소프트 콘택트 렌즈의 피팅 (Fitting of Soft Contact Lenses)

  • 콘택트 렌즈를 피팅하는 경우 각막곡율에 따른 렌즈의 베이스커브 및 직경의 영향을 고찰하기 위하여 각막곡율별로 stainless steel ball 및 wood ball 모형안을 사용하여 피팅 시뮬레이션을 시도하였다. 완전구면체인 steel ball에 대한 피팅은 대부분 flat fitting으로 관찰되었지만 건성안에 대한 피팅 관찰용의 정량적인 모형안으로는 적합하였다. 사람의 안구와 유사한 형태의 wood ball에 대한 렌츠피팅의 형상은 실제 안구에 대한 피팅 형상과 결과가 거의 유사하였다. 콘택트렌즈의 최적 피팅(normal fitting)에 요구되는 각막곡율과 베이스커브(B.C)의 관계는 다음과 같이 정리할 수 있다. 즉 각막곡율 7.6mm 이하에서는 B.C 8.4mm, 각막곡율 7.6~7.8mm에서는 B.C 8.4~8.5mm, 각막곡율 7.8~8.1mm에서는 B.C 8.6mm이다. 또한 평균 각막곡율이 7.6mm일 때 안구돌출이 심한 경우 피팅 렌즈의 B.C는 정상안(7.6mm 각막곡율)의 B.C보다 0.1~0.3mm 더 커야 하는 것으로 관찰되었다. 지나치게 얇은 렌즈를 건성안 모형에 피팅한 결과 심하게 휘거나 뒤틀리는 현상이 발생하였다. Wood ball 모형안에 대한 피팅 결과는 비교적 실제안구에 대한 결과와 대부분 일치하지만 실제 순목 현상에 따른 피팅 상태의 변화를 감지할 수 없는 결점이 있다. 따라서 이 문제점을 포함하여 실제안구에 미치지 못하는 기타 문제점을 보완한다면, wood ball은 콘택트렌즈의 피팅에 따른 물리화학 및 유체역학적인 해석에 활용할 수 있는 좋은 도구(모형안)가 될 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.

ON C-BOCHNER CURVATURE TENSOR OF A CONTACT METRIC MANIFOLD

  • We prove that a (k, $\mu$)-manifold with vanishing E­Bochner curvature tensor is a Sasakian manifold. Several interesting corollaries of this result are drawn. Non-Sasakian (k, $\mu$)­manifolds with C-Bochner curvature tensor B satisfying B $(\xi,\;X)\;\cdot$ S = 0, where S is the Ricci tensor, are classified. N(K)-contact metric manifolds $M^{2n+1}$, satisfying B $(\xi,\;X)\;\cdot$ R = 0 or B $(\xi,\;X)\;\cdot$ B = 0 are classified and studied.

와이퍼 블레이드 고무의 표면 처리에 따른 특성 (The Characteristics of Wiper Blade Rubber with Surface Treatments)

  • The surface of wiper blade(W/B) rubber was chlorinated by chemical treatment method using the hydrochloric acid(HCI) and sodium hypochlorite(NaOCl). From the results of contact angle measurement, friction coefficient measurement, and ATR-IR spectra, the surface characteristics of chlorinated W/B rubber with time of chlorination were studied. Contact angles for W/B rubber with increasing time of chlorination and chlorine concentration were measured for the water and ethylene glycol. From the results, contact angle fell rapidly with increasing time of chlorination and chlorine concentration, reaching a constant value after about 10min. And the wettability of W/B rubber surface by means of chlorination has been improved. For an unchlorinated W/B rubber, the friction coefficient with time of chlorination decreased from 1.27 to 0.20~0.23 on full chlorination. As the results it was considered that abrasion resistance of W/B rubber surface has been also improved. The values of pH and $Cl^-$ ion concentration in a chlorine treatment solution decreased as the extent of chlorination of W/B rubber surface increased. From the results of ATR-IR spectra, it was observed that C=C double band of W/B rubber surface transformed into C-Cl band, but quantitative determination of the extent of chlorination was not feasible because of the complexity of chlorination reactions.

소프트콘택트렌즈 재질과 착색에 따른 눈물성분 침착과 칸디다균 흡착의 상관관계 (Relationship between the Deposition of Tear Constituents and the Adherence of Candida albicans according to Soft Contact Lens Materials and Pigmentation)

  • 목적: 본 연구에서는 소프트콘택트렌즈의 재질 특성과 착색 여부가 눈물 성분이 침착된 소프트콘택트렌즈에 칸디다균 흡착에 미치는 영향을 알아보았다. 방법: Etafilcon A, hilafilcon B, nelfilcon A 재질의 투명 소프트콘택트렌즈와 써클 소프트콘택트렌즈를 대상으로 하여 인공눈물에 침착시키기 전과 후의 흡착 균 수를 측정하였다. 또한, 주사전자현미경을 통해 렌즈에 흡착된 균을 관찰하였다. 결과: 칸디다균의 흡착은 콘택트렌즈 재질에 따라 통계적으로 유의하게 차이가 있었다. Etafilcon A 재질에서는 투명 소프트콘택트렌즈와 써클 콘택트렌즈간 균 흡착양 차이가 없었으며, hilafilcon B 및 nelfilcon A 재질에서는 써클 소프트콘택트렌즈에 흡착된 균 수가 다소 많았다. 투명 중심부와 착색부를 비교하였을 때 투명 중심부에 칸디다균 흡착이 더 많았으며, 투명 중심부와 투명 주변부를 비교하였을 때 투명 주변부에서의 균 흡착양이 더 많았다. 눈물 단백질이 침착되었을 경우 흡착된 칸디다균의 수가 감소하였으며 눈물 단백질의 칸디다균에 대한 항균력 유지는 재질에 따라 차이가 있어 etafilcon A 재질 렌즈에서 유지 기간이 가장 길었다. 결론: 본 연구에서는 소프트콘택트렌즈의 재질 특성, 착색여부 및 부위에 따라 흡착되는 칸디다균수가 달라진다는 것을 밝혔으며, 칸디다균의 흡착 특성에 따라 관리 방법을 달리해야 할 것을 제안한다.

이온 이온주입한 p-type 4H-SiC에의 오믹 접촉 형성 (Formation of Ohmic Contacts on acceptor ion implanted 4H-SiC)

  • Ohmic contact characteristics of Al ion implanted n-type SiC wafer were investigated. Al ions implanted with high dose to obtain the final concentration of $5{\times}10^{19}/cm^3$, then annealed at high temperature. Firstly, B ion ion implanted p-well region were formed which is needed for fabrication of SiC devices such as DIMOSFET and un diode. Secondly, Al implanted high dose region for ohmic contact were formed. After ion implantation, the samples were annealed at high temperature up to $1600^{\circ}C\;and\;1700^{\circ}C$ for 30 min in order to activate the implanted ions electrically. Both the inear TLM and circular TLM method were used for characterization. Ni/Ti metal layer was used for contact metal which is widely used in fabrication of ohmic contacts for n-type SiC. The metal layer was deposited by using RF sputtering and rapid thermal annealed at $950^{\circ}C$ for 90sec. Good ohmic contact characteristics could be obtained regardless of measuring methods. The measured specific contact resistivity for the samples annealed at $1600^{\circ}C\;and\;1700^{\circ}C$ were $1.8{\times}10^{-3}{\Omega}cm^2$, $5.6{\times}10^{-5}{\Omega}cm^2$, respectively. Using the same metal and same process of the ohmic contacts in n-type SiC, it is found possible to make a good ohmic contacts to p-type SiC. It is very helpful for fabricating a integrated SiC devices. In addition, we obtained that the ratio of the electrically activated ions to the implanted Al ions were 10% and 60% for the samples annealed at $1600^{\circ}C\;and\;1700^{\circ}C$, respectively.

직접 접촉식을 이용한 빙축열 시스템 (Cold Energy Storage System Using Direct Contact Heat Transfer)

  • In this study, experimental investigations to find cold energy storage performance have been made for two different temperatures at condenser. Temperatures at inlet and outlet of condenser were measured to calculate global heat transfer coefficient of direct contact method in our cold energy storage system. Also storage performance by direct contact method was compared with that of Ice-On-Coil type ice storage which was calculated by analytic solution. Results show that, in the case of $-8.0^{\circ}C$ at condenser inlet, heat transfer coefficient of direct contact method is 3.25 times higher than that of conventional method and COP of system is improved by using R141b as refrigerant which produces gas hydrate and has higher phase change temperature than $0.0^{\circ}C$.

GEOMETRIC INEQUALITIES FOR SUBMANIFOLDS IN SASAKIAN SPACE FORMS

  • B. Y. Chen introduced a series of curvature invariants, known as Chen invariants, and proved sharp estimates for these intrinsic invariants in terms of the main extrinsic invariant, the squared mean curvature, for submanifolds in Riemannian space forms. Special classes of submanifolds in Sasakian manifolds play an important role in contact geometry. F. Defever, I. Mihai and L. Verstraelen [8] established Chen first inequality for C-totally real submanifolds in Sasakian space forms. Also, the differential geometry of slant submanifolds has shown an increasing development since B. Y. Chen defined slant submanifolds in complex manifolds as a generalization of both holomorphic and totally real submanifolds. The slant submanifolds of an almost contact metric manifolds were defined and studied by A. Lotta, J. L. Cabrerizo et al. A Chen first inequality for slant submanifolds in Sasakian space forms was established by A. Carriazo [4]. In this article, we improve this Chen first inequality for special contact slant submanifolds in Sasakian space forms.

Bacillus cereus의 농산물 접촉 표면 재질별 생존력 및 상추로의 교차오염도 조사 (Survival of Bacillus cereus and Its Transfer from Agricultural Product-Contact Surfaces to Lettuce)

  • 본 연구는 polyvinyl chlroride (PVC)와 stainless steel 표면에서 B. cereus의 온 습도에 따른 생존율을 조사하고, B. cereus이 오염된 작업대 표면에서 상추로의 교차오염도 조사를 통하여 B. cereus에 오염된 작업대가 상추의 미생물학적 안전성에 미치는 영향을 평가하고자 수행하였다. 작업대 재질별 B. cereus의 생존은 온도 $20^{\circ}C$, $30^{\circ}C$, 습도 43%, 69%, 100%에서 각각 노출 시켰을 때, 습도 43%, 69% 조건에서 24시간 이내에 전체 세포수는 약 3.53~4.00 log CFU/coupon이 감소한데 반해 포자수는 약 3.00 log CFU/coupon 수준을 일정하게 유지하였다. 한편 온도 $30^{\circ}C$, 상대습도 100%에서는 노출 12시간 후에 포자수가 2.29~2.59 log CFU/coupon정도 증가하였다. 유기물이 작업대 표면에 존재 시, B. cereus의 감소 속도가 느렸다. B. cereus에 오염된 작업대에 상추를 접촉시키고 상추의 오염도를 조사한 결과, 상추 표면에 수분이 존재할 때 B. cereus오염된 작업대 표면에서 B. cereus의 이동수준이 상추에 수분이 없을 때 보다 10배 이상 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 B. cereus에 오염된 작업대는 상추의 안전성에 직접적인 영향을 미칠 수 있어 작업 후에 세척, 소독을 통하여 작업대를 위생적으로 관리하는 것이 필요하다.

  • Heat transfer characteristics of a direct contact heat exchanger utilizing sieve trays and spray nozzles for steam condensation for the purpose of combining with a LNG evaporator have been investigated with various cooling water flow rates and different vacuum pressures within the heat exchanger for the purpose of steam condensation. Temperature profiles and the volumetric overall heat transfer coefficients in a direct contact heat exchanger have been obtained for comparisons. The results show that the temperature differences between cooling water and steam along the direct contact heat exchanger height are rapidly decreasing and the volumetric overall heat transfer coefficients of the exchanger improves greatly as the inside vacuum pressure increases. The values of the overall heat transfer coefficients at P=-680mmHg have been increased significantly compared with at atmospheric pressure. At given pressure conditions, it is found that the values of average volumetric overall heat transfer coefficients for the sieve tray are found to be approximately 10% higher than those of the spray nozzle.

실리콘 고무의 소수성에 미치는 첨가된 실리콘 오일의 영향 (Effects of Added Silicone Oils on the Surface Hydrophobicity of Silicone Rubber)

  • This paper reports on the effects of silicone oils, used as processing agents, on the recovery of hydrophobicity of silicone rubber. The recovery of hydrophobicity was evaluated by the measuring the contact angle, the surface electrical resistance and SEM. Here, we formed artificial contamination on the surface of samples, which scratched by sand papers and alumina powders. There was small recovery of hydrophobicity on the surface of SIR-A that silicone oil was not added. In both oil-added samples, SIR-B and SIR-C, recovery of hydrophobicity was achieved greatly. The surface of SIR-C showed that a lot of silicone oil was observed due to migration of oil, relatively in comparison with SIR-B. The tendency of recovery of hydrophobicity expressed by contact angle was in a good agreement with electrical property as determined by surface resistivity.
