차륜/레일간의 접촉력 계산을 위한 접촉점 해석 알고리즘 (Contact Point Analysis for Wheel/Rail Contact Force Calculation)

  • In this paper, descibed was the derived algorithm for calculating contact point between wheel and rail and the developed method for rail modeling. The proposed methods use travelling distance to represent rail center line position vector and rail orientation with respect to Newtonian reference frame. The methods call be easily used ill multibody dynamic analysis. Two numerical examples are shown to verify the validity of the proposed methods.

  • In this paper, efficient and accurate contact search algorithm is proposed for the contact problems by the finite element method. A slave node and a maser contact segment is defined using the side of a finite element on the contact surface. The specific goal is to develop techniques of reducing the nonsmoothness of the contact interactions arising from the finite element discretization of the contact surface. Contact detection is accomplished by monitoring the territory of the slave nodes throughout the calculation for possible penetration of a master surface. To establish the validity of the proposed algorithm, some different process and geometries examples were simulated. Efforts are focused on the error rate that is based on the penetrated area through the simulations fur large deformation with contact surface between deformable bodies. A proposed algorithm offers improvements in contact detection from the simulation results.

철도차량 차륜마멸예측에 관한 연구 (A study on the prediction of wheel wear of railway rolling stock)

  • This paper describes an analytical method for wheel wear prediction. The outputs from vehicle dynamic software are used to calculation the wheel wear. Two calculation examples are shown for a high-speed line and a conventional line. Through the comparison of two cases, we can see the wheel wear characteristics on the conventional line and the high-speed line. The conventional line has many curved tracks that cause severe wheel flange wear. The influences of curve radius on wheel wear are also described considering the operational performance of the high speed trainset. A method of calculation using contact patch work model is presented for determination of the evolution by wear railway wheels.

  • It is necessary to analyze the contact phenomena in order to effectively design the machine components with contact surfaces. In general, the contact action is highly nonlinear and irreversible because we cannot predict the contact regions and conditions. Recently, the finite element method is used to analyze the contact problem. In this paper, the contact element method is applied to avoid the mesh refinement and iterative calculation of general contact algorithms. By use of it, the deformation and stress concentration of turbo compressor rotor are computed. It shown that the contact element is convenient analysis and the results are relatively accurate.

  • In multibody dynamic analysis including contact and impact, there are two major analysis methods, i.e., piecewise analysis and continuous analysis. Modeling of contact phenomena is mainly classified with a Kelvin-Voigt model or a model of Hertz contact model. In this paper, a contact module fur AutoDyn7 program was developed and implemented. Both the Kelvin-Voigt model and a model of Hertz contact law were developed. The process of this module is composed of contact distinction and the contact force calculation. Two examples were verified and compared to the commercial program DADS.

  • Generally, Hertz theory is used to analyze the contact problem of two bodies. It is simple derivation of solution in the contact part. And calculation time is short Moreover, it can mean well that many wear occurs relatively. However, material property becomes plastic deformation when large perpendicular pressure acts on a small contact surface product. In this case, Hertz theory is inapplicable. Therefore this thesis carried the finite element analysis in consideration of material elasticitystrain and the shape of the geometric from contact point. And it compared with Hertz theory that change of the contact surface and contact pressure.

Various practical methods to calculate immediate settlement, consolidation settlement, and secondary compression of the compressive soils under the shallow foundation are summerized. Especially the critical depth for settlement calculation, the contact pressure, the allowable settlement of the shallow foundation are recommended.

고주기 피로 모델을 이용한 타원 접촉시 피로 수명에 관한 연구 (A Study on Fatigue Life under Elliptical Contact using High Cycle Fatigue Models)

  • In this study, using high cycle fatigue (HCF) criteria, the simulation of rolling contact fatigue is conducted under elliptical contact. The HCF criteria fall into three categories: the critical plane approach, the stress invariant approach and the approach based on the mesoscopic scale. The accurate calculation of contact stresses and subsurface stresses is essential to the prediction of crack initiation life. Contact stresses are obtained by contact analysis of a semi-infinite solid based on the use of influence functions and the subsurface stress field is obtained using rectangular patch solutions. The simulation results show that the critical load is decreasing rapidly and the site of crack initiation also moves rapidly to the surface from the subsurface when the friction coefficient exceeds a specific value for all of three fatigue criteria.

엑셀 프로그램을 이용한 콘택트렌즈의 Dk 결정 (An Excel Program for Dk Calculation of Contact Lens)

  • 목적: 콘택트렌즈 피팅 시 렌즈 관련 사양의 변화에 따라 다른 값을 가지는 각막에서 산소부족이 없는 최소 Dk값 및 산소농도를 계산/확인할 수 있는 프로그램을 수립하고자 하였다. 방법: 엑셀 프로그램을 이용하여 콘택트렌즈착용 시 렌즈 아래 형성되는 눈물층의 두께와 Dk값을 계산할 수 있는 방정식을 세우고 수치 계산 모델을 확립하였다. 결과: 렌즈사양을 변화시키면 렌즈 아래 눈물층의 두께가 변하며 이에 따라 산소투과도가 다르게되므로 각막이 요구하는 최소 산소농도 역시 달라짐을 계산으로 확인하였으며, 눈물층의 두께를 위한 계산 프로그램은 눈물층의 형태에 따라 다르게 선택되어야 함을 밝혔다. 즉, flat 피팅 시에는 렌즈가장자리와 각막이 만나서 만들어지는 오목면의 형태에 따라 렌즈 아래 눈물층의 두께가 결정되며, flat하게 피팅 될수록 각막주변부 표면의 산소농도는 감소되어 계산값으로는 (-)가 되며 실제로는 산소농도는 0이 된다. Tight 피팅 시 각막표면의 산소를 계산하면 tight 피팅으로 눈물층의 두께가 렌즈의 두께보다 극단적으로 두꺼워지게 되어 계산값은 역시 (-)가 되며 각막 표면의 산소 농도는 0이 되어 산소결핍을 야기하게 됨을 알 수 있다. 결론: 콘택트렌즈의 변수를 조절하여 피팅 상태를 변경할 때에는 눈물층의 두께와 이에 따른 각막표면의 산소농도를 정확하게 계산하여 산소결핍이 나타나는 일이 없도록 하여야 한다.

최적 러그 배치를 위한 골리앗 크레인의 와이어 로프와 선체 블록간의 동적 접촉력 계산 (Calculation of the Dynamic Contact Force between a Shipbuilding Block and Wire Ropes of a Goliath Crane for the Optimal Lug Arrangement)

  • 본 연구에서는 선체 블록의 운반 작업 중 발생하는 동적 하중 및 골리앗 크레인의 와이어 로프(wire rope)와 선체 블록간의 동적 접촉력을 고려한 최적 러그 배치 시스템을 설계하고, 다물체계 동역학 커널과 외력 계산 커널을 개발하였다. 다물체계 동역학 커널은 recursive formulation을 이용하여 운동 방정식을 구성하였고, 외력 계산 커널은 비선형 유체 정역학적 힘, 선형 유체 동역학적 힘, 풍력, 계류력을 계산할 수 있다. 개발된 커널의 효용성을 검증하기 위해, 이를 이용하여 와이어 로프와 블록간의 간섭과 이때 작용하는 동적 접촉력을 계산하였고, 마지막으로 계산 결과를 반영하여 러그가 부착된 블록에 대한 구조 해석을 수행하였다.
