This study aims to provide basic information that would be useful to develop more specialized fashion design products for launching Korean Wave fashion, especially in Singapore market where Korean Wave culture has been expanding significantly. To identify recognition level of Korean Wave fashion, customer survey was conducted to females in their late 10s to early 20s. The analysis on the current fashion market also was made, which showed the result that the elegant style was dominant in the local fashion market. According to the customer survey result, K-pop was the most influential on Korean Wave. Amongst the female K-pop stars, 2NE1 was ranked the first who most of those surveyed wanted to copy her fashion style, and the ranking followed by Girl's Generation and BoA. With this result, it would be recommended to reflect K-pop star's style in designing fashion products as design and style turned out to be the most important factors that those surveyed considered upon clothing purchase. However, there should be various promotion activities in order to make Korea fashion brands known to the public because only 24.6% of those surveyed responded that they were aware of Korean fashion brands launched in Singapore market. Nevertheless, as those respondents were willing to buy Korean fashion brand products, there would be plenty of potential to succeed in Singapore market if there would be continuous efforts to raise Korean brand awareness.
This study is an initial report of actual wearing conditions and attitude based on a survey of wearing outdoor wear for men and women in their 30s to 50s who enjoy daily leisure sport activities. Most middle-aged men and women who enjoy outdoor activities were interested in new trends and clothing styles. The greatest area of interest was health(42.9%), followed by leisure and sports(38.4%); in addition, hiking(40.2%) was the most popular outdoor activity. The majority of subjects participated in outdoor activities for over 5 years(34.4%). The highest frequency of outdoor activities was conducted once or twice a month, and it took one to three hours for each activity. Nearly half of the respondents( 47.7%) answered that the goal of outdoor activities was to maintain their health. Subjects in their 40s and 50s were more equipped in their outdoor activities and in their 50s made ongoing investments despite costs. When wearing clothing, the subjects placed a priority on design(in the case of subjects in their 30s) and comfort(for subjects in their 40s and 50s). This survey shows that the subjects emphasized access to outdoor wear and equipment. In all age groups, the biggest complaint about outdoor wear was price; in addition, they were unsatisfied with the length and the sleeves of outdoor jackets. Outdoor wear will draw a positive attention for its practical use of clothing if it is developed according to consumer demands based on functionality for outdoor activities and convenience in daily life.

Since the introduction of carbonated drinks in the 1950s, 'cola' and 'cider'along with orange juice, the dominator of the juice market, have been two main streams of the Korean beverage market. This market pattern has caused the following effects; a. Economical loss due to the import of foreign brands - royalty payments to x company. b. Loss of opportunity to develop a domestic beverage market. c. Inflow of an unfiltered foreign culture. This study shows a change in the Korean beverage market. In the 1980s. consumers' tastes started to change as a trend of developing beverages using traditional Korean ingredients started to begin. On the basis of this change, I would like to discuss the desirable path in developing beverages using traditional ingredients. 'Traditional ingredients'refers to the ingredients that the Korean people have enjoyed within the course of their life, whether it be via food or beverage. These ingredients have been chosen by our people as first rate for centuries. How to modernize and develop these work-in-progress products is the desirable direction for the development of drinks using traditional Korean ingredients. This study also shows various examples of how Korean traditional ingredients and the Western scientific civilization can fuse together to develop a modern and value-added product. One project in particular, created a method of producing a beverage using rice a simple traditional ingredient, marking it a hit product. Through this example, I present the desirable direction of how to develop a modernized drink using traditional ingredients that can change both the consumers' current value on the Korean beverage market as well as create a new pattern of consumer tastes.

We wish to develop contents of download form that supply geographic information of Electronic Navigational Chart(ENC) in the marine that is digitalized to carrying along terminal of WIPI base and various informations for marine leisure. For this, DB that offer ENC and additional information should be constructed. Also, we need server(CPS; Contents provider Server) that offer required contents. In this paper, we design web retrieval component which store request information to database. When consumer required necessary information through personal mobile device, CPS can inform that. So, we wish to develop web retrieval agent component that parse informations in various World Wide Webs, and store to database.

Fashion luxury products, which used to mean high-quality, handcrafted not-so-trendy items, are nowadays regarded as expensive fashion merchandise produced under the name of imported well-known brands. People cunsuming fashion luxury products distinguish themselves from other people according to the luxury fashion brands they are using, and as a result, advertisements of fashion luxury products are taken as a kind of international language. The purpose of this study is to point out the socio-cultural meanings of consuming fashion luxury products, by analyzing images shown in advertisements of fashion luxury products focusing on women's images. Lannon(1994) asserted, 'Today consumer market has reached its maturity, and products gets more and more similar. So brands should be distinguished from competitors by emotional values.' Parody ads, one of advertisements appealing to emotion, would distort some original work well known to the public with its blemish or seriousness on target by imitating or exaggerating it regardless of expression styles, and announce the results to criticize the work itself or social situations or excite laughter. Such parody ads are stimulating consumers' emotion in particular and diverse methods. But This study on parody and especially parody in advertising, deals with the basic concepts of parody in advertising, as well as copyright infringement issues highlighting the different legal interpretations in American and Korean law when dealing with indiscreet cases of parody in advertising. some suggestions are made on desirable and forword-looking solutions. Different to the acceptance of parody in the American culture, Korean law was limiting in allowing parody to be used and applied.
