Second, three consumer groups - Efficiency Shopper Group, Indifference Shopper Group Ambivalence Shopper Group - with different shopping orientations were identified. Third, the study found significant differences in consumers' attribute evaluation such as function and price among the groups. The study also revealed a significant difference in contingent purchase motivations and brand re-purchase intention among the groups. From these results, we could identify that cosmetics re-purchase intention was significantly different among three different groups with different shopping orientations. Furthermore, consumer classification according to shopping orientations in cosmetics product purchase can be used by cosmetics marketers and managers to establish product plan and marketing strategy development. Additionally, the current study has originality and value that the relationship between shopping orientation and re-purchase intention has not been studied very much in the cosmetics product domain.

  • The purpose of this paper is to understand the influence of country personality dimensions and product involvement on European consumers purchase and visit intentions, considering the Portuguese context. The increasing economic globalisation has resulted in the reducing of trade barriers between nations and the availability of more foreign products and services across borders. Therefore, the place associations of these products and services might be regarded as a potential competitive differentiator in their respective markets. Despite the proliferation of literature devoted to assessing the effects of country-of-origin, the symbolic dimension of a country's image remains understudied. A questionnaire measuring country personality dimensions, product involvement, and consumer's purchase and visit intention was passed on a sample of 335 European consumers. Country personality indeed matters both positively and negatively. Findings show that while assiduousness positively influences consumer's visit intentions, wickedness has a negative influence on consumer's purchase intentions. Findings also reveal that product involvement has a positive significant influence on consumer's purchase and visit intentions. On developing marketing strategies, international marketers and governmental decision-makers should consider product involvement attributes and specific country personality traits to provide the country's products with a competitive edge, as well as to promote the country as a travelling destination.

  • This study explored the determinant variables influence of Chinese consumers' purchase intention towards products featured in Korean TV dramas vis-$\grave{a}$-vis product placement (PPL). We invited 248 Chinese adult consumers who had watched Korean TV dramas in last twelve months to participate in this survey. Data analyses were conducted by Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ reliability test, confirmatory factor analysis, t -test, analysis of variance and hierarchical multiple regression with SPSS ver. 21.0 and AMOS ver. 21.0. We chose PPL effects, product quality perceptions, and product trust as main independent variables. The empirical analysis results demonstrate that female (versus male) and frequency of (or longer time) watching dramas resulted in higher perceived consumer PPL effects, product quality, trust and purchase intention. The positive effects of the product quality and product trust on purchase intentions were confirmed. There are additional mediation effects of product quality perceptions and trust on the relationship between consumer demographic characteristics (gender), TV drama watching conditions (frequency and time) and purchase intention. This research can help Korean corporations produce effective advertising by indicating how PPL affects Chinese consumer consumption behavior. The results are useful for the Chinese government and consumer organizations to improve the domestic consumption environment by developing effective TV drama PPL policies.
