  • The aggregate materials being scottored in districts of the country were investigated to provide the data to the Consturction worker who are working without quality tests of construction materials in the small scale land consolidation, farm building construction and new village Construction projects in the country. Also results of the survey will be helpful to those who want to devise a succerrful plan in concrete execution by means of specifying a standard and technical treatment of construction materials.

  • Recently, the prestressed concrete long-span bridegs are increasingly built at various locations in the world. The mechanical and structural behavior of prestressed concrete bridges is very complex because of nonlinear and time-dependent material behavior and sequential change of structural system due to stepwise construction. These factors may cause construction errors with respect to design value and monitoring system is needed to minimize or to protect construction errors. This study presents the basis development of monitoring system for precise construction of large scale prestressed concrete bridges.

고강도 콘크리트의 단열온도상승에 관한 실험적 연구 (The Hydration Heat of High Strength Concrete)

  • The heat of hydration of cement causes the intemal temperature rise at early age, particulay in massive concrete structures. As the results of the temperature rise and restraint condition, the thermal stress amy induce cracks in concrete. The prediction of the thermal stress is very important in design and consturction slages in order to control the cracks in mass concrete. In this study, the temperature rise of high strength concrete due to the heat of hydration is investigated. Test variables are type and content of binder. As the results, the temperature rise is imcreased with increasing cement content. However, the increament is decreased in higher cement comtnet range. Fly ash is effictive in the reduction of hydration heat.

  • Heavyweight(or High density) concrete, which is generally for shiedling structures, differs from normal weight concrete by having a higher density and special compositions to improve its attenuation properties. There are setting 7 Beam Ports around the reactor of the KMRR Project(Korea Multi-purpose Research Reactor) conducted by the KAERI(Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute). High density(p=5.0t/$\textrm{m}^3$) and Heavyweight(p=3.5t/$\textrm{m}^3$) concrete were placed around the Beam Ports in order to shield radiation. This paper was discussed about construction of High density concrete. High density concrete was placed with method of Preplace Aggregate. Coarse metallic aggregate(steel shot) was used. Boron, boron carbide(B4C), was used to capture effctively the neutrom. The mock-up test was carried out. And the consturction of High density concrete was performed successfully.

  • This study delivers the actual condition of investment for industrial accident prevention based on survey of 500 construction sites from 'reports for industry safety and health' published by Korea Occupational Safety & Health Agency (KOSHA). The various research techniques were used such as technical statistic analysis for construction industry, cost comparison of industrial accident prevention and accident loss. A formula was deduced to calculate accident loss and accident frequency by accident prevention cost through regression analysis.

  • 철근콘크리트조 공사의 안전성과 효율성은 동바리-슬래브거푸집의 최적의 운영에 달려있다. 철근콘크리트공사에서의 사고는 주로 가설공사에 과도한 하중이 작용하였거나 동바리를 조기에 철거하기 때문에 발생한다. 콘크리트의 조기압축강도발현이 공사중구조체의 안전에 중요하다. 슬래브-동바리의 상호작용에 관한 연구는 주로 무량슬래브 구조에 대하여 이루어 졌다. 본 연구에서는 전단벽식 철근콘크리트조 아파트에서 슬래브와 동바리에서의 하중분포를 유한요소법을 이용하여 조사하였다.

시멘트특성에 따른 콘크리트의 물리적 성질에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Physical Properties of Concrete Using all kinds of Cements)

  • The selection of Cement types is greatly dependent on the structural requirement and consturction location associated with control of hydration heat, acquisition of early strength, existence of sulfate attacks and so on. Based on this, this study adresses the comparison of physical properties of concrete according to the use of different cement types. As a result of testing with OPC, blast furnace slag and low heat cement, it is found that concrete made with low heat cement is much better in term of hydration heat and permeability. It is also recommended to select a preper cement type depending on structural characteristics.

저온탄화처리 폐가구재로 제조한 재생보드의 물성 (Properties of Recycled Board Made of Disused Wooden Furniture Carbonized at Low Temperature)

  • This study was carried for recycling laminated PB and MDF of disused furniture. PB and MDF particles taken from disused furniture were heat-treated at $250^{\circ}C$ and four levels of treatment time, 2, 4, 6 and 8 hours. The recycled boards were made with heat-treated particles after milling and screening with 100 mesh. The bending strength of the recycled boards were lower than that of virgin boards while their anti-swelling efficiency were much improved. Their formaldehyde emissivity were very low. Thus it was concluded that the recylcled boards are prospective environment-friendly material for interial consturction.
