We use prototypes (also known as referent in semiotics) when we understand the outside world. Different language users use different prototypes to decode the same sound. When we learn Chinese language as a foreign language, during it's sound perceptual process, Korean learners' target language prototypes are different from Chinese native speakers'. The purpose of the paper is to examine the theory of speech perception and the theory of constructivism teaching, and to suggest to the Chinese language teachers to have Cunstructivist approach while they design there teaching course. For this, we concerned three things: First is to review speech perception theory and constructivism teaching theory. Second based on the preceding study, we review that learner's prototypes are different from Chinese native speaker and this cause the error of listening and pronunciation. Finally, we introduced two simple speech visualization programs developed to help us learn pronunciation.
Cultural heritage teaching and learning, which uses cultural heritage as educational content, has not been sufficiently analyzed and studied based on clear educational theories so far. Among educational theories, constructivism is a theory in which learning is a process of constructing learning contents determined by learners' individual experiences and interests, and the result is evaluated as a confirmation of whether or not they have the ability to carry out the process. Cultural heritage is a lively and interesting social and cultural product, and it is an educational content that has sufficient educational function and meaning for a textbook. It is considered to be a very meaningful study to apply the constructivist educational theory to the educational contents of cultural heritage with these characteristics. Based on this awareness of the problem, this study examined the characteristics and principles of constructivist teaching and learning, the characteristics of cultural heritage, and the principles of constructivist teaching and learning on a theoretical basis. In addition, from the perspective of constructivism, the current cultural heritage teaching and learning was analyzed and problems were derived. Based on this, the direction of cultural heritage teaching and learning is that the cultural heritage teaching and learning process should be learner-centered, the teaching and learning principle should be cognitive conflict, the teaching and learning content should be in the form of task solving, and teaching and learning activities should be cooperative. presented. In addition, an example of a program was presented to specifically show the actual state of teaching and learning of cultural assets from the perspective of constructivism. Cultural heritage teaching and learning research from the perspective of constructivism will be an opportunity to discover new meanings of cultural heritage that we have not yet found, and it will also serve as an opportunity to present and establish the direction of cultural heritage teaching and learning, which has been barren until now.

This study described the application of constructivism and information technology for teaching simple random sampling. We considered more student's participation, more interaction, and more flow in their introductory statistics class. In addition, we presented a web-based teaching and learning system for simple random sampling to demonstrate.
The paper reviews of the constructivist view of mathematics and mathematics education. First of all, we shall study how mathematics has been treated as an object of cognition in philosophy or cognitive theories, what is changed in modern mathematics. It can lead us to understand the constructivist perspective on mathematics. Secondly, we will examine the view, the teaching and learning principles of mathematics education based on constructivism. Didactic transposition theory will be used as a frame of reference for this examination.

Many educators say that one of the key theory which is widely accepted teaching-learning process in the 7th mathematics curriculum is constructivism. They believe constructivism is very powerful as a background theory in teaching-learning mathematics and in this point of view, each student can construct knowledge by himself in the inner world. Therefore, the aspect of teaching-learning methods in the 7th mathematics curriculum focused on inquiry learning, self-directed learning, cooperative learning. Through this methods, the 7th mathematics text also composed of ease, interesting and dynamic activity oriented subjects. And constructive teaching-learning methods in mathematics is implemented variously by those whom attracted in constructivism. Thus, the purpose of this study is to build up a model that is required to systematize teaching-learning process in mathematics as a guideline for teachers. Another purpose of this study is to make clear that the presented model is appropriate process for teaching-learning in mathematics.
In this article we study a reconstruction of mathematical knowledge on trigonometry by the method of ascent from the abstract to the concrete from the pedagogical viewpoint of dialectic. The direction of education is shifting in a way that emphasizes the active constitution of knowledge by the learning subjects from the perspective that knowledge is transferred from the teacher to the student. In mathematics education, active discussions on the construction of mathematical knowledge by learners have been going on since the late 1990s. In Korea, concepts and aspects of constructivism such as operational constructivism, radical constructivism, and social constructivism were introduced. However, examples of practical construction according to the direction of construction of mathematical knowledge are very hard to find. In this study, we discuss the direction of the actual construction of mathematical knowledge and suggest a concrete example of the actual construction of trigonometry knowledge from a constructivist point of view. In particular, we discuss the process of the construction of theoretical knowledge, the ascent from the abstract to the concrete, based on the literature study from the pedagogical viewpoint of dialectic, and show how to construct the mathematical knowledge on trigonometry by the method of ascent from the abstract to the concrete. Through this study, it is expected to introduce the new direction and new method of knowledge construction as 'the ascent from the abstract to the concrete', and to present the possibility of applying dialectic concepts to mathematics education.
This study was aimed to explore the effect of the physical science activity based on the constructivism on young children's scientific process skills and scientific attitudes, cognitive self-esteem. The subjects consisted of 20 five-years-old children of experimental group and 20 children of control group. Children of experimental group conducted the physical science activity based on the constructivism for total six weeks. As a result of study, children who experimental group showed significant result in the scientific process skill, scientific attitude, cognitive self-esteem. The educational implications of these indicate that we need to actively develop programs to increase scientific process skills and scientific attitude, cognition self-esteem of young children through teacher's education.
The purpose of this study is to confirm constructivists' assumption that when a little low level learners are taken in learner-centered instruction based on a constructivism they can also construct knowledge by themselves. To achieve this purpose, the researchers compare the effects of learner-centered instruction based on the constructivism and teacher-centered instruction based on the objective epistemology where second graders learn multiplication facts through the each treatment on learners' reasoning ability and achievement. Some conclusions are drawn from results as follows. First, learner-centered instruction based on a constructivism has significant effect on learners' reasoning ability. Second, learner-centered instruction has slightly positive effect on learners' deductive reasoning ability. Third, learner-centered instruction has more an positive influence on understanding concepts and principles of not-presented mathematical knowledge than teacher-centered instruction when implementing it with a little low level learners.
This study dealing with the Italian futurist and Russian constructivist costume designs which aimed for new fashion design freed from the conventional meanings of fashion and explore the artistic purpose reflected within the designs expressed differently according to cultural and regional differences in order examine the early 20th century Avant-grade costume designs. The scope of this study is limited to the 1910s to the 1930s when the Italian futurism and the Russian constructivism were originated and were most active. This monograph focused on the works of the Italian futurists, Giacomo Balla who declared the 'Manifesto delle moda minile futurista', Fortunato Depero, and Thayaht who suggested a new direction for the futurist, and on the works of the Russian constructivists Alexander Rodchenko, Varvara Stepanova and Liubov Popova. As an one method of investigated, this paper is used materials of various sources to examine their features. Futurists costume designs expressed a radical conception of progress and their source of aesthetics was dynamism. The concept of 'power' which was the basis of the futurists was incorporated in the costumes while non-symmetrical cut-outs and bright and vivid colors completed the futurist costume designs. Moreover the Russian constructivists brought advances in the field of fabric and textile designs. What was particularly interesting about the Russian constructivist costumes was that the artists worked at the textile mills themselves, directly involved in the designs and manufacturing of fabric, developing an advancement in textile and a new understanding of costume. Furthermore, many Russian artists settled in Paris, actively participating in the fashion industry, and therefore, they have greatly contributed to the development of the early 20th century Avant-garde costume designs.
