  • As one of the resource recovery projects, this study aims to select natural fibers and synthetic fibers that can be used for concrete mixing among waste fibers and reuse them for the base concrete mixture. Using waste fiber, we seek a solution to the problem of reduced fluidity and hardening time of fiber-reinforced concrete and find the optimal mix of the ground concrete mixed with waste fiber.

  • This study is an experiment about what affects the compressive strength by using a reducing agent (PNS based admixtures) to play cement using the cement paste based Waste Concrete Powder of waste concrete, which accounts for more than 60% of construction waste around the latest domestic and international It was. Securing the replacement of cement with Waste Concrete Powder and, by varying the admixture was to compensate for the low absorption of liquidity and obtain a fine powder. And the experiment was conducted with a constant water cement ratio and aggregate usage for the purpose of lowering the water cement ratio promoting strength development. When substituted with the experimental results of 0.3% based on 3 ~ 28 days as strength 36Mpa exhibited the highest strength.

  • Waste foundry sand of industrial waste which is happening by vast quantity according to fast development of industry has much the occurrence amount and processing method is depended on reclamation, and is using by fine aggregate for construction by recycling method among others. In this research Waste foundry sand powder into cement replace fare use possibility availability judge wish to Slump and air content decreased the replacement ratio increases by concrete special quality that do not harden according to experiment result, and unit capacity mass and bleeding increased the replacement ratio increases. Hardening concrete intensity special quality displayed strength improvement to replacement ratio 20%, and tendency that watertightness increases most in replacement ratio loft in watertight property appear. Considering the strength and watertight properties, the adequate usage of waste foundry sand powder is the 10% of replacement ratio.

  • Many studies are currently in progress concerning about recycling due to the environmental problems and the drain of the resources. Nowaday, the problems on wastes are increasing thus studies on the construction waste are necessary which is the greater part of domestic wastes. And much more studies on the waste concrete which takes a large part of construction wastes are in progress but the studies on how to handle the waste concrete economically are unsatisfactory. This study suggests the analyzation of the economical way of handling the waste concrete by processes depending on the cost which needed in the each process, and can be the fundamental data of the future construction waste recycling system.

  • Recently environmental pollution and resource depletion have been rapidly progressing in the world. Construction Industries discharge tones of wastes and consumes heavy resource as compared with the production activities of other industries, so it is the main reason of increasing of the Earth's environment. In Korea, as people become aware of the need of technical and institutional infrastructure for the recycling of construction wastes, they manage Allbraro system which is Total Management System in the wastes. Therefore, they promote the handling of standardized information, processing construction waste of transparency procure and promotion of the efficiency of task about the disposal of occurrence and movement of real-time construction waste. However, objective information for dismantling building did not construct in the organization of the system, so the emission of system randomly produces and discharges information of the waste. Because of that reasons, the exact value of waste abandonment is difficult to measure and recycling after waste disposal has the limit point. Therefore, in this study, advantages and disadvantages of the existing waste management system are analyzed, and we improved solution of construction building and environment of the city when BIM / GIS are utilized.

  • Recently, the demolition industry is becoming more important than ever for formulating reuse and recycling of a construction waste with the current trend in pursuing a sustainable development. As considering the situation of a domestic housing construction and an existing house, a scale of a demolition market is expected to increase continually. Therefore, for a sustainable development, it is needed to forecast and manage rightly the demolition waste producted in a demolition phase. But, because most of a demolition company is very small and the investment in a technology development is not enough, the effort to develope a system and to make a standard for managing righly a demolition waste is also not sufficient. Therefore, this study develops a system to automatize quantifying a demolition waste. This system makes it possible to manage the planning of demolition works and the quantifying, disposal, reusing and recycling of a demolition waste in one system by integrating all the activities related with demolition works. 3D drawings of each element for demolition works will manage by being linked to its schedule for visualizing 3D object. Also, this study presents methods for quantifying easily a demolition waste by using 3D object.

  • In this study, recently it is urgently required that recycle promotion of construction and demolition waste concrete because urban development is accelerated and redevelopment project is rapidly expanded, production quantity of construction and demolition waste concrete is being increased. On the other hand, it is urgently required that problem solution of demand and supply unbalance of fine aggregate because the sea sand is restricted by exhaustion of river sand and intensification of environment influence evaluation. Therefore, it tries to conform in time necessity, there is the objective of this study to provide the fundamental data about the re-application as the comparison and analysis the quality present condition for the recycled fine aggregate in the inside and outside of the country. At the same time it will be able to improve the quality of the recycled fine aggregate waste as investigating the physical nature and a quality present condition of the recycled fine aggregate from construction waste.

  • With the rapid growth in construction sector, it becomes all the more important to assess the amount of Construction and Demolition (C&D) waste being generated and analyze the practices needed to handle and use this waste before final disposal. This serves waste management and disposal issues, paving way to waste utilization in construction industry from the sustainability point of view. C&D waste constitutes a major bulk of total solid waste produced in the world. In this work, an attempt is made to study the performance of concrete using water soaked Recycled Coarse Aggregates (RCA) in replacement levels of 0%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% to Natural Coarse Aggregates (NCA). Experiments were designed and conducted to study the performance of RCA based concrete. Further suitable performance enhancement techniques to RCA based concrete were attempted, to achieve compressive strength at least equal to or more than that for no RCA based concrete (control concrete). Performance enhancement study is reported here for 50% and 100% RCA based concretes. All four techniques attempted have given favorable results encouraging use of RCA based concretes with full replacement levels, to adopt RCA based concrete in structural applications, without any kind of concern to the stake holder. Further attempts have also been made to use Recycled Fine Aggregates (RFA) with appropriate modifications to serve as fine aggregates in mortar and concrete. Using RFA blended with river sand fractions as well as RFA with Iron Ore Tailings (IOT) fractions, have given good results to serve as fine aggregates to the extent of 100% replacement levels in mortars and concretes.

  • LH Corporation uses the construction waste disposal fee standard, of which the model was developed a long time ago. Therefore, this model is problematic because it needs to reflect waste treatment facilities' technological development and environmental conditions. In this study, the estimated manpower and costs required for the process operation of waste treatment facilities were analyzed, followed by the proposed estimation criteria. This improved standard model can be used as a cost calculation standard for the recycling and treatment of construction waste in public institutions. The study also suggests that an increase in waste treatment costs is needed.
