  • Noise prediction are required as part of an environmental impact assessment. Prediction method that is used to domestic environmental impact assessment of construction site and industrial site is not applied work operation rate, work position, moving noise source, inner traffic flow, work type and height of noise source etc. The BS5228 methodology is used mainly for assessment of proposed open industrial sites(mineral extraction, landfill etc.), and larger long-term construction sites(typically for major infrastructure projects). also, estimation which consider various effect factor is possible.

  • The slab(flat) truss plate used for building construction is analyzed for vibration and noise. Using floor impact test and numerical method (FEM), both net form and traditional form are compared for vibration and noise. The results show that the frequencies of a net form are lower than those of a traditional form in the case of free vibration, and the noise values of a net form are lower than those of a traditional form for the range from 500 Hz to 2000 Hz.

  • This research is to determine the level of environmental pollution at a blasting construction area which is the origin of noise, vibration, and suspended particle, and to compare the results with other domestic and international standard data. This experiment is also to find out the effects resulting from blasting construction and to propose a plan that can decrease environmental pollution. The blasting construction area is a factory site which is about one and half million square meter and sewage disposal plant is about ninety thousand square meter. Both were selected as the areas for the tests to be conducted in determination test. The test to determine the level of noise, vibration, and total suspended particle was conducted thirty times around the blasting construction area by comparing measurement results and numerical analysis. However, as the test was not conducted in the laboratory but in the actual blasting construction area, it was not possible to do the test with the same exact conditions each true. Therefore, the test was not ideal as conditions could change from test to test. For the most part, the level of noise was below the standard level of 70dB. Every vibration test was under the standard limitation. For example, a house, 200m away was tested for noise and vibration and the level was found to be under the 0.2 cm/sec which is the standard for specialty designed cultural sites., i.e very low level. Also a buried oil pipeline that was 30m away also marked under 2.0cm/sec which is the norm for an industrial area. However, if there were an oil pipeline under the house, the amount of charging gunpowder per hole should be decreased compared to the amount used in the test. The test result for suspended particles under the standard limitation which is 24hour average 300$\mu\textrm{g}$/㎥ at a distance from blasting wavelength, but at detonator, total suspended particle from the blast origin exceeded the standard limitation. If explosion occurs when it detonates in the hole, most of the energy would be absorbed in the crushing of rocks, but some remaining energy would make noises and vibration inevitable. So the important thing is how to minimize the environmental pollution from the blasting. There should be regulations in order that the standard limitation is not exceeded, and to decrease the environmental pollution from the blasting.

  • In order to evaluate the effect of blasting vibration in buildings and it's resident located around blasting construction field in urban area, blasting vibration characteristics were measured the vibration level, vibration velocity. The 250g and 750g of charged powder were used at the apartment and at the ground, respectively. In the measurement of the ground, Z(perpendicularity) axis was the highest value in vibration level, but vertical axis was the highest value at 25m point and longitudinal axis was the highest value at 50m point in vibration velocity. The amount of measurement was high value when measuring point is higher than blasting source, while that of measurement was low value when measuring point is lower than blasting source. In the measurement of the apartment, 2 axis was the highest value in vibration level, but in vibration velocity transverse axis was the highest value at ground, was vertical axis at 1st floor, was longitudinal axis at 3rd floor and was vertical and longitudinal axis at 5th floor. The vibration level and the vibration velocity of 50m point showed higher correlation value than 25m point at the ground, but those of 25m point showed higher correlation value than 50m point at the apartment.

  • This study presents a new analysis of blast vibration equations of a bridge structures using a reliability index. Changing the reliability makes each blast vibration equation. The blast equations are divided into three classes, having 50%, 90% and 99.9% at ${\beta}$=0, 1.28 and 3 respectively. In the result of this research, the assumption equations which used ${\beta}$=1.28 is suitable. By using these blast equations, it is possible for users to predict reliable ground vibration values upon demand.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide a fundamental data for efficient and economical reduction method and predict ion method of floor impact noise. In order to get the useful results, the measurement on the vibration transmission characteristics of standard test building with four rooms by using heavy and light-weighed impact source were carried out. In this measurement various conditions such as the change of test structure construction, the pick-up sensor location, the excitation posit ion, and the resilient material types were applied to get the vibration characteristics transmitted from excitation room to adjacent rooms.

  • Whole body vibration is very important for operators in construction equipment (CE) industry. There is ISO 2631 regulation to protect operators of CE. Recently WBV is one of critical performance parameters of CE to give operators much better comfortable working environment. And there are many kinds of numerically simplified human body model for the motor industry. We applied one human body model in ISO 5982 for the CE development at early stage. And we've checked the validity of this model to consider WBV by the operator comfort point of view.
