  • A Study on the construction of Chulik in the early 16th century based on the shrouds from the excavated grave of Kim, Heum-Jo(1461∼1528) is reported in this paper. This paper first reviews the general construction methodology found in the shrouds from other graves in early 16th century revealed from a report on Chulik from the excavated grave of Kim, Heumjo. This paper finds that there exist at least three different Chulik forms according to the ratios between upper portion and lower portion in Chulik. The upper portion to the lower portion ratio grows with time. Among the three forms, this Chulik of interest falls in the first one of the three forms. This new finding of the chronological evidence for the first category of the three forms provides us the latest chronology for the first category, which is up to the year 1567. This paper also shows that the second and the third categories of Chulik in early Chosun Dynasty lasted until 1580\`s and until 1590\`s, respectively. Several remarks on construction methodology found in the Chulik of interest are also reported in this paper.

  • The explosive increase in the use of email has made to need email classification efficiently and accurately. Current work on the email classification method have mainly been focused on a binary classification that filters out spam-mails. This methods are based on Support Vector Machines, Bayesian classifiers, rule-based classifiers. Such supervised methods, in the sense that the user is required to manually describe the rules and keyword list that is used to recognize the relevant email. Other unsupervised method using clustering techniques for the multi-category classification is created a category labels from a set of incoming messages. In this paper, we propose a new automatic email multi-category classification method using NMF for automatic category label construction method and dynamic category hierarchy method for the reorganization of email messages in the category labels. The proposed method in this paper, a large number of emails are managed efficiently by classifying multi-category email automatically, email messages in their category are reorganized for enhancing accuracy whenever users want to classify all their email messages.

  • Environmental problems like global warming have now become important issues that should be considered in all industries, including construction. In South Korea, many studies have been conducted to achieve the government's goals of reduction in environmental impacts. However, the research on buildings has only focused on CO2 emission as a research target despite the fact that other environmental impacts resulting from ozone depletion and acidification should also be considered, in addition to global warming. In this regard, this study attempted to propose assessment criteria and methods to evaluate the environmental performance of the structures from various aspects. The environmental impact category can be divided into global impacts, regional impacts, and local impacts. First, global impacts include global warming, ozone layer depletion, and abiotic resource depletion, while regional impacts include acidification, eutrophication, and photochemical oxidation. In addition, noise and vibration occurring in the building construction phase are defined as local impacts. The evaluation methods on the eight environmental impacts will be proposed after analyzing existing studies, and the methods representing each environmental load as monetary value will be presented. The methods presented in this study will present benefits that can be obtained through green buildings with a clear quantitative assessment on structures. Ultimately, it is expected that if the effects of green buildings are clearly presented through the findings of this study, the greening of structures will be actively expanded.

  • This work presents an exposition of both the internal structure of derived category of an abelian category D*(𝓐) and its contribution in solving problems, particularly in algebraic geometry. Calculation of some morphisms will be presented between objects in D*(𝓐) as elements in appropriate cohomology groups along with their compositions with the help of Yoneda construction under the assumption that the homological dimension of D*(𝓐) is greater than or equal to 2. These computational settings will then be considered under sheaf cohomological context with a particular case from projective geometry.

  • With a view to analyzing the influential factors and their prioritization in association with the loss from construction disasters, this study has presented relative weighted value and importance for each category of loss by making a systematic classification of costs for non-insured categories (indirect costs) and conducting AHP analysis based on results of a survey of specialists. Through the study, first, I have divided the larger classification of loss factors into human loss factor, financial loss factor, special cost factor, and managerial loss factor, and, second, have presented prioritization of loss categories by allotting scores based on weighted values after calculating weighted value through pairwise comparison of loss levels. Based on these results of the study, we should be able to qualitatively calculate the loss costs that construction disasters inflict on business, promote rational decision-making and efficiency in spending related to a disaster, and compare it against safety investment designed to reduce disaster loss from the perspective of business strategy.

  • This paper implements an automatic Korean word-spacing system based on word-recognition using morpheme unigrams and the pattern that the categories of those morpheme unigrams share within a candidate word. Although previous work on Korean word-spacing models has produced the advantages of easy construction and time efficiency, there still remain problems, such as data sparseness and critical memory size, which arise from the morpho-typological characteristics of Korean. In order to cope with both problems, our implementation uses the stochastic information of morpheme unigrams, and their category patterns, instead of word unigrams. A word's probability in a sentence is obtained based on morpheme probability and the weight for the morpheme's category within the category pattern of the candidate word. The category weights are trained so as to minimize the error means between the observed probabilities of words and those estimated by words' individual-morphemes' probabilities weighted according to their categories' powers in a given word's category pattern.

  • Performing a survey on the employers of S company that have built an EIP and used it effectively, we examined the priority of success factors that are considered as important ones by managers, general users, and system administrators. Then, we examined whether the priorities are different among the users of EIP according to the job, position, and period of use. Further, we looked into how the past and present EIP system of S company implemented the factors that took the first and the second places in priority for each of the four categories; the category of factors considered at the in of determining whether to build the system, the category of system functions provided in general, the category of functions provided with high priority when the system is used after the building, md the category of factors that make effective use of the system once it is built.

  • This paper shows a reinforced construction scheme of training data for improvement of text classification by automatic search of boundary category. The documents laid on boundary area are usually misclassified as they are including multiple topics and features. which is the main factor that we focus on. In this paper, we propose an automated exploring methodology of optimal boundary category based on previous research. We consider the boundary area among target categories to new category to be required training, which are then added to the target category sementically. In experiments, we applied our method to complex documents by intentionally making errors in training process. The experimental results show that our system has high accuracy and reliability in noisy environment.
