Evaluation of Ct-parameter for Weld Interface Crack Considering Material Plastic Behavior (재료의 소성 거동을 고려한 용접 계면균열의 Ct 매개변수)

  • In this study, behavior of $C_t$ which is a well-known fracture parameter characterizing creep crack growth rate, is investigated for weld interface cracks. Finite element analyses were per formed for a C(T) specimen under constant loading condition for elastic-plastic-creeping materials. In modeling C(T) geometry, an interface was employed along the crack plane which simulated the interface between weld and base metals. The $C_t$ versus time relations were obtained under various creep constant combinations and plastic constant combinations for weld and base metals, respectively. A unified $C_t$ versus time curve is obtained by normalizing $C_t$ with $C^*$ and t with $t_T$ for all the cases of material constant variations.

  • It is proposed a new compensation method in the rotor time constant of indirect vector controlled induction motor. The proposed scheme is an on-line method using the stator current error that is the difference between current command and estimated current calculated from terminal voltages and currents. As the current error becomes to zero, the rotor time constant in the vector controller approaches the real value. The proposed method shows good performances in the transient region as well as in the steady state region regardless of load torque variation, and it is verified by the computer simulation using SIMULINK in Matlab.

  • Consider a natural model for stochastic flow systems is Brownian motion, which is Brownian motion on the positive real line with constant drift and constant diffusion coefficient, modified by an impenetrable reflecting barrier at $x_{0}$. In this paper, we investigate the joint distribution functions and study on the distribution of the first-passage time. Also we find out the distribution of ${\mu}-RBMPx_{0}$.

  • In this paper we proposed AC/DC boost converter to improve input current harmonic reduction in TIG welder. The proposed harmonic reduction circuit with UC2854AN acting on constant switching frequency average current control has a three-loop control structure : the inner current loop the line voltage feed-forward loop and th outer voltage loop. Also we applied the constant current strategy on full bridge IGBT inverter to stabilized the output current using the analog PI controller. To demonstrate the practical significance of the proposed methods some simulation studies and experimental results are presented.

  • In this paper, recursive least square algorithm is presented to estimate the parameters of step motor under low-speed operation. Parameter estimation is important for compensating the input current by calculating the ratio of the motor torque constant and detent torque constant that causes torque-ripple in low-speed applications. On-line parameter estimation process is a preliminary procedure to apply step motor to adaptive control. Computer simulation shows that the estimated parameters converge in finite time.

  • There are two important variables in machining process control, which are feed and cutting speed. It is possible to improve the machining accuracy and the productivity by maintaining the optimal feed and cutting speed. IN this work, a controller is designed to achieve on-line cutting force control based on the modeling of cutting process dynamics established through step response test. Two schemes are proposed and implemented. The first is feed control under the constant spindle speed and the second is spindle speed control under the constant feed. Finally, both are proved to work properly through simulation and experimentation.

  • Recently, the microprocessor with network function based control system instead of conventional microprocessor is widely used for industrial applications, and also these technologies are widely adopted for train control and monitoring in modem rapid transit system. The purpose of this paper is to propose a criteria for data transmission, which was designed and realized through Korea High Speed Train. Noise, distortion and attenuation are always present in data transmission system and strictly limit performance. This paper describes a method to calculate the propagation constant, attenuation constant, phase velocity and length of stub.

  • The constant voltage transformer(CVT) is a voltage regulator that has a high reliability, a good short circuit characteristic, a high input power factor, and a relative immunity to lightning strike. Moreover, this has a good line regulation without a voltage feedback control. In this paper, the characteristics of CVT for the changes of input voltage and other circuit parameters are investigated.

Elongation of Contact Length on the Line of Action in Roll Forming of Gears

  • The elongation of contact length on the line of action is considered with particular reference for roll forming of gears, and for dynamic behavior of the tooth in meshing. However there is no paper that discuss the elongation of contact length in the load meshing of gears. Based on our investigation, the contact length on the line of action elongates more than the kinematically calculated value. In rolling, as the tool approaches the workpiece, the center distance of the gears decreases by a small amount. But, the elongation of contact length is sensitive. Therefore, the contact point on the line of action is difficult to be determined, which complicates the tooth analysis. In this study, the exact relation between the elongation of contact length and the tooth space over the recess or before the approach are revealed by experiments and kinematic theory. This analytical result applies not only for rolling, but also for the single flank meshing which is done under constant center distance.

  • This paper deals with tIne interface error in the on-line computer systems by using the FSK radio communications. The wideband frequency shrift keying method is used for briary data transmission between the remote terminals and the main computer. To mintmize the error rate In the decoder systems of the main computer, a synchronizing pulse is added to the frame, so that the phase In both receiver and transmitter are synchronized. When the information signal with a constant error bit is received through FSK, It is designed to use the microprocessor for calculation of error bit. As results, most bit error are caused in FSK radio communications. and a few error bit Is me - asured to enter the mirroprocessor from the input buffer.
