  • Science in the 21st century does not consider participants' welfare, safety and human rights in clinical studies, but modern science puts economic profits in its priority. This leads to a growing concern about social responsibility and professionalism ethics of companies, sponsors and scientists. Specifically, there is no way to control conflicts of participants' welfare with economic profits, leading to simply relying on individual ethics, social responsibilities and audit. This paper helps relevant agencies and people involved understand conflict of interest. Also this study presents the guidelines as well as independence, autonomy, ethical imagination and phronesis required for scientists.

  • This study investigated the relationships among individual factors, family factors, peer relationships and the internalizing and externalizing behaviors of adolescents. The data were obtained from a sample of 417 7th and 8th grade students. These data were collected with questionnaires and analyzed by using a t-test, Pearson's correlation, and a multiple regression analysis with SPSS ver. 18.0. The results can be summarized as follows. There is a significant difference in an adolescent's self-control, their father's rejective rearing, peer pressure, and the peer relationship between boys and girls. The results showed that boys had higher self-esteem and father's rejective rearing than girls. On the other hand, girls had higher peer pressure and more intimate peer relationships than boys. The results revealed that the 7th grade students had higher self-esteem and mother's warmth rearing than the 8th graders. Furthermore, the 8th grade students showed higher shame, mother's rejective rearing, marital conflict, internalizing behavior, and externalizing behavior than the 7th graders. The internalizing behavior in boys was influenced by shame, marital conflict, and peer pressure. In the case of girls, the internalizing behavior was affected by shame, mother's warmth rearing, and peer pressure. The externalizing behavior in boys was influenced by self-control and shame. In the case of girls, the externalizing behavior was affected by self-control, shame, marital conflict, and peer pressure. Adolescents who exhibited higher levels of shame than others and higher peer pressure showed internalizing problem behaviors. Adolescents who had less self-control and more shame, experienced more externalizing behavior problems.

  • This study aimed to identify the effects of infection control nurses' role conflict and job satisfaction on their turnover intention. Data were collected from 122 infection control nurses in January 2019. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, independent t-test, One-way ANOVA, Scheffé test, Pearson's correlation, and Multiple regression in SPSS/WIN 23.0. Participants' turnover intention was positively correlated with their role conflict (r=.46, p<.001), and negatively with job satisfaction r=-.21, p=.021). The role conflict (β=.43, p=.003), level of education (β=.29, p=.040), and job satisfaction (β=-.20, p=.013) was a significant predictor of the turnover intention (R2=.27). Therefore, it will have to be accompanied by institutional efforts to minimize role conflicts and improve job satisfaction. In addition, differentiated turnover strategies based on academic level should be developed.

  • Governance can be defined as a concept that encompasses a series of processes including partner selection as well as control and coordination of collaboration to achieve common goals. The study examined efforts to mitigate the risks of opportunistic behaviors into partner selection, partner relationship, control mechanism, and conflict management. For cases that have achieved commercialization outputs with the participation of SMEs, data was collected and analyzed such as interviews with project managers and case records for seven months from October 2016. According to the analysis result, as the complexity increases, such as multilateral cooperation for the development of finished products, cooperation with a trusted partner rather than a partner who can perform a task well was preferred, and the process control was put ahead of the output control. Regarding the partner relationship, the relationship between the owner and the agent differed according to the point of view, and there was a lack of clear allocation of authority and responsibility as well as a reward for the result. In terms of the conflict management, most emphasis was on resolving conflicts or difficulties, and no attempt was made to utilize the positive aspects of the conflict. The structure of most industry-university-institute cooperation organizations is simply composed of the host and participating organizations, and the management regulations should be amended for companies, that put actual funds and use the outputs, to have the authority and responsibility as the owners, and be allowed to use the governance elements appropriately to take the lead as consumers.

  • In the field of access control, policy conflicts must be solved and various related solutions are being researched and developed. In order to resolve the policy conflict problem, it is necessary to first identify the cause of the conflict, and as a minimum condition, it is necessary to detect the contextual elements of the policy that have influenced the policy evaluation decision. Although the XACML policy language specification provides a way to define this, the policy creator currently has limitations in not clearly describing the causes of conflicts in every contextual elements. In addition, in order to identify the causes of the policy conflict, it is necessary to acquire additional information such as other policy combination algorithms, in addition to these contextual factors. In this paper, we propose an effective method to identify contextual factors, as well as to locate additional information that cause policy conflicts.

  • The spread of wireless Internet technology development and applications with location information in the form of location-based services are more varied. In particular, where you recognize the location of objects such as people and things, and to provide valuable services based on ubiquitous, location-based services (Ubiquitous Location Based Services: u-LBS) is emerging as an important service. In this paper precise location data to the car crash through the location and offers related service system. In this paper the precise location tracking proposed by the concept of the Rail, road, to extract the location Data Matching Data and the current location is obtained. System used in GPS Packet and information about the location of the vehicle collision and the collision time, the vehicle consists of NodeID is about. Using these data, a packet is to be created when the conflict between vehicles in the vehicle will be sent to Gateway. Gateway to the packets that were sent from the Server to determine whether the conflict is that in an emergency situation, Emergency Center for location information and let me know whether or not the conflict will be measured. Also, for those on the outside of an emergency such as a family related to the wireless terminal wireless (PDA, cell phone) is to let me know. Server get into the conflict that was configured to store information on the Database. Additionally, the proposed u-LBS system to verify the validity of the experiment was performed.

  • Most of the main memory database systems use two-phase locking(2PL)for concurrency control. The 2PL method is preferred over other methods for concurrency control because of its simplicity and common usage. However, conventional concurrency control solution will function poorly when the data are memory resident. In this paper, we propose a new optimistic concurrency control protocol for a main memory database system. In our proposed protocol, transaction conflict information is used in validation phase to improve data conflict resolution decisions. Our experiments show that the proposed protocol performs better than 2PL in terms of throughput for main memory database system enshrinements.

  • This study presents the Family FIRO model for stepfamily development. The Family FIRO model conceptualizes interactional patterns in stepfamily for dealing with developmental tasks and suggests a method for organizing assessment and for prioritizing treatment strategies. Boundary ambiguity role confusion intergenerational coalition and loyalty conflict lack of relationship commitment and resource management issues of stepfamily constitute the inclusion interaction dimension in The Family FIRO model. While power role negotiation conflict decision making and discipline issues represent the control interaction dimension lack of emotional exchange and open self-disclosure issues are intimacy interaction dimension in the stepfamily. The family FIRO model suggests that stepfamily should attend to the developmental tasks related to inclusion before placing a major emphasis on control issues which in turn should come before emphasis on stepfamily intimacy.
