Purpose: The study was aimed to suggest a model re-entry program into the job market for inactive registered nurses, based on the development and management of a program and the evaluation of its efficiency. Method: The participants in the program were 82 inactive nurses and the development and evaluation of the program followed ADDIE. To develop the program, general characteristics and demand on re-entry into the job market were investigated. Satisfaction level of the program and confidence in nursing practice were measured to evaluate it. Result: Participants were 45 years old, had 6 years' clinical experience, and had 14 inactive career years on average. The program included basic and core education courses, and a clinical course. The participants were satisfied with its management, and 80.3 percent of them agreed with the need for the program. Also, clinical sites and instructors in the clinical course were satisfactory. Participants gained high confidence in nursing practice skills. Conclusion: The study showed the goal of the program was accomplished by motivating inactive nurses for re-entry to the work force and enhancing capability in duty. The program needs standardizing, and field adaptability should be strengthened through clinical practice. An evaluation tool for the program has to be developed.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze current status of the web-sites dealing with oriental obstetrics & gynecology in the internet, and to evaluate their quality and confidence of health information. Methods: It was selected 54 local sites by searching for such key words as menstrual pain. The evaluation tool consisted of six major classification (Content, Authorship, Purpose, Functionality, Feedback and Privacy). Results: In the evaluation of web-sites, the lowest and the highest scores were 7 and 19 out of 26, and the average score was 13.94. The scores of Purpose, Content, Feedback were higher than the average, but the scores of Authorship, Functionality, Privacy were lower than the average. Conclusion: There is a need to develop a high-quality information about latest, confidence, authorship of documents, and to prevent a exposure of privacy.
Purpose: To explore the feasibility of maximum diameter as a response assessment method for vestibular schwannomas (VS) after stereotactic radiosurgery or fractionated stereotactic radiotherapy (RT), we analyzed the concordance of RT responses between maximum diameters and volumetric measurements. Materials and Methods: Forty-two patients receiving curative stereotactic radiosurgery or fractionated stereotactic RT for VS were analyzed retrospectively. Twelve patients were excluded: 4 did not receive follow-up magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans and 8 had initial MRI scans with a slice thickness >3 mm. The maximum diameter, tumor volume (TV), and enhanced tumor volume (ETV) were measured in each MRI study. The percent change after RT was evaluated according to the measurement methods and their concordances were calculated with the Pearson correlation. The response classifications were determined by the assessment modalities, and their agreement was analyzed with Cohen kappa statistics. Results: Median follow-up was 31.0 months (range, 3.5 to 86.5 months), and 90 follow-up MRI studies were analyzed. The percent change of maximum diameter correlated strongly with TV and ETV (r(p) = 0.85, 0.63, p = 0.000, respectively). Concordance of responses between the Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors (RECIST) using the maximum diameters and either TV or ETV were moderate (kappa = 0.58; 95% confidence interval, 0.32-0.85) or fair (kappa = 0.32; 95% confidence interval, 0.05-0.59), respectively. Conclusions: The percent changes in maximum diameter and the responses in RECIST were significantly concordant with those in the volumetric measurements. Therefore, the maximum diameters can be used for the response evaluation of VS following stereotactic RT.

Objective: In this study, the test-retest reliability and validity were presented to evaluate the usability of isokinetic rehabilitation equipment for the knee joint. Design: Cross-sectional design, reliability & validity study. Methods: Thirty healthy adults participated in the study. A CSMI dynamometer was used as a standardized measuring device to present the validity of the equipment. It was measured based on the dominant leg. The average peak torque value was selected as the measurement variable. After the measurement, a questionnaire was conducted on safety, satisfaction, and performance through the usability evaluation questionnaire. Results: The knee joint isokinetic rehabilitation equipment showed high reliability with Intraclass Correlations Coefficients (ICC) =0.883~0.956. In order to check the validity of the equipment, the 95% confidence interval of the mean difference limit was confirmed by the Bland & Altman plot. As a result, all three angular velocities showed a smaller confidence interval in the flexion than in extension. There were less than 10 plots that were not included in 2 Standard Deviation (SD) between all measurements. As a result of the usability evaluation questionnaire, the average of the safety domain(4.9±0.4), satisfaction domain(4.1±0.8), performance domain(4.3±0.8). Conclusions: If the product is improved by supplementing the items identified in the usability evaluation process, it is judged that it can be used as a useful device in various knee joint rehabilitation fields.

Evaluating product quality level is necessary before the manufactured items are delivered to the customer. When the amount of the items to be manufactured is limited and the product is of high price and should be evaluated by destructive testing, the number of samples to be tested should be as small as possible. This paper presents a small-sample inspection method using hyper-geometric distribution and Bayesian approach for finite small-sized population. A method of determining the minimum sample size is presented for given population size, allowable number of defectives, warranteed defective level, and confidence level which is the degree of confidence on the product quality level recognized by both the producer and the customer.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the education retention effect of endotracheal and laryngeal tube intubation using a manikin study. Methods: The study consisted of measuring intubation time, intubation success rate, and confidence of intubation after education. The evaluation of the education was performed 2 weeks, 4 weeks, and 24 weeks after education and skill tests. The study subjects were 48 paramedic students of third and fourth grade. Results: There was no significant difference in endotracheal intubation time but the time spent performing laryngeal tube intubation significantly increased over time (p<.000). The intubation success rate of endotracheal and laryngeal tube intubation was 100% in the $24^{th}$ week, and there was no significant difference in time spent performing the intubation. The students' confidence in endotracheal (p<.023) and laryngeal tube intubation (p<.001) decreased significantly from the second week to the $24^{th}$ week. Conclusion: This study revealed that it is necessary to spend at least 24 weeks to train students endotracheal and laryngeal intubation to improve the students' confidence in performance of intubation.
The purpose of this study was to find out the general characteristics of school health teachers, the status of school health resources and the degrees of self-confident performance for the 124 school health teachers in Pusan City. Data was collected by means of questionaires from Aug. 1986 to Mar. 1987. The data were analyzed by use of percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA and Pearson-correlation coefficient. The results of this study were as follows: 1 . General Characteristics of School Health Teachers (SHT) 1) The average of age of the SHT was 32.8 years old and 39.5% of them were from 30 to 34 years old. 2) The average for school nursing experience of the SHT was 7.9 years and 37.9% of them were from 5 to 9 years. 3) The 45.2% of them have not the clinical experience. 4) The 74.2% of them were graduated from the 3 years college of nursing. 2. Status of school health resources and nursing activities. 1) The average of student number was 2497.3 and class number was 45.2. 2) The average of school health budget was 1039000 won and 27.7% of school health budget expended on examination cost. 3) Only 29.0% of all schools have organization for school health. 4) The 84.7% of all schools have health clinic separately and 69.1% of schools have less than $33m^2$ sized. 5) The average of clinic visitor number was 2111.8 for 1 year. 6) Major problem was on digestive system. And other problems were skin, respiratory, musculo-skeletal system and dental problem. 7) The number of literal message was 14.4 times for 1 year. 3. The degree of the school health teachers' self-confidence. The purpose of this study is to identify the expectation of vocational abilities and the level of the existing abilities of the door-to-door saleswomen in the cosmetic industry, in order to provide baseline information that can be used to improve sales ability. The data were collected from 1,168 respondents to a questionnaire. Major findings were as follows: 1. The most commonly expected aptitude for the door-to-door salesperson was the ability 'to gain the confidence from customers'. The other important aptitudes were 'good attitudes', 'product information' and 'pleasant personality and patience'. 2. The overall level of the abilities according to their self-evaluation when compared with the level of expected abilities was 64.9 %. The item that received the lowest self-evaluation was 'ability in developing new market and audience'. 3. Vocational ability expectation was affected most strongly by education level. The variables that affected self-evaluation were career paths, education level, income, sales volume and position.

This study, centering on public enterprises, has been conducted from 4 different perspectives such as grasping the effects that the factor precedent of the multi-rater feedback affects on the usefulness of evaluation and the effects that the usefulness of evaluation affects on the organizational achievement, checking on whether there is any discrepancy among the effects affecting on the usefulness of evaluation in accordance with the degree of advance training on the evaluation system, and being what kind of effects the usefulness of valuation
that the appraised eventually understand affects on the organizational achievement. As result of the study, the factor precedent that are confidence of the appraisers and the support from CEO reasonably affected on the usefulness of evaluation, but the standard referred to evaluation was not reasonable. It became resultantly clear that the confidence of the appraisers held the effect of control from the verification of whether there is the effect of control between the factor precedent and the usefulness of evaluation in accordance with the degree of advance training. However, it turned out that the standard referred to evaluation and the support from CEO held no effect of control. As result, It was possible to confirm that the usefulness of evaluation in this study affects directly or indirectly to the organizational achievement such as organizational immersion, job satisfaction, self development opportunity, and organizational revitalization as influenced by the prior factors, and the advance training was partially effective on the adjusting effect.
Multilayer feedforward networks may be applied to identify the deterministic relationship between input and output data. When the results from the network require a high level of assurance, considering of the stochastic relationship between the data may be very important. The variance is one of the useful parameters to represent the stochastic relationship. This paper presents a new algorithm for a multilayer feedforward network to learn the variance of dispersed data without preliminary calculation of variance. In this paper, the network with this learning algorithm is named as a variance learning neural network(VALEAN). Computer simulation examples are utilized for the demonstration and the evaluation of VALEAN.
