Gel polymer electrolytes were prepared by immersing a porous poly(vinylidene fluoride-co-hexafluoropropylene) membrane in an electrolyte solution containing small amounts of polymerizable additive (3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene, thiophene, biphenyl). The organic additives were electrochemically oxidized to form conductive polymer films on the electrode at high potential. With the gel polymer electrolytes containing different organic additive, lithium-ion polymer cells composed of carbon anode and LiCo$O_2$ cathode were assembled and their cycling performances were evaluated. Adding small amounts of thiophene or 3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene to the gel polymer electrolyte was found to reduce the charge transfer resistance in the cell and it thus exhibited less capacity fading and better high rate performance.

Conductive polymer composites with high electrical and mechanical properties are in demand for bipolar plates of phosphoric acid fuel cells (PAFC). In this study, composites based on natural graphite/fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP) and different ratios of carbon black are mixed and hot formed into bars. The overall content of natural graphite is replaced by carbon black (0.2 wt% to 3.0 wt%). It is found that the addition of carbon black reduces electrical resistivity and density. The density of composite materials added with carbon black 3.0 wt% is 2.168 g/㎤, which is 0.017 g/㎤ less than that of non-additive composites. In-plane electrical resistivity is 7.68 μΩm and through-plane electrical resistivity is 27.66 μΩm. Compared with non-additive composites, in-plane electrical resistivity decreases by 95.7 % and through-plane decreases by 95.9 %. Also, the bending strength is about 30 % improved when carbon black is added at 2.0 wt% compared to non-additive cases. The decrease of electrical resistivity of composites is estimated to stem from the carbon black, which is a conductive material located between melted FEP and acts a path for electrons; the increasing mechanical properties are estimated to result from carbon black filling up pores in the composites.
A GDS (Geomagnetic Depth Sounding) method, one of extremely low-frequency EM methods, has been carried out to examine deep geo-electrical structures of the Korean peninsula. In this study, five additive GDS sites acquired in south-eastern area of the Korea were integrated into twelve previous GDS results. In addition, 3-D MT modeling considering the surrounding seas of the Korean peninsula was performed to evaluate sea effect at each GDS site quantitatively. As a result, Observed real induction arrows was not explained by solely sea effect, two conductive structures that are able to explain differences between observed and calculated induction arrows, was suggested. The first conductive structure is the Imjingang Belt, which is thought as a extension of Quiling-Dabie-sulu continental collision belt. The effects of the Imjingang Belt clearly appear at YIN and ICHN sites. The second one is the HCL (Highly Conductive Layer), which is considered as a conductive anomaly by mantle upwelling generated in back-basin region. The effects of the HCL are also confirmed at KZU, KMT101, 107 sites, in the south-eastern of the Korean peninsula.
Al/expanded graphite was successfully synthesized through a facile method including ultrasonic and heat treatment. In the well-designed three dimensional structure, expanded graphite(EG) works as a conductive matrix to support coated Al particles. The effects of the fabrication parameters on the microstructures and thermal conductivities of these composites were investigated. As a result, it was found that composites with graphite volume fraction of 17.4-69.4 % sintered at $600^{\circ}C$/45MPa exhibit in-plane thermal conductivities of 380-940 W/mK, over 90 % of the predictions by rule of mixture. According to the non-destructive analysis results, the synergistic enhancement was caused by the formation of efficient thermally conductive pathways due to the hybrid of the differently sized EG. The structure integrates the advantages of expanded graphite as a conductive support, preserving the electrode activity and integrity and improving the electrochemical performance.
The LDS(Laser Direct Structuring) process uses thermoplastic polymers with a additive compound that serves as plating seed after the activation by laser. It can realize industry requirement such as miniaturization of electrical component, design flexibility and reduction of production steps. The purpose of this study is to introduce LDS, and to investigate the fundamental mechanism. Also the characteristics of conductive patterns were investigated with respect to laser fluence and intensity. We have used a pulsed fiber laser (wavelength : 1064nm) and copper electroless plating to fabricate conductive patterns. The result showed that laser induced metal-organic complex was caused metalization by electroless copper plating, the critical laser fluence was $1.41\;J/cm^2$ at a scan speed of 1 m/s.
The grouting method is a method of construction for the purpose of waterproofing and reinforcing soft ground. When grout is injected into the ground, there are various types of penetration and diffusion of grout depending on the shape of the ground, the size of soil, the porosity, and the presence or absence of groundwater. the current situation. Therefore, in this study, to investigate the penetration performance of the grouting to conductive material, laboratory tests were performed on the addition of the conductive material. In the injection test, 0%, 3%, and 5% of the mixed water were added as conductive materials to the grout, and the original ground condition was composed of various types of ground composed of gravel and silica sand. Conductive grout is injected by pressure into the model ground using a dedicated injection device, and the injection time (t), pressure (p), flow rate (v) and injection amount (q) are measured, and the hardened body injected in the model ground is collected. Penetration performance was evaluated. In the results of the grout injection experiment, the amount of conductive material used and the grout injection rate showed an inverse relationship, and it was confirmed that the penetration pattern was changed according to the size of the soil particles in the model ground. The grout containing the conductive material has relatively good penetration into the ground and excellent strength and durability of the hardened body, so it was judged that it could be used as an additive for measuring the penetration range of the grout.

The effect of a conductive agent on the structural and electrochemical properties of $Li_4Ti_5O_{12}$(LTO) spinel was investigated through neutron diffraction during Li intercalation and electrochemical measurements. The charging process of LTO is known as transformation of the white $(Li_3)_{8a}[LiTi_5]_{16d}O_{12}$ into a dark-colored $(Li_{3-X})_{8a}[Li_{X+Y}]_{16c}[LiTi_5]_{16d}O_{12}$ by incorporating the inserted Li into octahedral 16c sites, and the Li in tetrahedral 8a sites shifted to 16c sites. The occupancy of the tetrahedral 8a site varied with the existence of carbon in the electrode. Without carbon, the lattice parameter and cell volume of LTO decreased more notably than in the carbon-containing LTO electrode during Li insertion process. These phenomena might be attributed that the Li occupancy of the tetrahedral 8a of the LTO electrode without carbon was less than that of the carbon-containing LTO electrode.
The supercritical $CO_2$ (sc-$CO_2$) mixture and the sc-$CO_2$-based Photoresist(PR) stripping(SCPS) process were applied to the removal of the post etch/ash PR residue on aluminum patterned wafers and the results were observed by scanning of electron microscope(SEM). In the case of MDII wafers, the carbonized PR was able to be effectively removed without pre-stripping by oxygen plasma ashing by using sc-$CO_2$ mixture containing the optimum formulated additives at the proper pressure and temperature, and the same result was also able to be obtained in the case of HDII wafer. It was found that the efficiency of SCPS of ion implanted wafer improved as the temperature of SCPS was high, so a very large amount of MEA in the sc-$CO_2$ mixture could be reduced if the temperature could be increased at condition that a process permits, and the ion implanted photoresist(IIP) on the wafer was able to be removed completely without pre-treatment of plasma ashing by using the only 1 step SCPS process. By using SCPS process, PR polymers formed on sidewalls of metal conductive layers such as aluminum films, titanium and titanium nitride films by dry etching and ashing processes were removed effectively with the minimization of the corrosion of the metal conductive layers.

All-solid-state lithium batteries (ASSBs) using inorganic sulfide-based solid electrolytes are considered prospective alternatives to existing liquid electrolyte-based batteries owing to benefits such as non-flammability. However, it is difficult to form a favorable solid-solid interface among electrode constituents because all the constituents are solid particles. It is important to form an effective electron conduction network in composite cathode while increasing utilization of active materials and not blocking the lithium ion path, resulting in excellent cell performance. In this study, a mixture of fibrous VGCF and spherical nano-sized Super P was used to improve rate performance by fabricating valid conduction paths in composite cathodes. Then, composite cathodes of ASSBs containing 70% and 80% active materials ($LiNi_{0.6}Co_{0.2}Mn_{0.2}O_2$) were prepared by a solution-based process to achieve uniform dispersion of the electrode components in the slurry. We investigated the influence of binary carbon additives in the cathode of all-solid-state batteries to improve rate performance by constructing an effective electron conduction network.

In this paper, the performances of the electrical characteristics of the Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) 3D-printed flexible resistance sensor was evaluated. The FDM 3D printing flexible resistive sensor is composed of flexible-material thermoplastic polyurethane and a conductive PLA (carbon black conductive polylactic acid) polymer. While 3D printing, polymer filaments heat up quickly before being extruded and cooled down quickly. Polymers have poor thermal conductivity so the heating and cooling causes unevenness, which then results in internal stress on the printed parts due to the rapidity of the heating and cooling. Electrical resistance measurements show that the 3D-printed flexible sensor is unstable due to internal stress, so the 3D-printed flexible sensor resistance curve does not match the increases and decreases in the displacement curve. Therefore, annealing was performed to eliminate the mismatch between electrical resistance and displacement. Annealing eliminates residual stress on the sensor, so the electrical resistance of the sensor increases and decreases in proportion to displacement. Additionally, the resistance is lowered in comparison to before annealing. The results of this study will be very useful for the fabrication of various devices that employ 3D-printed flexible sensor that have multiple degrees of freedom and are not limited by size and shape.
