  • Newly, the fourth industrial revolution is a way of describing the blurring of boundaries between the physical, digital, and biological worlds. It's a fusion of advances in AI (artificial intelligence), robotics, the IoT (Internet of Things), 3d printing, genetic engineering, quantum computing, and other technologies. At the world economic forum in Davos, switzerland, in january 2016, chairman professor klaus schwab proposed the fourth industrial revolution for the first time. In order to apply the AHP (analytic hierarchy process) analysis method, the first stage factors were designed as Natural, Water, Earth and Atom energy. In addition, the second stage factors were organized into 9 detailed energies presented in the conceptual model. Thus, we present the theoretical and practical implications of these results.

  • The conceptual design evaluation of Deep-Sea Manganese Nodule Miner(DSNM) based on Axiomatic Design was preformed. Functional Requirements(FRs) in functional domain and Design Parameters(DPs) in physical domain were embodied for the given concept design of DSNM. Interactions between FRs and DPs were sequentially analyzed from the first level hierarchy to the lower level hierarchy. The interactions were expressed as design matrices which showed the dependence or independence between FRs and DPs. The results showed that the design of DSNM was not a coupled one, but a decoupled. Finally, it was conceptually verified that DSNM was a good design satisfying the independence axiom of the Axiomatic Design.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the difficulties of teachers and students on the unit about 'measuring weight.' In this research, we have acquired data about teachers through survey, interview, and self-reflection journals, at the same time we have collected information on the students through survey, assessment test, and interview. We have extracted the difficulties from analysis with constant comparison method. In addition, we have analysed the curriculum of science and mathematics to know the leaning sequence. The analysis had been checked up by experts in science education. The result of the study is as follows: The difficulties of teachers are from the lack of teachers' descriptive knowledge, disorder of conceptual hierarchy in the curriculum, poor experimental instruments, and low psychomotor skill of students. The difficulties of students are from common misconceptions, opaque concepts, lack of manipulation skill, insufficiency of mathematical ability, difficulty of application of principles to the real situation, and lack of problem-solving ability. In addition, teachers have recognized that students face more difficulties in experiment class, while students think that they face more difficulties in conceptual understanding class.

  • It has not been a long time since a comparative advertising was emphasized in the advertising industry and academics. The issue is whether comparative advertising is more effective than noncomparative advertising, and if it is true, then under what conditions it is more effective. Based upon previous research results and expertises' opinions, the authors try to figure out the hierarchy of comparative advertising effect and its determinants. The objective of this exploratory study is to develop a conceptual model on comparative advertising effect and research propositions. This model would provide us with broader understanding on comparative advertising, practical guidelines for comparative advertisement production, and foundations of developing more detailed model on comparative advertising effectiveness.

  • First: The common points from "syllabus" period to that of "Course of study" are as follows: 1) with no introduction explained. the "Syllabus" or "Course of study" was made to be completed in accordance with the allotment of time (unit). 2) To teach how to rear animals and grow plants, and to make specimens with collected samples formed a great significant field of learning, which meant giving more emphasis on learning classification, life-centered education and basic field of learning than discipline-centered education. 3) The reason why the field of applied biology was emphasized on was that both periods had ideals in Common to educate persons more necessary and useful to the society than to major the pure academic field. 4) Both periods mainly dealt with problems of diseases, and physical health discussed all over the world in 1950's which accounts for necessity of the society to free from ignorance. Second; "The first curriculum period" and "the second one" are observed as follows: 1) The former took the unit (credit) system for the first time. It tried to lay down the conceptual hierarchy with "Biology I" and "II" divided, while "Biolgy I" is better systematized than "Biology II". 2) Discipline-centered education and structure fo knowledge are put more emphasis on especially in "the 2nd curriculum period". 3) And also in this period are included serious problems such as urgency of pollution, importance of nature conservation, population due to the development of industry. 'Third; With the recent curriculum laid down, experiments and teaching contents of subjects are put in harmony with each other and accordingly the process of Inquiry is laid emphasis on. Fourth; It is necessary to set up conceptual sequence and scope effectively in the curriculum.

  • The effect of red tide on the marine ecological system is so severe that many researches on the diverse subjects related to it have been conducted. Notwithstanding the enormous efforts and inputs the results of the past researches show no clear ways to deal with the HAB problems. As many researches are being conducted, the efficient and appropriate research project management systems as one of the critical factors for successful research are also needed as well as the fund and the capabilities of the researchers. It is assumed that the development of the evaluation and management systems for red tide research projects is so important and critical to enhance the researches and to utilize efficiently the physical and human resources for research. In this respect this study aims to present the evaluation and management scheme for the red tide researches that can not only decide the priority of the research subjects and tell the desirable research directions, but also support to develop the useful managerial policies and guidelines for the policy maker. The main subjects dealt with in this study are as follows : the characteristics of the HAB researches, the basic attributes and criterion of the research evaluation systems, the structure and design of the evaluation systems, and the development of the managerial policies by the type of the evaluation system. The conceptual scheme developed in this study is expected to be applied to the related areas and can suggest to the policy makers so many implications for identifying and setting the proper policy objects and management techniques. This study has a couple of weak points. It suggests only the conceptual scheme but not the applications so that the researches focusing on the applications in practical perspectives are needed to follow.

  • In the age of digital innovation based on the Internet, Information and Communication and Artificial Intelligence technologies, huge amounts of datasets are being generated, collected, accumulated, and opened on the web by various public institutions providing useful and public information. In order to analyse, gain useful insights and information from data, Formal Concept Analysis(FCA) has been successfully used for analyzing, classifying, clustering and visualizing data based on the binary relation between objects and attributes in the dataset. In this paper, we present an approach for enhancing the analysis of relational attributes of data within the extended framework of FCA, which is designed to classify, conceptualize and visualize sets of objects described not only by attributes but also by relations between these objects. By using the proposed tool, RCA wizard, several experiments carried out on some public open datasets demonstrate the validity and usability of our approach on generating and visualizing conceptual hierarchies for extracting more useful knowledge from datasets. The proposed approach can be used as an useful tool for effective data analysis, classifying, clustering, visualization and exploration.

  • In this paper, a simulation system based on X-Plane and MATLAB/Simulink for multiple UAVs is presented. For the conceptual design of this proposed system, a hierarchical system architecture for multiple UAVs is presented. This architecture has object-oriented data structure which consists of three objects (UAV status, mission and task, and environment) and a hierarchy consisting of four layers (decision making layer, task assignment layer, path and motion planning layer, and collision avoidance layer) is also proposed. In addition, this paper shows a implementation of simulation system based on the proposed system architecture using X-Plane and MATLAB/Simulink. The result of simulation from the developed system in this paper validate capability of application for multiple UAVs in real environment.

  • Purpose: The Emission Trading Scheme (ETS), which enables structuring emission credits as a financial product, is taking a crucial position of global collaboration against climate change. Previous studies that have covered ETS subjects from the macro perspective contribute to facilitating legal enactment of this scheme. However, they have rarely addressed challenges aligned with issues arising from labor burdens for ETS works from the business perspective. Research Design, data and methodology: This study presents conceptual models that are expected to help design an electronic system. The study model contains four modules: emission allocation, data interface, reduction technology sharing, and emission trading. Two validation approaches, the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and regression analysis, are applied in confirming the feasibility of the proposed model. Results: This study suggests an IT system methodology to help improvement of the current K-ETS mechanism. In particular, this study addresses effectiveness for real businesses and the adaptability of this mechanism to other nations. Conclusions: The proposed IT platform diagram can contribute to successful operation of ETS by providing multiple benefits to participating companies through in-house allocation mechanisms, the soft-landing of ETS adoption to participating companies through reduction of technology-sharing, group purchases, and transaction costs through the trading system.
