According to the computerization of railway signalling system, necessity of communication protocol for interface between these equipments is increasing. Therefore the research on communication protocol structure that is required according to computerization trend of these signalling goes. In our research the existed protocol currently used was analyzed, and the simulation modeling for performance analysis is deduced. Based on this simulation model the performance analysis and comparison is carried out, and also validation test is executed about new suggested protocol.

The conventional school affairs management, with an example of Korea Martitime University (KMU), is studied through the university codes and its internal regulations and the inevitable problems of the conventional school affairs are analyzed. From the view points of complexity of the educational structure and increase in educational population, the computerized school affairs management is increasingly requested. Therefore, in order to design and implement a computerized school affairs management system, a code-system suitable for the KMU is, first of all, constructed and then a data base which copes with various reforms or changes is developed by using the code system and the IMAGE/DMBS of a HP-9040AM computer. A FORTRAN example program shows that the designed data base can be easily transformed into on-line system and made good use of managing school affairs. Furthermore, it is recommended that the university authority organize a research team for designing the total system in future university administration and solving difficult problems occurring through the computerization.

The purpose of this study was to identify the degree to which nursing diagnoses accepted by NANDA are used and to identify problems in application of nursing diagnoses in clinical practice. With the expanding potential for computerization of nursing diagnosis, the survey also included data on the present status of hospital computerization and willingness to use computerized nursing diagnoses. The data collection was done from July 1 to August 3, 1996 using structured questionnaires. The questionnaires were mailed to 1,126 head nurses working in 44 hospitals with on occupacy of over 500 beds located in Korea, of these, 883 were returned from 40 hospitals. Among the 883 questionnaires, 867 were used for the analysis. The results of the analysis are as follows 1. Among 109 nursing diagnoses, pain, constipation, diarrhea, hyperthermia, high risk for infection, sleep pattern disturbance, and anxiety, chronic pain, altered urinary elimination, and altered nutrition : less than body requirements were the ten most frequently used diagnoses. 2. The primary problem in the use of nursing diagnoses was lack of time and personnel. Others were lack of knowledge and motivation, absence of protocols and absence of the appropriate methods to apply nursing diagnoses. 3. Among the 40 hospitals, 27 hospitals used a computerized system and expressed willingness to utilize the computerized system of nursing diagnoses that is planned for the future.

To support the second step of Land Information System building, we are studied about the way of image(included map, document) input, computerization way of cadastral map and the program development which can efficiently carry out the application and update of the constructed digital data. The final object of this study is in raising the efficiency of the cadastral-map computerization, building an accurate DB and its speedy, efficient application. Because the program which was developed in this study is designed to fit the Cadastral Affair Computerization, the integration of the each division's affaires is possible. Because of it, we can raise the specialization of the works and we can reduce time and cost to build Data Share System and cadastral digital data.

This study was conducted to develop a home care nursing management system based on the validated and useful data base found through literature review. The contents and structure according to a development procedure for a computer system were as follows. 1. A data base on home care nursing patients was accumulated by putting data respectively in both steps and fields - from selection criteria. basic information. prescription. plan of home visits. to application of nursing process. 2. Accumulated data was classified and designed to search by basic information. drug/injection prescription. examination prescription, treatment prescription. supply. and a record of the nursing process. 3. Various forms of retrieval including graphs were elaborated in terms of diagnosis and intervention aspects.

Computerization for the work of diagnostic radiology department is needed to manage the department efficiently, to deal with the information increasing gradually, and to provide qualified care for patients. There is few computerized management system for diagnostic radiology department in our country. Foreign systems were developed commercially and academically, but almost failed to meet the needs of demands. So in this paper, to help the exploitation of soft ware suitable for the information system of diagnostic radiology department of our country; 1) foreign systems were introduced. 2) Data flow of diagnositc radiology department was analysised by SSA method. 3) Composition of computer system centered on the functions of terminals was presented.

This thesis is to investigate the general characteristics of MIS and provides a definite data base for computerization of the division operations based on the analysis and design of personnel business. Therefore, through the analysis of DFD (Data Flow Diagram), DD (Data Dictionary) and SD (System Dictionary), for designing of system, and the analysis of the requirement information, the relationships of business and the process of operations, for the current status analysis of division business, the computerized alternatives corresponding to a choice of a piece of information system were decided. The priority of a developing operations was also determined. A point of view is not so much the study about the division operations so far. This paper will be very helpful and will be achieved through the computerization of MIS.

A various quality data are produced during nuclear fuel fabrication. In order to control quality data efficiently, Computerization of Quality Information System(QIS) using personal computer was established. Database control software and analysis software were developed for QIS. QIS was applied the fuel manufacturing and quality inspection. Quality trend analysis, process control, process capability and quality history docket for nuclear fuel manufacturing were performed by QIS. Through the Quality Information System, quality assurance, quality control, process control and manufacturing engineering were performed efficiently in nuclear fuel manufacturing.

Recently there has been attempts to develop hospital information system including order communicating system, patient tracing system, tumor registry system, office automation system and picture archiving and communication system(PACS). The authors devloped a practical system that was operated via order communication system of Yeungnam University Hospital. The system provided us the speed, accuracy, reliability, retention, economy and wide applicability through practical test. So we believed that this system would be one of standard computerized programs in radiation oncology practice and providing widely usable data for clinical statistics, medical record, tumor registry system and clinical researches.
