Design and implementation of wireless home network system using Home Network Control Protocol

  • This paper describes the design and implementation of a wireless home network system using Home Network Control Protocol (HNCP) called the wireless HNCP home network system. For wireless interfaces of HNCP, IEEE 802.11b and IEEE 802.15.4 standard protocols are considered. With the implementation of the wireless HNCP home network system, a simple analysis about coexistence between IEEE 802.11b and IEEE 802.15.4 is achieved. Through the implemented wireless HNCP home network system and the analytical results about the coexistence between both two different wireless protocols, the feasibility of the wireless HNCP home network system is shown.

  • The present so many systems are used by evolution of Program to expel DNC(Direct Numerical Control) Network Infra for many CNC Controller. However, these systems is an inefficiency side in case of mutual connection at a long distance between Server Computer and Machining center Also, the machining center have so many controversial points in data transmission-receiver from the NC data server. So, this thesis well constructed the remote control system from CNC(Computer Numerical Control) Controller to CAD/CAM Server Computer. This system have some kinds of merits. Firstly. the machining center's user can easily use the saved NC data transmission from the CAD/CAM Server Secondly, the remote control is possible without the mutual conversation between the CAD/CAM Server and the machining center.

  • The objective of this paper is to develop computer programs to aid in the design and analysis of control systems in which nonlinear characteristics exist. Control systems are dynamic systems, which can be described using various mathematical models. A convenient model for digital computer simulation is the state model in which described using a set of linear and non linear first order differential equations. The digital simulation was performed on a IBM PC/XT personal computer, and the computer language was BASIC. There are four possible configurations from which a user may choose. When running a program, the user is asked to enter the system parameters according to a specified control system configurations are; 1. A control system with a nonlinear element followed by a plant in a feedback configurations(NLSVF1). 2. A control system with a nonlinear device situated between two plants in a feedback configurations(NLSVF2). 3. A control system with a nonlinear element followed by a plant, followed by a the dealy in feedback configurations(TLAG). 4. A motor and load with a backlash nonlinearity between dynamic portions of the motor/load configurations (BACKLASH). The matrix from state equations are integrated using combination the trapezoidal method and fixed point iteration. Several cases which have nonlinearity were implemented on the computer and the results were discussed.

Power Control with Nearest Neighbor Nodes Distribution for Coexisting Wireless Body Area Network Based on Stochastic Geometry

  • The coexisting wireless body area networks (WBAN) is a very challenging issue because of strong inter-networks interference, which seriously affects energy consumption and spectrum utilization ratio. In this paper, we study a power control strategy with nearest neighbor nodes distribution for coexisting WBAN based on stochastic geometry. Using homogeneous Poisson point processes (PPP) model, the relationship between the transmission power and the networks distribution is analytically derived to reduce interference to other devices. The goal of this paper is to increase the transmission success probability and throughput through power control strategy. In addition, we evaluate the area spectral efficiency simultaneously active WBAN in the same channel. Finally, extensive simulations are conducted to evaluate the power control algorithm.

  • The frequency power control method (FCM) which has a wide operating frequency range is adopted for induction heating (IH) cooktops. When FCM is applied to the full-bridge series resonant converter (FB-SRC) based IH system, high-frequency switching of the inverter is required compared to the half-bridge SRC (HB-SRC)-based IH system. Therefore, the switching loss of the inverter increases, and applying FCM under the condition that the inverter operating frequency range is limited is difficult. Therefore, this paper proposes a control strategy with the phase shift power control method considering that limited frequency conditions are presented. Loss analysis following the control method is performed through simulation and mathematical analysis. In addition, the validity of the proposed control strategy is verified by analyzing the heating performance following the control method through the test results of the 3,200[W] prototype.

  • The development of automatic production systems has a trend toward Computer Integrated Manufacturing System(CIMS) in recent years. In hardware configuration, CIMS are composed of intelligent CAD/CAM work stations, multifunction CNC machining centers including material handling systems. The DNC systems present the key element of automation hierarchy in a FMS. A DNC system is one which connects a number of numerically-controlled machines to a common memory in a digital computer for part program storage with provision for on-demand distribution of part program data to machines using communication in hierarchical structure of central computer, control computer and cell controller. This paper describes the development of Behind-the-Tape-Reader(BTR) type DNC system using CYBER 180-830 as a central computer and IBM PC-386 cell control computer and NC lathe with FANUC 5T NC controller. In this system, the connection between central computer and cell control computer is done via RS-232C serial interface board, and the connection between cell control computer and FANUC 5T controller is done via parallel interface board. The software consists of two module, central computer communication module for NC program downloading and status uploading, NC machine running module for NC operating.

A Study on the Development of Communication Control System for Pressure Automatic System (사출 자동화 시스템을 위한 통신 제어 시스템 개발에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we added that developed communication control system between the PLC of pressure machine and the control computer, and developed a new protocol in order to communicate between the PLC signal of pressure machine and the control computer. This communication control systems play an important role in transforming the PLC vendor self-interface type and between computer and PLC. This system has PLC access function to control computer on the backbone network, and then could be operated by PLC through this system. The benefits we can obtain by developing this communication control systems are as follows; First, we can improve the quality of goods and the management of materials using the communication network and then implement the centralization management. Second, we can decrease manpower for production. Finally, we can maximize the company's profit with the increasing productivity by supervising the equipment wrong workings in the central.

  • Quantum computers will be a game-changer in various fields, such as cryptography and new materials. Quantum computer is quite different from the classical computer by using quantum-mechanical phenomena, such as superposition, entanglement, and interference. The main components of a quantum computer can be divided into quantum-algorithm, quantum-classical control interface, and quantum processor. Universal quantum computing, which can be applied in various industries, is expected to have more than millions of qubits with high enough gate accuracy. Currently, It uses general-purpose electronic equipment, which is placed in a rack, at room temperature to make electronic signals that control qubits. However, implementing a universal quantum computer with a low error rate requires a lot of qubits demands the change of the current control system to be an integrated and miniaturized system that can be operated at low temperatures. In this study, we explore the fundamental units of the control system, describe the problems and alternatives of the current control system, and discuss a future quantum control system.

Advances in Nonlinear Predictive Control: A Survey on Stability and Optimality

  • Some recent advances in stability and optimality for the nonlinear receding horizon control (NRHC) or the nonlinear model predictive control (NMPC) are assessed. The NRHCs with terminal conditions are surveyed in terms of a terminal state equality constraint, a terminal cost, and a terminal constraint set. Other NRHCs without terminal conditions are surveyed in terms of a control Lyapunov function (CLF) and cost monotonicity. Additional approaches such as output feedback, fuzzy, and neural network are introduced. This paper excludes the results for linear receding horizon controls and concentrates only on the analytical results of NRHCs, not including applications of NRHCs. Stability and optimality are focused on rather than robustness.

  • In this paper, the design guideline of communication interrace module for home-appliances is proposed. The requirements of the interface between white-goods and communication module are analyzed. Finally, the proposed interface structure is implemented using PLC technology.
