  • This study was motivated by the need to identify the characteristics of professionals involved in planning exterior spaces in urban development projects and to provide guidelines for maintaining the identity of urban images. Urban development's impact on external spaces can alter the image of the urban structure, especially due to the many boundaries between urban and rural areas. Therefore, there is a need for public standards for external spaces in such projects. This study collects and analyzes experts' opinions to understand the characteristics of each professional, selects the relative importance of each, and uses this as a guideline for step-by-step deliberation in planning external spaces. The research scope includes analyzing each expert's characteristics based on the external space evaluation items from Lee Limjeong's 2023 study, which builds upon existing research, and presenting the importance and priority of each expert. As a methodology, a questionnaire was conducted for each expert group using the indicators established in Lee Lim Jung's 2023 study for external spaces in urban development projects. An in-depth analysis was performed using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) for each expert. Using AHP analysis, the composite weight for each of the 17 detailed items was first adjusted by the number of item weights to account for the classification level of the large and detailed items. Then, the composite importance was calculated by multiplying the importance of the large, medium, and detailed classifications. The calculated composite importance was finally adjusted by applying the number of item weights again, ensuring the sum of the 17 importance values equals 1. The final importance calculated through this process was then presented by occupation.

  • In order to make the dynamic analysis and design of improved composite beam with corrugated steel web (CBGSCC) bridge more efficient and economical, the parametric self-cyclic analysis model (SCAM) was written in Python on Anaconda platform. The SCAM can call ABAQUS finite element software to realize automatic modeling and dynamic analysis. For the CBGSCC bridge, parameters were set according to the general value range of CBGSCC bridge parameters in actual engineering, the SCAM was used to calculate the large sample model generated by parameter coupling, the optimal value range of each parameter was determined, and the sensitivity of the parameters was analyzed. The number of diaphragms effects weakly on the dynamic characteristics. The deck thickness has the greatest influence on frequency, which decreases as the deck thickness increases, and the deck thickness should be 20-25 cm. The vibration frequency increases with the increase of the bottom plate thickness, the web thickness, and the web height, the bottom plate thickness should be 17-23mm, the web thickness should be 13-17 mm, and the web height should be 1.65-1.7 5 m. Web inclination and Skew Angle should not exceed 30°, and the number of diaphragms should be 3-5 pieces. This method can be used as a new method for structural dynamic analysis, and the importance degree and optimal value range of each parameter of CBGSCC bridge can be used as a reference in the design process.

  • Experimental study has been performed in order to construct the standard test methods and appraisal criteria by investigating the influence of specimen types(property, width, layers) and loading rate on the tensile characteristics of FRP used in strengthening RC structures. The FRP composite tested in this study are the unidirectional CFRP sheet/strip and the bidirectional GFRP sheet. Test variables consist of the various width ranging from 10mm to 25mm and number of CFRP sheets plied up to 5 layers. Test results indicated that maximum tensile strength and minimum coefficient of variation are recorded at each different width according to the fiber types and weaving directions. Also, the average tensile strengths of CFRP sheets are decreased as the number of layer of CFRP sheet are increased.

  • Steel composite structures have been studied in various areas such as bridges, high rise buildings, and wind towers. They show excellent structural performance through overcoming of the weaknesses of steel and concrete. Although various methods were already developed to achieve full composite behavior between steel and concrete in flexural members, the number of studies regarding composite columns is quite limited. If slip occurs between concrete and steel under external loads, the performance of the composite column would be reduced significantly. Connection methods ensuring full composite action between steel and concrete must be suggested. This paper investigated about structural behavior of shear studs through a series of experimental tests. Extensive parameters were also performed to understand the effects of the diameter of stud, space of stud and height of concrete. The present study provides fundamental bases for further development of design method of shear studs in composite columns.

  • This study that is a successive secondary study right after the primary bending strength test of a new form of U-shape hybrid composite beam is a cyclic seismic test of U-shape hybrid composite beam and column conncetion. Three specimens are built for the variables which are kinds of columns, depth of beam, continuity or discontinuity of upper plate of beam, and a number of steel bars of end-beam. Kinds of columns are a reinforcement concrete column and a ACT column of CFT shape, and beam depth are 300, and 500 mm. Detail of connection is bolt connection with using a short bracket that is commonly use. As the result, deformability of 2~4% is ensured the floor displacement angle. If it is the negative moment, the maximum moment shows that its capacity is above the nominal moment.

  • We studied the characteristics of impedance and electromechanical coupling coefficient in ZnO and AIN thin films by using resonance frequency spectrum method. The response peak of impedance decreased with the decrease of thickness of piezoelectrics, the number of mode of response peak decreased with the decrease of substrate thickness. An error of Kt² estimated from input Kt² increased as the thickness of piezoelectrics decreased and the thickness of substrate increased. Also, the error was increased in case of a large acoustic impedance of substrate. It was found that the composite resonator operating in optimized condition could be designed through the resonance frequency spectrum analysis of composited resonator consisted of piezoelectric thin film and substrate.

  • A composite material is composed of a reinforcement and a matrix, which determine mechanical characteristics of the molded part. There is no doubt that the properties of a composite material depend not only on the characteristics of the matrix but also on the structure of glass fiber mat and a fiber type of reinforcement. Therefore it is very important to study the composites of reinforcement and the matrix, and to control the fiber type in the process of molding of composite materials. In this study, the specimen was made of a glass fiber mat of 6-7mm thickness by scattering it in the air after cutting the glass fiber mat with needle punching makes change according to the type of needle and the number of times of stretching. First the sheet was made by means of a hot-press after accumulating a matrix and a glass fiber according to each mat structure of glass fiber. It was heated the manufactured sheet with the dry oven and molded it a secondary high temperature compression by a 30 ton oilhydraulic press. A definition of a correlation coefficient is showed up during this period and find it out with the relation of the fiber-matrix separation and the fiber orientation. We studied effects of the glass fiber mat structures on the correlation coefficient.

  • Current composite steel and concrete bridges are designed using full-interaction theory assuming there is no relative slip, between the steel and concrete components along their interface, because of the complexities of partial-interaction analysis techniques. However, in the assessment of existing composite bridges this simplification may not be warranted as it is often necesary to extract the correct capacity and endurance from the structure. This may only be achieved using partial-interaction theory which tuly reflects the behaviour of the structure. In this paper, Parametric analyses have been carried out in order to confirm the partial-interaction curvatures with deflection effect using the finite element method. Therefore, the model is considered for simply supported steel and concrete composite bridges with a uniform distribution of connectors subjected to a single concentrated load. For the case studies, this study applicate a parameters such as the number and space of stud shear connector and elastic modulus of concrete slabs. From this study, it is known that partial-interaction effect was in the increase to the increasing the deflection of composite bridges, and stiffness and strength of slab concrete considering the occurrence of crack effect seriously to the partial-interaction behavior.

  • In this study, the wear characteristics of five different dental composite resins cured by conventional halogen light and LED light sources were investigated. Five different dental composite resins of Surefil, Z100, Dyract AP, Fuji II LC and Compoglass were worn against a zirconia ceramic ball using a pin-on-disk type wear tester with 15N contact force in a reciprocal sliding motion of sliding distance of 10mm/cycle at 1Hz under the room temperature dry condition. The wear variations of dental composite resins were linearly increased as the number of cycles increased. It was observed that the wear resistances of these specimens were in the order of Dyract AP > Surefil > Compoglass > Z100 > Fuji II LC. On the morphological observations by SEM, the large crack formation on the sliding track of Fuji II LC specimen was the greatest among all resin composites. Dyract AP showed less wear with few surface damage. There is no significant difference in wear performance between conventional halogen light curing and light emitting diodes curing sources. It indicates that a light emitting diodes (LED) source can replace a halogen light source as curing unit for composite resin restorations.

  • There are a number of factors affecting the continued airworthiness of composite structure. Unlike metal structure, damages made in manufacturing processes or maintenance repair procedures need to be considered. The different levels of degradation and damage, which may occur, must be considered for structural substantiation of static strength, stiffness, flutter, and damage tolerance. This can start with an evaluation of environmental effects for the particular composite material. Matrix-dominated composite properties, such as compressive strength, are most sensitive to moisture absorption and temperatures. Static strength substantiation includes the smaller damages that will not be detected in production or maintenance inspection while damage tolerance addresses larger damages that need to be repaired once discovered. In this paper, we intend to list the airworthiness regulations and advisory circular that are deemed closely related to the certification of composite airplanes.
