덧셈 잡음에서 합성신호의 비모수 검파기 (A nonparametric detection scheme of composite signals in additive noise)

  • In this paper, rank-based nonparmetric detection of composite signals in additive noise is considered. Based on signs and ranks of observations, the locally optimum detector is deived for weak-signal detection under any specified noise probability density funhction. This detector has similarities to the locally optimum detector for comjposite signals in additive noise. The asymptotic performance of this nonparametric detector is shown to be as good as that of the locally optimum detector.

  • 본 논문에서는 상관에 기반 한 비선형 합성필터를 이용한 왜곡과 잡음에 강인한 얼굴인식 방법을 연구한다. 상관도 기반 방법은 얼굴 영역의 검출과 인증을 동시에 수행하여 보다 신속한 처리를 할 수 있다는 장점이 있다. 최적화된 비선형 합성필터는 학습영상의 출력 값을 일정하게 유지하면서 입력 영상과 잡음의 필터 출력에너지를 최소화함으로써 얻어진다. 입력 영상의 출력에너지를 최소화하여 허위표적과의 식별력을 부여하고 잡음의 출력에너지를 최소화하여 가산성 잡음에 대한 강인성을 증대한다. 본 논문에서는 비선형 합성필터를 두 개의 학습 영상으로 구성하여 표적의 왜곡과 저해상도 그리고 잡음 환경 하에서 얼굴 인증을 실험하였다. 실험결과는 비선형 합성필터가 SDF(synthetic discriminant function) 필터와 비교하여 ROC(receiver operating characteristics) 커브에서 우수한 성능을 보인다.

MFC와 능동 제어를 이용한 손상된 복합재의 동적 특성 복원 (Dynamic Characteristics Modification of Damaged Composite Structure Using MFC and Active Control Algorithm)

  • In this work, active control algorithm is adopted to reduce delamination effects of the damaged composite structure and control performance with MFC actuator is numerically evaluated. Finite element model for the damaged composite structure with piezoelectric actuator is established based on improved layerwise theory. In order to achieve high control performance, MFC actuator, which has increased actuating force, is considered as a piezoelectric actuator. Mode shapes and corresponding natural frequencies for the damaged smart composite structure are studied. After design and implementation of active controller, dynamic characteristics of the damaged smart composite structure are investigated.

철도차량 내장재용 복합재료 패널의 차음성능에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Sound Insulation Performance of the Composite-Material Panel for Railroad Vehicle)

  • Since most of main noise sources of the railroad vehicle are transmitted to the passenger's ear through the vibration of the panel, the sound insulation performance of the panels should be high enough to protect the passenger's ear from the noisy environment. Specifically, the composite materials which are generally used for reducing the weight of the vehicle compartment have the low insulation performance, thus noise control actions should be taken appropriately by considering the insulation performance of the panels. In this study, the insulation performances of the inner/outer panels of the compartment are evaluated. In addition, the contribution of the insulation performance of aluminum door is estimated and compared to those of composite panels. The results can furnish an in-depth understanding of the insulation characteristics of the panel of railroad vehicle.

복합재료 유연 프로펠러의 제작 및 성능 평가 (Production & Performance Assessment of Composite Material Flexible Propeller)

  • The researches on the development of composite material underwater vehicle propeller have been actively attempted for the reduction of radiation noise with outstanding damping effects. Composite material propellers have almost been designed and produced by the foreign experts, and it is difficult to obtain the related informations about their flow, vibration, material characteristics because they are treated as the secrets with close relationship to the military technology, especially in the case of underwater vehicles. For the security of domestic manufacture of composite material propeller and the comparison and examination of its performance and radiation noise characteristics with those of German CONTUR composite material propeller, two propellers were self-produced according to the fiber weaving and array using compressible molding process and their self performances and radiation noise characteristics were measured. The mean fluctuations of blade tip of self-produced composite material propeller were increased and the radiation noises in the low frequency band were reduced compared to those of CONTUR, which could be estimated as the change of material characteristics and also be thought to be used for the future research informations.

  • The flexural vibration of laminated composite beams with active and passive constrained-layer damping has been investigated to design structure with maximum possible damping capacity. The equations of motion are derived for flexural vibrations of symmetrical, multi-layer laminated beams. The damping ratio and modal damping of the first bending mode are calculated by means of iterative complex eigensolution method. This paper addresses a design strategy of laminated composite under flexural vibrations with active control.

직각 흡음체 설치 경량방음터널의 토출소음 저감효과 분석 (Analysis of Reduction Effect on Noise Discharge from Lightweight Soundproof Tunnels Installed with Lateral Sound-absorbing Panels)

  • Most of the soundproof tunnels generate significant discharge noise through their inlets and outlets so that the length of the tunnel has been extended frequently than required to minimize the effect on such discharge noise. Thus, in this paper, we investigate reduction capability of discharge noise from the sound proof tunnel installed with lateral sound-absorbing panels on the partitioned truss members in the longitudinal direction of the tunnel. In conclusion, noise field analysis results shows that the sound proof tunnels with lateral sound-absorbing panels have an effect on discharge noise abatement and thereby tunnel's length reduction.

Two-Microphone Generalized Sidelobe Canceller with Post-Filter Based Speech Enhancement in Composite Noise

  • This paper describes an algorithm to suppress composite noise in a two-microphone speech enhancement system for robust hands-free speech communication. The proposed algorithm has four stages. The first stage estimates the power spectral density of the residual stationary noise, which is based on the detection of nonstationary signal-dominant time-frequency bins (TFBs) at the generalized sidelobe canceller output. Second, speech-dominant TFBs are identified among the previously detected nonstationary signal-dominant TFBs, and power spectral densities of speech and residual nonstationary noise are estimated. In the final stage, the bin-wise output signal-to-noise ratio is obtained with these power estimates and a Wiener post-filter is constructed to attenuate the residual noise. Compared to the conventional beamforming and post-filter algorithms, the proposed speech enhancement algorithm shows significant performance improvement in terms of perceptual evaluation of speech quality.

풀러렌이 혼입된 나피온기반 나노복합체 작동기의 성능평가 (Performance Test of Nano-Composite Actuator Based on Fullerene Mixed Nafion)

  • In this study, the nano-composite actuator based on Fullerene and Nafion was newly developed to improve the electro active polymer actuators. The tensile test was employed to define the mechanical stiffness and strength of the nano-composite membrane. Also, the bending displacement of the Fullerene-Nafion based nano-composite actuator was investigated under DC and AC excitations with various magnitudes and frequencies. As a result, the new nano-composite actuator based on Fullerene-Nafion shows much larger deformation than the pure Nafion based actuator and solves the straightening back Problem of the previous electro active polymer actuators.
