  • Recently, in urban areas there is a tendency to construct more complex network-type tunnels including entrance and exit ramps. At the same time, various one-dimensional programs based on the network theory have been proposed for tunnel ventilation analysis. This paper aims at developing a program that can analyze the ventilation flow rate and pollutants concentration in complex network-type tunnels based on the none hardy-cross method. The flow analysis in the branch was carried out on the basis of the Gradient method, while for the concentration analysis a new logic has been developed to calculate the inflow and outflow concentration automatically in a complex network-type structure. Additionally, in the tunnel segments showing low flow rate, proper grid interval sizes were proposed to reduce numerical error. To verify the applicability of the program, flow rates predicted in the straight tunnels were compared with the classical velocity-diagram method by Stokic and the TVSDM program. The results showed that the errors were within 1%. In addition, the program was applied to the recent ventilation system adopted in the complex network-type urban tunnels.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze how the ten-week complex exercise program for obese postpartum women affects their metabolic syndrome related risk factors (HDL-C, TG, Glucose, blood pressure, and waist circumference) and adipocytokines (Leptin and Adiponectin). The study subjects were 14 women who passed less than 40 months after their child birth, among whom seven were assigned to complex exercise group and seven to control group. The complex exercise program consists of rhythm dance aerobic exercise and resistance exercise. It has been performed twice a week for 10 weeks, and 80 minutes for each session. For data analysis, Mann Whitney U-test, Wilcoxon test, Spearman correlation analysis were conducted. As a result, the groups had no difference in all of the metabolic syndrome related risk factors before and after the program. Regarding intra-group difference, the complex exercise group significantly increased HDL-C, and significantly decreased TG, Glucose, and waist circumference, and the control group signfiicantly increased TG and Glucose. According to the analysis on adipocytokines, in terms of intra-group difference, the complex exercise group significantly increased Adiponectin after exercise. With regard to the correlations between metabolic syndrome related risk factors and adipocytokines, HDL-C and Glucose had a correlation with Adiponectin.

  • Finishing is the most time-consuming step in sequencing, and many genome projects are left unfinished due to complex repeat regions. Here, we have developed BACContigEditor, a prototype shotgun sequence finishing tool. It is essentially an editor that visualizes assemblies of shotgun sequence fragment reads as gapped multiple alignments. The program offers some flexibility that is needed to rapidly resolve complex regions within a working session. The sole purpose of the release is to promote collaborative creation of extensible software for fragment assembly editors, foster collaborative development, and reduce barriers to initial tool development effort. We describe our software architecture and identify current challenges. The program is available under an Open Source license.

  • The increase in the productivity and the assurance of quality machining on the NC machines depends on, amongst other things, the perfection of the programming using adequate methods of interpolation. The programming language is until now based on the code ISO 6983 which defines the principles of the code G. This latter is not well adapted to the new strategies of machining imposed by the machining of complex surfaces and machining at high speed with the increasingly more severe requirements of precision. The CNC which adopt the interpolation of NURBS (Non Uniform Rational B-spline) are very rare (FANUC Siemens${\ldots}$). Based on the advantages of NURBS (continuity, flexibility, smoothing$.{\ldots}$), new formats G are currently developed but their use is still very limited. Our work consists on putting forward these new approaches of programming using the interpolation of NURBS. For this reason, a program capable to trace NURBS trajectories under Visual BASIC 6.0 was developed. This program was used thereafter in CAM software for the generation of NURBS formats like their new formats NC.

  • As the population of olds increases, the number of old people with capability increases, and they actively participate to social works with interests in healthy life and leisures. Therefore the demand rises to expand social facilities to support their spare time, while there are limitation, such as land, financial state, to build such facilities. In case of Japan, a solution of such problem occurs by compounding Social facilities for Old people and local facilities in practical and finacial aspect of the selection of site and managing the facilities and social aspect of supporting oppotunities to use various facilities. Such community based complex facilities supports services depending on the health state of Old people locally residing and increases the communication between different generation. The purpose of this research is aimed to analyze programs and space organization of advanced facilities in Japan and provide basical data for planning complex facilities for old people in Korea.

  • Cryogenic LNG(Liquefied Natural Gas) which is stored in the cylindrical storage tanks of $100,000m^{3}$ has very complex flow phenomena and the changes of thermal properties with exterior conditions and operation mdoes. These complex thermofluid behaviors are affected by the storage, exterior conditions of LNG, design specifications and heat transfer characteristics of tanks, Also, those have influence on the stable storage and supply of LNG in the storage tanks. Thus this study performed the analysis on the 2-D heat transfer of the tank with exterior conditions, on the Cool Down Process in order to cool down the LNG Storage Tank at the initial normal state, and on the Filling Process considered for incoming and rising of LNG. The analysis on the Mixing LNG Storage was studied too. At last, the visualized program on the complex thermofluidodynamic analysis was developed on the basis of the above analyses. The development of this program becomes to be used to the basic design of the commercial tanks as well as to assure technical skill of the analysis on the thermal stability of the stored LNG in the LNG Storage Tank.
