  • In this paper, we analyze the existing ecovillages in order to establish a planned-ecovillage model to suggest improvement in direction of ecovillage planning; namely, efficiency of planning elements through analysis of changes in ecovillages. Changes to living environment require increased relaxation and convenience to ensure quality of life. Unlike general ecovillages, planned-ecovillages differ in their introduction of planning elements by autonomous decision-making through discussions and meetings among residents. In the village planning process, complex planning, community facilities, ecology-base facilities, water-resource utilization, and waste disposal can waver from initial planning, giving rise to realistic alternatives to village characteristics for those considering changes to space organization.

  • Renewable energy is emerging as a reliable alternative source of energy, it is much safer, cleaner than conventional sources and has contributed significantly in this sector. However, there are still some challenges that needed to address this evolving technology. Artificial Intelligence (A. I.) can assess the past, optimize the present, and forecast the future. Therefore, A. I. will resolve most of these problems. Artificial intelligence is complex in nature, but it reduces error and aims to reach a greater degree of precision which make renewables smarter. This paper provides an overview of frequently used A. I. methods in solar energy applications. A sample algorithm is also provided for literature purposes and knowledge transfer.

  • This study was to examine the utilization of waste egg snells for removal of heavy metals in laboratory wastewater. It was estimated that pH increasing formed heavy metals into a hydroxide and then settled to remove them. Removal rate of heavy metals were increased as increased dosage, low adsorbate concentration and passed reaction time. Average adsorption volumes of Cr, Cu, Mn and Pb per g were about 1.21 mg, 1.1 mg, 0.96 mg and 1.04 mg, respectively. If we reflected the adsorption capacity(k) and adsorption intensity(1/n) of Freundlich isotherm, we couldn't consider waste egg shells as a good adsorbent. It seemed that heavy metals contained in complex wastewater was removed to be influenced by inital pH, solubilities with passed reaction rime and competitive reaction.

  • The conventional water budget analysis methods for major water works do not take the spatial variation of available water resources into account. There has also been a tendency of over-estimation of water supply capacity when a significant inter-basin water transfer is involved. Therefore, a revised water budget analysis methodology is proposed which can take care of the spatial variation of the water resources available within the basin and with the inter-basin transferable water. For the purpose of present study, the Saemangeum project area is taken for the analysis, which includes both the Dongjin and the Mangyungs River basin, one of the regions with the most complex water utilization.

  • This study presents a methodology that efficiently evaluates and interprets the end-user computing capability in a total perspective in a computing environment. The evaluation system has an evaluation tool, evaluation method and process, and an interpretation system. The validity and reliability of the developed tool construct was verified by factor and reliability analysis with the application of SPSS software. The application and utilization of the developed system was confirmed by applying it to evaluating the computing competency of 316 workers in an enterprise and presenting its evaluation results. This will contribute to developing a methodology for totally evaluating and interpreting the end-user computing capability and improving their computing capability in industrial fields.

  • This research indicates to controversial point that store equipments were not applying correct development factor in the each apartment house by that change rate by scale and uniformity of form and inefficiency, effect of discount store is increasing in apartment house and progressed research. The result are as follows; First, interior main point of store of that influence greatly to change rate number of store be. Second, being lot area in jar in outside factor of store. Third, discount store separation appeared by leading person who influence greatly to change rate in middle who is contiguity market singleness residential quarter and contiguity existence of commercial district and nonexistence and discount store separation of only outside right near at hand. Construction of commerce equipment may have to consist in practical apartment house after examine various kinds factor such as store indoor, store outside and only outside while plan practical use of systematic and efficient commerce equipment focusing more in efficient utilization of commerce institution that consist after plan that is not planed commerce equipment focusing in development in plan of commerce equipment in apartment house hereafter accordingly.

  • A fast and robust method of grid generation to multiple functions has been developed for flow analysis in three dimensional space. It is based on the Non-Uniform Rational B-Spline(NURBS) of an approximation method. Many of NURBS intrinsic properties are introduced and much more easily understood. The grid generation method, details of numerical implementation. examples of application, and potential extensions of the current method are illustrated in this paper. The object of this study is to develop the surface grid generation and the grid cluster techniques capable of resolving complex flows with shock waves, expansion waves, shear layers. The knot insert method of Non-Uniform Rational B-Spline seems well worked. In addition, NURBS has been widely utilized to generate grids in the computational fluid dynamics community. Computational examples associated with practical configurations have shown the utilization of the algorithm.

  • The major objective of this study is to evaluate the water balance of the Kumgang estuary barrage, one oof the regions with the most complex water utilization system. For the purpose of present study, two approaches are proposed which consider both the natural flow and low flow conditions, respectively. In order to make the evaluation of the low flow sequences, the flood frequency of the sequences was removed. According to the results, water deficiency is expected on the target year of 1996 in case of low inflow.

  • The present study investigated the processes of selecting and modeling of design variables based on HIEs for developing the evaluational model on the physical suitability of office chairs. Evaluational model can be used for development of the new products or improvement of the old products. For the best utilization of the evaluational model, the process of scrutinizing the variables and the complex interactions among the variables is indispensible. Also, for this, it is necessary to select only the right HIEs which influence the physical suitability of products greatly. The present study suggested analytical processes for making the evaluational model on the physical suitability (Comfortability, Suitability, Stability, Adjustability, Clearance) of office chairs.
