미토콘드리아내 결정함유물의 미세구조 및 면액황금표식법 (Fine Structure and Immunogoldlabeling of Crystalline Inclusion Bodies in Mitochondria)

  • 미토콘드리아가 포함하고있는 결정한유물의 미새구조와 면역황금표식법에 의한 분석을 위하여 우심근 세포의 미토콘드리아에서 전자전달체에 관여하는 효소를 분리하였다. 우심근 미토콘드리아에서 분리된 효소는 실험토끼에 주사하여 (복합체I,NADH-conezyme Q reductase; 복합체 III,Ubiquinol-cytochrome-c-oxldoreductase; 복합체 IV, Cytochrome-c-oxidase)들에 대한 면역항체를 얻었다. 이들 면역항체들은 우심근과 정상인의 골격근 미토콘드리아와 미토콘드리아에 결정함유물을 포함하는 mitochondrical myopathy환자의 골격근 미토콘드리아에 반응시켜 황금입자를 표식하고 전자현미경을 이용하여 이들 면역항체반응을 관찰하였다. 미토콘드리아가 포함하는 결정함유물의 미세구조에는 paracrystalline inclusions body와 multilamellar strudure inclusion body그리고 구형결정함유물(globular crystalline inclusions body) 및 윤형구조 (whirl shaped structure)의 크리스테 중심에 있는 구형결정함유물 등의 4종류로관찰되었다. 복합체 I,복합체 Iv의 효소에 대한 항체를 우심근과 정상인 골격근 그리고 mitochondrical myopathy환자의 골격근에 동일한 면역반응을 시켰을때 미토콘드리아 크리스테에 부착하는 황금입자의 표식 정도는 각각의 근조직에서 유사한 반응이 관찰되었다. 복합체 III의 효소에 대한 항체는 우심근과 정상인의 골격근에서는 유사한 반응이 나타났으나 mitochondrical myopathy환자의 골격근에서는 극히 소수의 황금입자가 관찰되었다. 구형결정함유물은 복합체 I,III,IV의 3종류의 효소에 대한 면역반응 결과 황금입자표식은 관찰되지 않았다. 따라서 mitochondrical myopathy환자의 미토콘드리아에는 복합에 III의 효소가 결핍되었으며 구형결정함유물은 전자전달체 효소들인 복합체 I,III,Iv 효소단백질과는 상관없는 물질로 생각된다.

아파트 로열층에 대한 선호도 변화 및 인식 특성에 대한 연구 - 서울 잠실재건축단지 거주자 및 부동산중개업자 설문조사를 중심으로 - (Resident Preference Trends and Perceptions Regarding Royal Floors in High-rise Housing - Questionnaire Survey from Residents and Realtors of One through Four of the Jamshil Redeveloped Apartment Complexes -)

  • Although the term royal floors is broadly used in high-rise housing, it is hard to find any clear scholarly definition of this term or any in-depth study exploring people's perceptions of it. This study reviewed ongoing discussions about concepts and definitions regarding royal floors, collected opinions from high-rise housing residents and realtors about the term, and compared the opinions of these two groups. First, the statistically analyzed results verified five main factors affecting people's perceptions of royal floors: locational characteristics (i.e., daylight, view, orientation), 2) price characteristics (i.e., premium, price increase level, number of houses on urgent sale), 3) best location of apartment building (i.e., location within a neighborhood, unit size), 4) architectural characteristics of apartment complex (i.e., size of complex, housing type, size options of units), and 5) personal characteristics of respondents (i.e., personal concepts of the meaning of housing, lifestyles). Results from the analysis showed that realtors perceived strong relationships between royal floors and 1) locational and 2) price characteristic factors, while residents perceived strong relationships between royal floors and personal preference as well as three factors from the five identified above: 1) locational, 2) price, and 4) architectural characteristics. Third, in defining royal floors in a building, the past rule of 1/4 is no longer effective. Instead, the rule of 1/n has become more prevalent (i.e., 1/6 to 1/8). Fourth, royal floors can be defined as the 15th to 25th floors in a 30-story high-rise housing structure based on the agreement of 50% of residents and 70% of realtors.

  • 소형위성발사체 (KSLV-I)의 발사 준비에는 다양한 규격의 질소 가스 및 초저온 액체 질소가 소요된다. 발사대 질소 공급 시스템은 고압의 질소 가스 생성, 추진제 충전 후 발사 대기 중인 발사체의 보호를 위한 공간 퍼지용 질소 가스 생성, 연료 및 산화제의 냉각을 위한 액체 질소 공급 기능을 수행하기 위하여 개발되었다. 대기 환경 조건에 따라 열전달 특성이 민감하게 변화하는 대기식 기화기의 운용 불안정성을 제거하기 위해 기화기의 병렬 설치 및 교대 운용 절차를 도입하였다. 이를 통하여 기후 조건에 상관없이 항시적으로 운용이 가능한 시스템을 개발하였으며, 소형 위성 발사체의 비행 시험을 위한 발사대 운용을 성공적으로 수행하였다.

DEEP INFRARED SURVEYS OF STAR FORMING REGIONS IN THE MWG AND LMC

  • On behalf of the IRSF/SIRIUS group, I introduce some recent results from our deep near-infrared surveys (J, Hand Ks bands, limiting magnitude of Ks=17) toward star forming regions in the Milky Way Galaxy (MWG) and Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC) with the near-infrared camera SIRIUS. We discovered a rich population of low-mass young stellar objects associated with the W3 and NGC 7538 regions in the MWG based on the near-infrared colors arid magnitudes. The high sensitivity of our survey enables us to detect intermediate-mass pre-main sequence stars, i.e. HAEBE stars, even in the LMC. We detected many HAEBE candidate stars in the N159/N160 complex star forming region in the LMC with the IRSF 1.4-m telescope. Spatial distributions of the young stellar objects indicate the sequential cluster formation in each star forming region in the complex and large scale (a few ${\times}$ 100 pc) sequential cluster formation over the entire complex.

  • In this study, organic electroluminescent devices(OELD) with a structure of a glass $substrate/ITO/TPD/Tb(ACAC)_3(Phen-Cl)/Alq_3/Al$ was fabricated by vacuum evaporation method, where Tb complex was known to have green light emitting property. Electroluminescent(EL) and I-V characteristics of this structure were investigated. This triple-layer structure shows the green EL spectrum at the wavelwngth of 546nm, which is almost the same as the PL spectrum of $Pb(ACAC)_3(Phen_Cl)$. It was found in current-voltage(I-V) characteristics of the devices that the operating voltage was about 12V.

  • The biotin-attached G8 molecular transporter (5) was synthesized and used together with quantum dots in preparing the complexes (QD-MT). The QD-MT complexes were studied in terms of the cellular uptake and the internalization mechanism in live HeLa cells with the aid of various known endocytosis inhibitors. It has been concluded that the QD-MT complex is internalized largely by macropinocytosis. The mouse tissue distribution of the QD-MT complex by i.p. and i.v. routes showed some organ selectivity and a good ability to cross the BBB.

연안도시지역에서 대기오염의 3차원 수치예측모델링 -(I) 침적현상이 대기질에 미치는 영향예측 (3-D Numerical Prediction Modeling of Air Pollution in Coastal Urban Region -(I) An Effect Prediction for Deposition Phenomenon affecting on Air Quality)

  • Air quality modeling for coastal urban region has been composed of a complex system including meteorological, chemical and physical processes and emission characteristics in complex terrain. In this study, we studied about an effect prediction for deposition phenomenon affecting on air quality in Pusan metopolitan metropolitan city. In air quality modeling including ship sources, a situation considered deposition process habe better result than not considered when compared with observed value. Air pollutants emitted into urban air during the daytime nearly removed through urban atmosphere polluted. Also these phenomena correlated concentration variation connent with sea/land breezes and terrain effect. Therefore we conclude that the concentration was low at daytime when deposition flux is high, and deposition effect on industrial complex and Dongrae region is considerable in particular.

  • For a finite subset ${\Lambda}$ of $\mathbb{N}_0{\times}\mathbb{N}_0$, where $\mathbb{N}_0$ is the set of nonnegative integers, we say that a complex data ${\gamma}_{\Lambda}:=\{{\gamma}_{ij}\}_{(ij){\in}{\Lambda}}$ in the unit disc $\mathbf{D}$ of complex numbers has a cyclic subnormal completion if there exists a Hilbert space $\mathcal{H}$ and a cyclic subnormal operator S on $\mathcal{H}$ with a unit cyclic vector $x_0{\in}\mathcal{H}$ such that ${\langle}S^{*i}S^jx_0,x_0{\rangle}={\gamma}_{ij}$ for all $i,j{\in}\mathbb{N}_0$. In this note, we obtain some sufficient conditions for a cyclic subnormal completion of ${\gamma}_{\Lambda}$, where ${\Lambda}$ is a finite subset of $\mathbb{N}_0{\times}\mathbb{N}_0$.

  • It has been known that the organic base complexes formed with the anionic acid base indicators are highly soluble in non-polar solvents but relatively insoluble in water. In the work reported here the formation of the complex between chloropromazine and bromothymol blue was studied and applied it to the determination of the base. The values to determine the binding ratio of the base with the indicator at pH 3.5 obtained from the application of Job's method of continuous variation and mol ratio method were both 1:1. From the application of this reaction to the determination of the base with carbon tetrachloride as the solvent for the extraction, fairy good results have been obtained.
