Furthermore, maternal overprotective behavior related to daily life and school learning showed a significant difference due to the children's grade. Second, maternal overprotective behavior related to daily life showed a significant difference due to the mother's education level. Finally, the result of multiple regression analysis on the effects of the mother's overprotective behavior to the children's aggression, withdrawal, and perceived competence indicated that maternal overprotective behavior related to daily life and school learning was the significant contributing factor. All in all, the variables accounted for 11% of the children's aggression, 11% of the children's withdrawal, and 6% of the children's perceived competence.

  • Objectives: This study aimed to examine the effects of compassion competence, professional self-concept and nursing practice environment on caring behaviors of clinical nurses. Methods: A convenience sample of 200 nurses was drawn from a tertiary hospital in G city. Structured self-report questionnaires were used to collect data, which were analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression. Results: A significant difference in caring behaviors of nurses was found for age, educational level, and unit. There were statistically significant positive correlations between study variables. Sensitivity and communication of compassion competence, communication of professional self-concept, and nursing foundations for quality of care in nursing practice environment were significant predictors of caring behaviors, explaining 51.3% of total variance. Conclusions: To improve clinical nurses' caring behaviors, strategies must be developed and implemented for enhancing their compassion competence, professional self-concept, and nursing practice environment.

  • This study aimed to determine the effects of simulation-based education in diabetic patient care to nursing students on their level of diabetic knowledge, clinical nursing competence, practicum satisfaction and communicative competence. The pre-post test were conducted to compare the differences in diabetic knowledge, clinical nursing competence, practicum satisfaction and communicative competence. The research data for the subject of study was collected from October 21 to November 1, 2013 in 3rd grade 75 nursing students. The student who had received the simulation-based education, did show significant increase in diabetic knowledge(t=-9.684, p<.001), clinical nursing competence(t=-4.173, p<.001), and communicative competence(t=-7.685, p<.001) than before. But, there was no significant different in the practicum satisfaction(t=-1.144, p=.256). Based on the above results, simulation-based education can enhance the nursing knowledge, clinical performance and communication ability of the subjects and can be applied to various education courses.

  • Dental hygienists students are required to be able to interact and maintain relationships with dentists and patients. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to identify the relations affecting interpersonal competence of some dental hygiene students, and to provide the necessary data for nurturing competent dental hygienists. The survey was conducted on 293 dental hygiene students in M university. The level of significance was .05 and the statistical program was SPSS win 25.0. As a result of interpersonal competence according to general characteristics and interpersonal characteristics, significant results were found in the degree of human relations and new environmental adaptability. As a result of correlation analysis between subvariables of interpersonal competence, all showed significant positive correlation. Factors affecting interpersonal competence showed significant positive effects on the degree of human relationship(p=.019) and the new environmental adaptability(p=.001). Interpersonal competence are important in the clinic. Therefore, a convergent analysis of the factors influencing is required.

  • In this paper, we propose to develop a diagnosis tool for measuring digital competence for university student. To this end, 223 students participated for the survey research. Based on the survey by 6 domain and 40 questions, 6 factors and 18 questions for digital competence measurement were drawn throughout the factors analysis. The results of the confirmatory factor analysis showed the fact that 6 factors and 18 questions that satisfied the model-fit indexes statistically were finally confirmed. And the developed tool demonstrated good results in reliability and validity verification, which were suitable for measuring digital competence for university students. The developed measurement tool of digital competence for university students consisted of 6 sub-components such digital device operation, communication and collaboration, information searching, processing, and management, problem solving and learning, security, digital ethics. The digital competence measuring tool developed in this study is expected to be used to identify the current level of competences for university student, and to enhance their own digital competences through educational supports.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships between leisure competence, leisure flow, and leisure satisfaction of university students participating in leisure activity. The subjects were selected by stratified cluster random sampling method. They were composed of 308 students who had been leisure activity participating in university students. The Leisure competence(Ahn, 2005), Leisure flow(Lee, 2006), Leisure satisfaction(Ahn, 2009) were used for collecting data. In consequence of exploratory factor analysis, 3sub-factors(leisure competence), 5sub-factors(leisure flow), and 5sub-factor(leisure satisfaction were found. Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ coefficient were .726~.850, .537~.887, .764~.943 respectively. For the statistical analysis, SPSS 15.0 and AMOS 7.0 were utilized. The relationship between research variables were examined by the frequency, explore factor, reliability, corelation, structural equation modeling analysis. The significance level of all test was p<.05. The findings were as follows: First, leisure competence did have a positive influence on leisure flow. Second, leisure competence didn't have influence on leisure satisfaction. Final, leisure flow did have positive influence on leisure satisfactions.
