  • Dielectric properties were investigated at Mn doped 0.17($Ba_{0.53}$, $Pb_{0.47}$)0-$0.16Nd_2O_3$-$0.67TiO_2$ system in microwave frequency. It was observed that dielectric constant of 90.1, quality factor of 1320 (at 3.8GHz) and temperature coefficient of resonance frequency 2.3 ppm/$^{\circ}C$ for 0.5wt% Mn doped 0.17($Ba_{0.53}$, $Pb_{0.47}$)0-$0.16Nd_2O_3$-$0.67TiO_2$ system in sintering condition $1290^{\circ}C$/2hr. The quality factor increase due to the compensation effect of Mn ions yp to 0.5wt% and the decrease due to the interface relaxation effect. The temperature coefficient of resonance frequency increases to negative direction with increasing the amounts of Mn.

수치지도를 이용한 IKONOS Geo-level 위성영상의 편의보정 (Bias Compensation of IKONOS Geo-level Satellite Imagery Using the Digital Map)

  • 본 연구에서는 IKONOS Geo-level 입체영상과 함께 계공되는 RPC에 의해 편의된 영상좌표를 보정하기 위해 1:1,000과 1:5,000 수치지도의 활용성을 평가하고자 하였다. 그 결과, 편의가 보정된 영상이 보정되지 않은 영상 보다 평면위치와 고도위치 각각에 대하여 4m, 2m 정도 정확도가 향상되었으며, 수치지도 기준점으로부터 편의 보정된 입체영상은 1:10,000 정도의 수치지도 제작에 요구되는 위치정확도를 만족하였다.

  • Interior permanent-magnet synchronous motors (IPMSMs) produce both magnetic and reluctance torques. The reluctance torque is due to the difference between the d- and q-axis inductances based on the geometric rotor structure. The steady-state performance analysis and precise control of the IPMSMs greatly depend on the accurate determination of the parameters. The three essential parameters of the IPMSMs are the armature flux linkage of the permanent magnet, the d-axis inductance, and the q-axis inductance. In the basic design step of an IPMSM, the inductance parameters are very important for determining the motor characteristics, such as the input voltage, torque, and efficiency. Thus, it is very important to accurately estimate the values of the motor inductances. The inductance parameters of IPMSMs have nonlinear characteristics along the magnet size because the iron core is saturated by the magnet and armature reaction fluxes. In this study, the inductance parameters were calculated using both the magnetic-equivalent-circuit method and the finite-element method (FEM). Then the calculated parameters were compensated by the saturation coefficient function, which was also calculated via the magnetic-equivalent-circuit method and FEM.

저전력 CMOS On-Chip 기준전압 발생회로 (Low-Power CMOS On-Chip Voltage Reference Circuits)

  • 본 논문에서는 증식형 MOS 트랜지스터와 저항만을 사용하여 기준전압을 발생하기 위한 두 가지 방법을 제안하였다. 첫 번째 방법은 문턱전압에 비례하는 전압성분과 열전압에 비례하는 전압성분을 합하여 온도보상을 하는 전압모드 방식이고, 두 번째는 문턱전압에 비례하는 전류성분과 열전압에 비례하는 전류성분을 합하여 온도보상을 하는 전류모드 방식이다. 설계된 회로들을 $0.65{\mu}m$ n-well CMOS 공정 페러미터를 사용하여 HSPICE 모의실험한 결과, 전압모드 회로의 경우 공급전압에 대한 변화율은 $-30^{\circ}C{\sim}130^{\circ}C$의 온도범위에서 0.21%/V 이하이고, 온도에 대한 변화율은 $3V{\sim}12V$의 공급전압 범위에서 $48.0ppm/^{\circ}C$ 이하이다. 전류모드 회로의 경우는 공급전압에 대한 변화율이 $-30^{\circ}C{\sim}130^{\circ}C$의 온도범위에서 0.08%/V 이하이고, 온도에 대한 변화율은 $4V{\sim}12V$의 공급전압 범위에서 $38.2ppm/^{\circ}C$ 이하이다. 또한 전력소모는 5V, $30^{\circ}C$일 때 전압모드 경우와 전류모드 경우 각각 $27{\mu}W$$65{\mu}W$로 저전력 특성을 보인다. 제작된 전압모드 기준전압 발생회로를 측정한 결과, 공급전압에 대한 변화율은 $30^{\circ}C{\sim}100^{\circ}C$의 온도범위에서 0.63%/V 이하이고, 온도에 대한 변화율은 $3.0{\sim}6.0V$의 공급전압 범위에서 $490ppm/^{\circ}C$ 보다 작다. 제안된 회로들은 구조가 간단하기 때문에 설계가 용이하고, 특히 전류모드의 경우 넓은 범위의 기준전압 발생이 가능하다는 장점을 갖는다.

Optimal Position of Optical Phase Conjugator for Compensation of Distorted WDM Signals with Initial Frequency Chirp

  • In this paper, the optimal position of optical phase conjugator(OPC) excellently compensating distorted WDM channels with initial frequency chirp due to both chromatic dispersion and self phase modulation(SPM) is numerically investigated. Highly-nonlinear dispersion shifted fiber(HNL-DSF) is used as a nonlinear medium of OPC in order to widely compensate WDM signal band. It is confirmed that if the OPC position was shifted from mid-way of total transmission length dependence on the initial frequency chirp as well as modulation format and fiber dispersion coefficient, it is possible to cancel the performance degradation owing to the initial frequency chirp. Using proposed configuration, it is possible to remove all in-line dispersion compensator, reducing span losses and system costs in the long-haul broadband WDM systems.

  • Low costed position sensor or sensorless control method is generally used in the motor control for home appliance because of the material cost and manufacture standard restriction. In conventional sensorless method, the stator resistance and back-EMF coefficient are varied by the motor speed and load torque variation. Therefore, position error occurred when the motor is operated by sensorless control method because of these variations. In this paper, the compensation method is proposed for sensorless position error using the MRAS method and compared with the other sensorless control method.

Harmonic Elimination and Reactive Power Compensation with a Novel Control Algorithm based Active Power Filter

  • This paper presents a power system harmonic elimination using the mixed adaptive linear neural network and variable step-size leaky least mean square (ADALINE-VSSLLMS) control algorithm based active power filter (APF). The weight vector of ADALINE along with the variable step-size parameter and leakage coefficient of the VSSLLMS algorithm are automatically adjusted to eliminate harmonics from the distorted load current. For all iteration, the VSSLLMS algorithm selects a new rate of convergence for searching and runs the computations. The adopted shunt-hybrid APF (SHAPF) consists of an APF and a series of 7th tuned passive filter connected to each phase. The performance of the proposed ADALINE-VSSLLMS control algorithm employed for SHAPF is analyzed through a simulation in a MATLAB/Simulink environment. Experimental results of a real-time prototype validate the efficacy of the proposed control algorithm.

NAC Measurement Technique on High Parallelism Probe Card with Protection Resistors

  • In this paper, a novel time-domain measurement technique on a high parallelism probe card with protection resistors installed is proposed. The measured signal amplitude decreases when the measurement is performed by Needle Auto Calibration (NAC) probing on a high parallelism probe card with installed resistors. Therefore, the original signals must be carefully reconstructed, and the compensation coefficient, which is related to the number of channel branches and the value of protection resistors, must be introduced. The accuracy of the reconstructed signals is analyzed based on the varying number of channel branches and various protection resistances. The results demonstrate that the proposed technique is appropriate for evaluating the overall signal performance of probe cards with Automatic Test Equipment (ATE), which enhances the efficiency of probe card performance test dramatically.

  • 본 논문에서는 LCCL-S 보상 네트워크를 적용한 IPT 시스템의 결합 계수 증가에 따른 출력 전압 대응 방안에 대하여 비교 분석한다. LCCL-S 보상 네트워크는 정전압 출력 특성을 나타내며 출력 부하 범위에서 주파수 가변 범위가 작고, 상대적으로 bifurcation에서 자유로운 장점을 가진다. 하지만 결합 계수가 증가함에 따라 출력 전압이 지나치게 증가할 수 있다. 출력 전압 증가 문제 해결을 위하여 본 논문에서는, 고정격 소자를 이용하는 방법과 위상천이 기법을 활용하는 방법을 제시하고 이를 시뮬레이션을 통해 검증한다.

  • Effects of CaO on microwave dielectric properties of (Ba, Pb)O-Nd2O3-TiO2 ceramic ystem were investigated. As the content of CaO increases, the sintered bulk density decreases due to the decrease of sinterability. However, with increasing the sintering tmperature, the relative dielectric constants increases. This has been attributed on the formation of the 2nd phase inclusion, TiO2(rutile). The Q values increase due to the compensation effect of Ca ions up to 1 wt%, and then decrease due to the interfacial relaxation effects. The temperature coefficient of resonance frequency increases to a positive direction with increasing the amounts of CaO.
