  • Acceleration time history used in the seismic analysis of nuclear porter plant structure should envelop a target power spectral density (PSD) function in addition to design response spectrum. Current regulation guide defines the target PSD function only for the U.S. URC RG 1.60 Design Response Spectrum. This paper proposes a technical scheme to obtain the target PSD function compatible with generally defined design response spectrum. The scheme includes the methodology for design-spectrum compatible motion history in order to minimize the variation of the derived target PSD function. The PSD calculation procedure follows simple and practical methods allowed within regulation. Effectiveness of the proposed scheme is identified through an example problem. The design response spectrum In the example is based on U.S. NRC RG 1.60 but amplifies the spectral acceleration amplitudes above 9Hz. The target PSD function with little variation can be constructed with the reduced time history ensemble.

  • This study describes a generation of artificial earthquake wane compatible with seismic design spectrum. In seismic response analysis of building structures, the input ground accelerations have considerable effect on dynamic characteristics of structures. Therefore, it is important to properly select input ground motions for seismic response analysis. In this paper, the artificial earthquake wave are generated according to previously recorded earthquake waves in past earthquake events. The artificial wave have identical phase angles to the recorded earthquake wane, and their overall response spectra are compatible with seismic design spectrum with 5% of critical viscous damping. Each simulated earthquake wave has a identical phase angles to the original recorded ground acceleration, and match to design response spectra in the range of period from 0.02 to 10.0 seconds. It is concluded that the artificial earthquake waves simulated in this paper ate applicable as input ground motions for a seismic response analysis of building structures.

  • In this paper, we prove common fixed point theorems for six weakly compatible mappings in G-fuzzy metric spaces introduced by Sun and Yang [16] which is actually generalization of G-metric spaces. G-metric spaces coined by Mustafa and Sims [13]. The paper concerns our sustained efforts for the materialization of G-fuzzy metric spaces and their properties. We also exercise the concept of symmetric G-fuzzy metric space, 𝜙-function and weakly compatible mappings. The results present in this paper generalize the well-known comparable results in the literature. We justify our results by suitable examples. Some applications are also given in support of our results.

  • In the present paper, we prove common fixed point theorems for a pair of weakly compatible mappings under implicit contractive relation in quasi-partial Sb-metric spaces. We also provide an illustrative example to support our results. Furthermore, we will use the results obtained for application to two boundary value problems for the second-order differential equation. Also, we prove a common solution for the nonlinear fractional differential equation.

  • In this article, we shall prove a common fixed point theorem for two weakly compatible self-maps 𝒫 and 𝔔 on a dislocated metric space (M, d*) satisfying the following ξ-weakly expansive condition: d*(𝒫c, 𝒫d) ≥ d* (𝔔c, 𝔔d) + ξ(∧(𝔔c, 𝔔d)), ∀ c, d ∈ M, where $${\wedge}(Qc,\;Qd)=max\{d^*(Qc,\;Qd),\;d^*(Qc,\;\mathcal{P}c),\;d^*(Qd,\;\mathcal{P}d),\;\frac{d^*(Qc,\;\mathcal{P}c){\cdot}d^*(Qd,\;\mathcal{P}d)}{1+d^*(Qc,\;Qd)},\;\frac{d^*(Qc,\;\mathcal{P}c){\cdot}d^*(Qd,\;\mathcal{P}d)}{1+d^*(\mathcal{P}c,\;\mathcal{P}d)}\}$$. Also, we have proved common fixed point theorems for the above mentioned weakly compatible self-maps along with E.A. property and (CLR) property. An illustrative example is also provided to support our results.

  • In this paper, a pair of ω-compatible self mappings in the setting of modular G-metric space is defined. We prove the existence and uniqueness of common fixed point of pairs of ω-compatible self mappings in a G-complete modular G-metric space. Furthermore, we give an example to justify our claims. The results established in this paper extend, improve, generalize and complement some existing results in literature.

  • This study evaluated the effect of 3 different compatible screws on the detorque values in a multiple implant-supported superstructure and single implant abutments. An implant superstructure directly connected to 4 implants was screwed to 6 experimental dental stone casts made by acrylic resin splinted impressions, using 20 Ncm. The detorque values of screws were measured twice. Three compatible abutment screws used in this study were TorqTite screw, Gold-Tite screw, and, Titanium screw. And, using single implant abutments (GoldAdapt Engaging abutments), the detorque values of 3 different screws were measured twice on 2 implants of 5 experimental casts. According to statistical analysis of detorque values using mixed model at a .05 level of significance, no statistically significant differences among 3 different compatible screws were found in a multiple implant-supported superstructure (p>0.05). But, in single implant abutments, statistically significant differences among 3 different compatible screws were found (p=0.0175). The detorque values of TorqTite(p=0.0462) and Titanium(p=0.0348) screws were significantly higher than those of Gold-Tite screw, but no statisticantly significantlydifferences were found between TorqTite and Titanium screws(p>0.05). Therefore, various compatible screws showed significant effects on the detorque values for single implant abutment, but, showed no significant effects for a multiple implant-supported superstructure.

Our result extend, generalized and fuzzify several fixed point theo-rems on metric space.

  • The paper studies an existence problem of a (generalized) universal covering space over a digital wedge with a compatible adjacency. In algebraic topology it is well-known that a connected, locally path connected, semilocally simply connected space has a universal covering space. Unlike this property, in digital covering theory we need to investigate its digital version which remains open.
