In general, metallic bio-materials is more widely used in solid tissue like bone or tooth than flexible tissue such as skin or muscle. Especially, Cobalt Chrome Molybdenum(Co-Cr-Mo), which is used in tooth surgery, has a great corrosion resistance. Because this bio-material is non-toxic in human body, and has a bio-compatibility that the vital reaction is not occurred with tissue in body. However the chemical reaction is occurred by fatal matter that deteriorate the property of material surface in conventional polishing, and it can affect to fatal disease in human body or decrease the material properties such as hardness, yield strength or bio-compatibility. This surface in poor condition can cause development of corrosion or bacteria. In this study, MR fluid polishing is used to minimize the scratch, pit or surface flaws generated in conventional polishing. Surface roughness is measured according to the polishing condition to obtain fine surface condition.

Pre-construction primer (PCP), or shopprimer, have been applied to steel plates to control temporary corrosion during ship fabrication. For surface preparation at ship block stage, in common shipyard practices, welding beads, burnt and rusted areas shall be blasted or power tool cleaned and the contamination such as zinc salt shall be removed with blasting or power tool. Whereas, the sound film of PCP needs not to be removed or roughened as the paint having good compatibility with PCP is used for the first coat. In many cases, however, full blasting or sweep blasting on the sound PCP treated block assemblies was requested. There still has been argument about the legitimacy of this practice, thus, it is critical to evaluate the quality of the coating system applied on the sound PCP retained condition, comparing with the one applied on the full blasted or sweep blasted condition. In this study, two different epoxy systems for water ballast tank were applied on the surfaces with sound PCP condition, full blasted condition, and sweep blasted condition. Coating performances such as durability, anti-corrosion, cathodic disbondment resistance were evaluated. The test results clearly indicated that the sound film of PCP needed not to be removed or roughened as the paint having good compatibility with PCP based on inorganic zinc silicate.

In this paper, we prove some fixed point theorems for some weaker forms of compatibility satisfying a contractive condition of integral type on d-complete Hausdorff topological spaces. Our results extend and generalize some well known previous results.

It is suggested in this paper that an elastic lever may be used as a mechanical network element having mutual spring. The cantilever spring is examined as an example of the elastic lever, and the spring compliances, compatibility condition and design procedure of the cantilever spring are briefly investigated.

Environmental tests should be carried out to show that design performance is in an operational condition in an actual operational environment to assure maintainability and reliability. Aero-products electromagnetic compatibility tests are performed mainly for the individual parts and Specifications MIL-STD-461E and RTCA DO-160E are developed for the military and commercial parts tests respectively. The MIL-STD-461E which is a military environmental test standard is targeting all munitions and that user can apply by selecting applicable requirements from this specification. On the other hand, requirements are applied exclusively for the Avionics Equipments in commercial test standard.

Synthetic and biosynthetic vascular grafts of small diameter have long been considered to be prone to thrombosis, ultimately leading to the complete graft occlusion. Endothelial cell seeding onto synthetic blood-contacting surfaces has been suggested to be an ideal means to solve this problem. This study described a culture method of bovine endothelial cells and evaluated blood-compatibility and seeding efficiency of cultured endothelial cells. Bovine pulmonary artery endothelial cells were harvested enzymatically and grown to confluence on polystyrene culture flask surfaces using established techniques. The identification of endothelial cells was made through the demonstration of expression of factor VIII R:Ag by immunofluorescent technique. To quantitate the effect of improvement in blood-compatibility of viable endothelial cells, endothelial monolayers were exposed to blood containing $\^$111/In-oxine labeled platelets. Viable endothelial monolayers retained less labeled platelets than control surfaces. The Indium-labeled endothelial cells were seeded onto three different blood-contacting surfaces of Dacron vascular graft immobilized in specially equipped wells and incubated for specific time intervals (t=15, 30, 60, 120 minutes). Longer incubation times showed improved cell adherence in collagen-coated and fibrin-coated Dacron vascular graft groups. However in untreated Dacron grafts, no direct relationship was observed between incubation time and endothelial cell seeding efficiency. This may be due to leakage of endothelial cells through porosity of Dacron grafts in this in-vitro experimental condition.

The purpose of this study is to identify the factors of benefits sought and rental intension based on the rental experience of clothing. To collect the data, 520 sheets of questionnaires, mostly self-administered, were used. And they were analyzed by SPSS(Ver. 10.0): frequencies, percentage, mean, factor analysis, ANOVA, and stepwise multiple regression. The results are as follows: 1. The most frequently-rented clothing items include a wedding dress and a graduation gown. The respondents were divided into 3 groups based on the rental experience: the light-experienced, the medium-experienced, and the heavy-experienced; 2. Factors of benefits sought in rental clothing include wearer compatibility, reasonability, condition compatibility, space saving, and conformity, and the total variance is 64.61%; 3. The heavy-experienced group tends to pursue wearer compatibility, reasonability, space saving, and conformity. The elder housewives with higher education who spend much on clothing belong to that group. The light-experienced includes male university students who do not spend much on clothing, and the medium-experienced includes elder employees; 4. Reasonability and clothing rental experience significantly affect rental intention, and their influence is 14.20%.

The aim of this paper is to define a new commutativity condition for a pair of self mappings i.e., (DS)-weak commutativity condition, which is weaker that compatibility of mappings in the settings of intuitionistic Menger spaces. We show that a common fixed point theorem can be proved for nonlinear contractive condition in intuitionistic Menger spaces without assuming continuity of any mapping. To prove the result we use (DS)-weak commutativity condition for mappings. We also give examples to validate our results.

We study the compatibility conditions and the existence of solutions or overdetermined PDE systems that admit complete prolongation. For a complete system of order k there exists a submanifold of the ($\kappa$-1)st jet space of unknown functions that is the largest possible set on which the initial conditions of ($\kappa$-1)st order may take values. There exists a unique solution for any initial condition that belongs to this set if and only if the complete system satisfies the compatibility conditions on the initial data set. We prove by applying the Frobenius theorem to a Pfaffian differential system associated with the complete prolongation.
