  • In this study, the strap down INS on an earth satellite launch vehicle is simulated with different computing cycles between processing the IMU signals and the navigation computation. At the time of separation of booster, error are discussed. The acceptable computing cycles can be determined by simulation.

  • In this paper, we obtain some a, pp.oximate confidence intervals for the reliability of the stress-strength model when the stress and strength each depend on some explanatory variables, respectively. Also we compare the confidence intervals via Monte Carlo simulation.

  • In this paper, we propose regression estimators based on a partial replacement sampling scheme over two successive occasions and derive the minimum variances of them. PPSWR, RHC, $\pi$PS and PPSWOR schemes are considered to select unequal probability samples on two occasions. Simulation results over four populations are given for comparison of composite estimators and regression estimators.

  • This paper describes the design and implementation of an intelligent controller for continuous casting process. The proposed controller adopted a fuzzy control with feedback linearization. The simulation result shows that proposed intelligent controller is superior to the conventional PID controller.

  • Latin hypercube sampling(LHS) introduced by McKay et al. (1979) is a widely used method for Monte Carlo integration. Stratified Latin hypercube sampling(SLHS) proposed by Choi and Lee(1993) improves LHS by combining it with stratified sampling. In this article it is shown that SLHS yields an asymptotically more accurate than both stratified sampling and LHS.

  • We suggest a functional technique with loess smoothing for estimating the change-point when there is one change-point in the mean model. The proposed change-point estimator is consistent. Simulation study shows a good performance of the proposed change-point estimator in comparison with other parametric or nonparametric change-point estimators.
