MANET에 의한 신뢰성 높은 다중 경로 프로토콜 (Highly-reliable Multi-path Protocol by MANET)

  • MANET(Mobile Ad-hoc Network) 내에서는 노드는 자유롭게 이동하나 에너지 제약을 가지며 이러한 특징이 네트워크 회선 단절을 유발한다. 따라서 MANET을 적용하여 유비쿼터스 서비스를 수행할 경우에는 노드의 이동성에 따른 토폴로지 변경에 유연하게 적응하면서 동시에 연속적인 패킷 전송이 가능하도록 패킷의 전송률을 향상시키는 기법이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점의 해결을 위해 PAOMDV(Possibility based AOMDV)와 OLSR-ME(OLSR with Modify Energy Efficiency)를 동시에 적용한 혼합형 프로토콜을 제안한다. 특히 모바일 에드 혹 네트워크를 클러스터로 구분함으로써 PAOMDV는 클러스터 간 통신을 담당하고 OLSR-ME는 클러스터 내부 통신을 담당하도록 구현하였다. 또한 홉 수가 증가하는 경우에도 기존 프로토콜보다 더 효율적인 프로토콜을 설계하기 위해 패킷 전달을 책임질 포워딩 노드 선택 알고리즘도 제안한다. 제안한 프로토콜을 기존의 프로토콜인 AODV, AOMDV, ZRP와 비교 실험하고 그 성능을 검증하였다. 실험 결과, 제안 프로토콜이 패킷 전송률, 전송 지연, 라우팅 오버헤드에서 기존 프로토콜 보다 우수함을 확인하였다.

아토피 피부염의 한의학적 치료에 대한 연구 동향 -대한한방소아과학회지를 중심으로- (Research Trends of the Traditional Korean Medicine Treatment for Atopic Dermatitis -Based on the Journal of Pediatrics of Korean Medicine-)

  • Objectives The goal of this review was to investigate clinical, experimental and literature studies of Korean medicine on atopic dermatitis (AD) of Korean children in Korean medicine literature, seeking for the better research methods for more effective treatments. Methods Electronic investigations were practiced on AKOP (The Association of Korean Oriental Pediatrics, http://www.akop.or.kr) to collect theses which were published by J Pediatr Korean Med. The key word 'Atopy' was used for searching to ensure that every related thesis was collected. The publication date was limited from 1996 to 2016. The selected literatures were assessed mainly according to distributions of study type, publication year, scale, treatment and its efficacy. Results 55 papers were selected from 59 studies. In these collected 55 related theses, there were 29 experimental studies (52.73%), 18 clinical studies (32.73%), 8 review studies (14.55%). In the 29 experimental studies, there were 20 studies (68.97%) using NC/Nga mouse as subjects. The mite antigen was used to trigger AD by 8 studies (27.59%). The studies have been utilizing DNCB and DNFB instead of mite antigen since 2011. All the experimental studies showed that the Korean medicine was effective in AD. In total 18 clinical studies, 3 studies (16.67%) were case reports, only 1 thesis (5.56%) was conducted by case control study and the rest were case series studies. 7 studies (38.89%) of 18 studies diagnosed AD according to Hanifin and Rajka's diagnostic criteria (1980), only 1 study (5.56%) according to the Korean standard and the rest 10 studies (55.56%) didn't mention diagnostic criteria. 12 clinical studies (66.67%) showed efficacy in treating AD. There were 10 studies (55.56%) only employing internal treatments and 1 thesis (5.56%) didn't mention the exact prescription. Naesowhajungtang-kamibang, Saenghyeoryunbue-um were used 3 times (16.67%) as the internal medicine respectively. 5 theses (27.78%) were combined with acupuncture therapy. Hegu (LI4), Sanyinjiao (SP6) were used in 4 theses, and Taichong (LR3), Quchi (LI11), Zusanli (ST36) in 3 theses. The number of acupoints chosen from The Spleen meridian of Foot-Taiyin was the largest. There were 8 review theses. 2 were about the foreign oriental medicine, 3 were about the external medicine or external treatment methods, and 3 other studies were about severity scoring systems, the methodological study in the latest clinical study, overview for pattern and results of herbal medicine-derived AD clinical researches. Conclusions The experimental studies and clinical studies showed the effectiveness of Korean medicine treatments. However, this study still needs improving by conducting more comparative studies and using better research methods, in order to find more effective treatments to improve clinical efficacy.

형방지황탕(荊防地黃湯)과 십이미관중탕(十二味寬中湯)이 Glycerol로 유발된 흰쥐의 급성신부전에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Hyeongbangjihwang-tang and Sibimikwanjung-tang in Glycerol-Induced Renal Failure in Rats)

Objective : The present author have examined the comparative effects of Hyeongbangjihwang-tang and Sibimikwanjung-tang in glycerol-induced acute renal failure, a model for myoglobinuric acute renal failure. 2. Methods : Above two prescriptions were applied to rat ad libitum and serum level of creatinine, glucose and blood urea nitrogen(BUN) were measured. And serum level of $Na^+$, $K^+$ and $Cl^-$, too. 50%(vol/vol) glycerol at a dose of 10 ml/kg of rat body weight intramuscularly and 1% concentration of prescriptions were applied to rats for 7 days ad libitum. 3. Results : Serum level of creatinine and $K^+$ significantly increased by glycerol injection, and these showed pre-renal and renal cause of acute renal failure. Hyeongbangjihwang-tang administered group showed decreasing tendency on serum level of creatinine when compared with control groups, but not significant. Sibimikwanjung-tang administered group showed significant increase of serum level of BUN when compared with control groups. 4. Conclusions : Above two prescriptions showed no significant changes on glycerol induced acute renal failure, but Hyeongbangjihwang-tang and Sibimikwanjung-tang showed a little different manner of response.

MANET에서 스카이라인 질의를 위한 효과적인 필터링 방법 (An Effective Filtering Method for Skyline Queries in MANETs)

  • 본 연구에서는 MANET(Mobile Ad hoc NETwork) 환경에서 스카이라인 질의를 하기 위한 효과적인 필터링 방법을 제안한다. 기존의 MANET 환경에서의 스카이라인 질의 처리는 데이터가 균등하게 분포한다고 가정한다. 이러한 가정하에서 제한된 배터리 용량을 위한 에너지 소모 최소화에 중점을 두어 스카이라인 질의를 처리하는 방법을 연구한다. 그러나 실제 환경에서는 특정한 영역에 데이터가 편향되는 분포를 가진다. 배터리의 에너지 소비를 감소하기 위해서 본 논문에서는 데이터 분포를 고려한 새로운 필터링 방법을 제안한다. 그리고 기존의 필터링 방법과 본 논문에서 제안하는 필터링 방법을 비교 실험한다. 실험 결과는 본 논문에서 제안하는 방법이 기존의 방법보다 통신 오버헤드와 실행시간이 감소하는 것을 보여준다.

A Comparative Study of Alzheimer's Disease Classification using Multiple Transfer Learning Models

  • Over the past decade, researchers were able to solve complex medical problems as well as acquire deeper understanding of entire issue due to the availability of machine learning techniques, particularly predictive algorithms and automatic recognition of patterns in medical imaging. In this study, a technique called transfer learning has been utilized to classify Magnetic Resonance (MR) images by a pre-trained Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). Rather than training an entire model from scratch, transfer learning approach uses the CNN model by fine-tuning them, to classify MR images into Alzheimer's disease (AD), mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and normal control (NC). The performance of this method has been evaluated over Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging (ADNI) dataset by changing the learning rate of the model. Moreover, in this study, in order to demonstrate the transfer learning approach we utilize different pre-trained deep learning models such as GoogLeNet, VGG-16, AlexNet and ResNet-18, and compare their efficiency to classify AD. The overall classification accuracy resulted by GoogLeNet for training and testing was 99.84% and 98.25% respectively, which was exceptionally more than other models training and testing accuracies.

아이폰 기반의 이동로봇 시뮬레이터 개발 (Development of a Simulator for a Mobile Robot Based on iPhone)

  • 본 논문은 애드혹 통신을 기반으로 아이폰의 가속도 센서를 사용하여 이동로봇을 무선 제어하는 연구에 대하여 다룬다. 이동로봇을 아이폰으로 무선제어하기 위한 방법으로 사용자 원격제어와 자율제어 방법이 제안되었다. 궤적 추종제어 알고리즘의 효율성을 평가하기 위하여 아이폰의 인터페이스를 기반으로 모니터에 그려진 궤적을 가상로봇이 추종하는 시뮬레이터를 개발하였다. 제안된 시뮬레이터에서는 궤적 추종제어를 위해 이동로봇을 제어할 때 컴퓨터에서 해당 알고리즘을 이용하여 미리 시뮬레이션이 가능하며 사용자에 의한 원격제어와의 결과 비교도 보여준다. 연구의 결과로 제안된 시뮬레이터가 이동로봇에 자율이동제어 방법을 사용할 때, 자율추종 알고리즘의 적합성과 효율성을 미리 검사 하는데 사용될 수 있음을 보여준다.

Complete Sequence Analysis of a Korean Isolate of Chinese Yam Necrotic Mosaic Virus and Generation of the Virus Specific Primers for Molecular Detection

  • Chinese yam necrotic mosaic virus (CYNMV) is one of the most widespread viruses in Chinese yam (Dioscorea opposita Thunb.) and causes serious yield losses. Currently, genetic information of CYNMV is very restricted and complete genome sequences of only two isolates (one from Japan and another from China) have been reported. In this study, we determined complete genome sequence of the CYNMV isolate AD collected from Andong, Korea. Genetic analysis of the polyprotein amino acid sequence revealed that the Korean isolate AD has high similarity with the Japanese isolate PES3 (97%) but relatively low similarity with the Chinese isolate FX1 (78%). Phylogenetic analysis using the CYNMV 3' proximal nucleotide sequences harboring the coat protein and 3' untranslated region further supported genetic relationship among the CYNMV isolates. Based on comparative analysis of the CYNMV genome sequences determined in this study and other previous studies, we generated molecular detection primers that are highly specific and efficient for CYNMV diagnosis.

Mobile Ad Hoc Network에서 분산 모니터링을 이용한 향상된 침입탐지 기법 연구 (A Study on Improved Intrusion Detection Technique Using Distributed Monitoring in Mobile Ad Hoc Network)

  • MANET composed of only wireless nodes is increasingly utilized in various fields. However, it is exposed to many security vulnerabilities because it doesn't have any infrastructure and transmits data by using multi-hop method. Therefore, MANET should be applied the intrusion detection technique that can detect efficiently malicious nodes and decrease impacts of various attacks. In this paper, we propose a distributed intrusion detection technique that can detect the various attacks while improving the efficiency of attack detection and reducing the false positive rate. The proposed technique uses the cluster structure to manage the information in the center and monitor the traffic of their neighbor nodes directly in all nodes. We use three parameters for attack detection. We also applied an efficient authentication technique using only key exchange without the help of CA in order to provide integrity when exchanging information between cluster heads. This makes it possible to free the forgery of information about trust information of the nodes and attack nodes. The superiority of the proposed technique can be confirmed through comparative experiments with existing intrusion detection techniques.

THERA: Two-level Hierarchical Hybrid Road-Aware Routing for Vehicular Networks

  • There are various research challenges in vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs) that need to be focused until an extensive deployment of it becomes conceivable. Design and development of a scalable routing algorithm for VANETs is one of the critical issue due to frequent path disruptions caused by the vehicle's mobility. This study aims to provide a novel road-aware routing protocol for vehicular networks named as Two-level hierarchical Hybrid Road-Aware (THERA) routing for vehicular ad hoc networks. The proposed protocol is designed explicitly for inter-vehicle communication. In THERA, roads are distributed into non-overlapping road segments to reduce the routing overhead. Unlike other protocols, discovery process does not flood the network with packet broadcasts. Instead, THERA uses the concept of Gateway Vehicles (GV) for the discovery process. In addition, a route between source and destination is flexible to changing topology, as THERA only requires road segment ID and destination ID for the communication. Furthermore, Road-Aware routing reduces the traffic congestion, bypasses the single point of failure, and facilitates the network management. Finally yet importantly, this paper also proposes a probabilistical model to estimate a path duration for each road segment using the highway mobility model. The flexibility of the proposed protocol is evaluated by performing extensive simulations in NS3. We have used SUMO simulator to generate real time vehicular traffic on the roads of Gangnam, South Korea. Comparative analysis of the results confirm that routing overhead for maintaining the network topology is smaller than few previously proposed routing algorithms.

  • The development of USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network) technology is creating numerous application areas. Although a network configuration with fixed sensors was the norm in the past, the coexistence of mobile and fixed sensor nodes is a new trend. Fixed sensor networks focused on the energy efficiency of nodes, but the latest studies consider guaranteeing the mobility of nodes and maintaining their connectivity, while remaining energy efficient at the same time. This paper proposes a routing protocol for a mobile ad-hoc sensor network that improves the mobility, connectivity and energy efficiency of nodes while allowing for the management and maintenance of a large number of nodes even in a complex communication environment where mobile and fixed nodes coexist. An algorithm for multi-hop multi-paths, a technique for topology reconfiguration by node movement prediction and vibration sensors, path setting for a large number of nodes, and efficient data transfer technology have been introduced to implement the modified LEAHC-AOMDV protocol. Furthermore, the excellence of this protocol was verified through a comparative experiment with the conventional LEACH protocol.
