  • By the developing of Internet. the environments of the company have rapidly been changed. Especially. managers in the Internet shoppingmall have been try to provide excellent e-Services to their customers. e-Service i~ defined comprised of all interactive services that are delivered on the Internet uSing advanced telecommunications. information, and multimedia technologies. but according to study of e-Satisfy. com[2000]. customer service through internet is still neither effective nor efficient and poor service will impact on company's profit but excellent service can improve their value and quality of the service or product. In order to customer-oriented e-Services. this study suggested the QFD linked with e-Service quality model for the Internet shoppingmall service system. which can help determine design characteristics being relevant to customer's e-Service quality requirements. this hybrid model have two stages. In the first stage. we do measure service quality and find priorities of service quality attribute by purchase process. and in the second stage. on the basis of priority of e-Service quality attributes, we find design characteristics to maximize customer satisfaction. From this study, we provide internet shoppingmall managers with the implications for improvement of service quality, measuring quality of e-service, providing design characteristics for customer-oriented service quality.

  • According to the recent trends which are the diversity of customer requests and the multi-function of buildings, A construction company's business has converted from the producer-oriented approach to the consumer-oriented approach. Therefore, each construction company is continuously trying to improve the quality level as a way of corresponding to customer needs in these changing situations. The quality is one of the main management targets which judge the success of a project along with the schedule, the cost and the safety. As construction companies execute the quality management which they aimed at, it should be completed within the optimum schedule and the limit of the budget. Accordingly, the importance of the construction site management to complete a project is continuously increasing. The construction site management is the systematic method to perform the project goals such as the quality improvement, the cost saving and the safety management, which organically operate one another, by procuring the manpower, the material and the machine in the right time. Specially, as the construction industry has based on the construction site, the establish of systematic construction site management, which can effectively correspond sudden changes of the construction business environment, is essential to maximize the construction productivity. On top of that, the necessity of the quality management method is increasing to accommodate customer needs more spontaneously in the construction site. These endeavors could guarantee their competitive power.

Influence of R&D Employees' Social Network and Self-Esteem on Organizational Commitment and Career Orientation (R&D 인력의 사회적 네트워크와 자아존중감이 조직몰입과 경력지향성에 미치는 영향)

  • The effective management of R&D employees is critical for a small or medium sized firm's sustainable growth. R&D employees have professional skills and choose expertise-oriented or management-oriented careers in the process of organizational socialization. This study synthetically verifies the direct and indirect effects of R&D employees' social network and self-esteem on their career orientation by organizational commitment based on social network theory and social recognition theory. The research model has been analyzed through structural equation modeling using survey responses from 220 R&D employees at small- and medium-sized firms in Korea. The analysis results show that internal network activities have direct and indirect impacts on organizational commitment and career orientation, but external network activities do not have significant effects on self-esteem, organizational commitment, or career orientation. There is no consensus in prior studies on whether expert orientation and management orientation are distinct concepts. In this study, these two types of orientation are verified as distinct concepts. It is also found that R&D employees' internal network activities are significant factors for a company's growth. A company should implement an educational system of roles and duties using which individuals can pursue career progression. In addition, it is necessary to provide career development programs such as job rotation, mentoring, and career counseling.

  • Among recent management innovation activities of companies, one of the most important competitive advantage through customer satisfaction, and to which members of the organization's service orientation is essential. The company's service orientation is closely related to the organization's culture. In this study, the organization's service-oriented culture, the internal service quality, job satisfaction and organizational commitment, and ultimately affects the employee's influence on customer orientation will look at that. Results and implications of this study can be summarized as follows. the internal service quality among the factors tangibles, assurance, empathy, job satisfaction showed a significant influence on the type of empathy and emotional commitment castle had a significant impact on. With these results, relationships with colleagues within the organization, such as work environment and job satisfaction and emotional commitment, the atmosphere is very important to know that you can affect. Therefore, the members of the company to increase job satisfaction and organizational commitment, corporate culture, business as well as collaboration with colleagues to share the emotional atmosphere of sympathy for the business environment will get improved.

A Study on the Current Trend of Special Exhibition Home and Abroad (국내.외 전문전시 동향에 관한 고찰)

  • The exhibition activity that a company is rendering to their consumers for the purpose of advertisement, sales promotion and enhancement of company inage get more and more internationalized and specialized. A company is changing from mass production system to small quantity production of various kinds to meet consumer's individualization and differentiation. Also, a company is experiencing a major change in their marketing strategy. As the society is entering on Information Age, the contents that a company intends to give consumer may be different individually. If a consumer is informed wrong information of the goods, a company needs a place to meet consumer face to face where the consumer feels and understands the substance of the goods. This is the current characteristics of Exhibition Media. Based on the result of the current Special Exhibition home and abroad along with background and characteristics of special Exhibition, this study sets a following task reflecting the general trend of social, cultural and economic atmosphere. First, Current Exhibition Industry will be diversified into more Specialized Exhibition, while our Exhibition Industry is very shaky under severe international competition. Also, Exhibition Plan that involves with architecture, interior, graphic, industrial design and advertisement, etc., needs international competitiveness while enhancing identity of Exhibition Plan along with comprehensive marketing strategy in the future. Second, Among most of the local special Exhibitions which invite the general public are normally invited for company public relation contrary to those of U.S.A. and Europe. This signifies of our industrial and social structure's by-product. As the future exhibition become Information Com$$\mu$ication Exhibition which requires specialized technical explanation, the correct description of the goods should be set as a Judgement basis of Exhibition Plan. Third, In parallel with increase of the Exhibition, the equipment expenses of a company goes up continuously. In view of this, a study $$\mu$t be oriented for re-use and curtailment of expenditure of those equipment. Also, as the use of Assembly System B on the rise as a result of diversification of special Exhibition, a study on the development of new material & design for Exhibition Equipment only B required.

Development of Product Specification Management System for Product Data Integration Framework in Customer-Oriented Manufacturing Enterprise (고객지향 수주생산 기업에서 제품정보 통합체계를 위한 제품사양관리시스템 구축)

  • In recent, a general trend is observed towards more customized products and shorter product life cycles in manufacturing companies. In these companies, customers often wish to influence the product they order and to get a variant of product that meets their requirements. This environment is called as a customer-oriented manufacturing companies. This paper presents a procedure of product specification management for customer-oriented manufacturing companies by using product specification framework. This framework is founded on the product specification based product structure which is made of model, specification, function, and part. Also, a product specification management system(PSMS) is implemented by using the proposed product specification framework and is a core system in product data integration system. To illustrate an utilization of the proposed framework and procedure, a case of a ship engine product is applied. As a result, PSMS reduces delivery time and improves customer relationships. Moreover, the case shows that PSMS can be used as a tool for improving inter-department coordination within a company during product life cycle.

  • In recent studies, there has been much interest in knowledge sharing between the company and customer. Yet, there is little empirical work on the impact of the factors on CRM performances. The purpose of this study is empirically analyzing the effects of organizational factors of knowledge management, CRM system factors, and trust on CRM performances. The findings indicate that 3 factors (knowledge-oriented organizational culture/characteristic, technical systems, trust) are significantly related to CRM performances. However, the relationships between other factors (knowledge-oriented leadership, knowledge-oriented strategy, education & reward) and CRM performances are not significant.

  • According to Klempa(1995), the fit between environmental factors of a company may have the impact on its BPC success. Under this background, this paper empirically examines the effects of the fit between the organizational culture and the organizational learning the success of BPC. Organizational cultures, organizational learning, as well as knowledge sharing are the dominant causes that have impact on the innovation characters of organization. Whether an organization has safety-oriented homogeneous culture or it has the change-oriented heterogeneous culture may have impact on its implementation of BPC. Also the implementation of BPC may be affected by whether an organizational learning type has adaptive-oriented learning is single loop or it has the innovative-oriented learning is double loop. Thus, we analyzed the effect of the fit between the organization's culture and organizational learning type on BPC success by using the survey data collected from the companies that have adopted BPC. The findings presented in this paper show that the organization having heterogeneous culture practicing double loop learning the improvement project resulted in the excellent BPC success. These findings provide the perceptive guidelines for managers of organizations contemplating the implementation of BPC project.

The Influence of R&D Researchers' Perfectionism on Burnout: Focusing on the Mediated Effect of Self-Efficacy (R&D 연구원의 완벽주의가 소진에 미치는 영향: 자기효능감의 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • This study understood the influence of the company R&D researchers' perfectionism on burnout, and also verified if self-efficacy shows the mediated effect in this relation. In order for this, the data was collected for 293 R&D researchers of a research institute in Daejeon while the structural equation was used for hypothesis verification. In the results of analyzing the survey data, self-oriented perfectionism and self-efficacy had negative correlations with burnout while socially-oriented perfectionism showed positive correlation with burnout. Also it was found that self-efficacy mediated in the influence of self-oriented perfectionism on burnout. In case of socially-oriented perfectionism, however, the mediated effect of self-efficacy was not significant while having direct influence on burnout. Such study results show that self-oriented perfectionism and confidence in self ability that sets up goals and carries out things have positive influence on decreasing burnout. In order to decrease burnout, it would be necessary to cognize that the expectation of perfection is the goal for myself, rather than the one by others.

IMS지향성과 기업문화 적합도가 IMS활동의 이행수준과 성과에 미치는 영향

  • With a sample of 147 Korean small and medium size companies, this study examined the relationships among degree of information orientation, corporate culture, degree of information management implementation and selected business performances in the process of implementing IMS improvement programs, such as IMS(Information Management System). Information orientation is defined as company-wide understanding and implementation of the underlying philosophy, principles, approached, and tools of information improvement programs. It is assumed that successful implementation of information improvement programs requires a information-oriented mind-set of the employees. The key elements of information orientation include continious improvement structured processes, organixation-wide participation and customer-focused spirit. Culture id defined as the value and beliefs of em organization that shape its behavior. It is also assumed that successful implementation of information improvement programs require strong support from s corporate culture that emphasizes cintinious improvement. Adopting the competing values model of Quinn and McGrath(1985), corporate culture is classified into 'flexible' versus 'controlled culture' and 'outer-directed' versus 'inner-directed culture'. Fitness was defined through the relationship between levels of information oriented and types of corporate culture. The results were as follows. First, it was found that when a company with high information orientation promoted information innovation programs, such as IMS, it reported higher degree of information management implementation and improvement in business performances. Second, the results showed the importance of 'flexible culture' and 'outer-directed culture' in performing information, innovation. Regarding the types of corporate culture, the analysis found that developmental culture, rational culture and group culture were effective. Third, companies with high information oriented and flexible culture or companies with high information orientation and outer-directed culture reported the highest implementation in Information management activities. Fourth, the results showed that the level of information management implementation had a mediating effect on the relationship between information orientation and business performance. It was also found that enhanced non-financial performance led to the improvement of financial performance. This study attempted to exaime the factor that lead information management program to success. In order to reach success, first, it is suggested that companies have positive mind set toward continious information improvement. Secondly, it is recommended that a flexible and outer-directed culture appropriate for continious information improvement is cultivated.
