  • This paper aims to empirically explore how the partnership between the two industries influences on the satisfaction of ship management companies. In addition, this paper intends to provide relevant information to enhance the competitiveness of ship repair companies by revealing the causalities of variations consisting of the partnership between ship management companies and ship repair companies. It revealed what characteristics are embedded in the partnership between ship management companies, and how the consisting factors of this partnership influences on satisfaction throughout prior factors. And this paper explored the variables that influence on the satisfaction of ship repair companies.

Influence of Communication on Acquired Company Members in the PMI Process : Moderation Effect of the Business Area Consistency between Acquiring and Acquired Company (PMI과정에서 피인수기업 구성원에 대한 의사소통의 영향력 : 인수기업과 피인수기업 간의 사업영역의 일치도의 조절효과)

  • Post-merger integration(PMI) plays a very important role in the success of M&A. Therefore, based on previous studies on PMI, this study discusses the relationship between communication of acquired enterprise members and uncertainty reduction, organizational satisfaction, organizational trust in the PMI process, focusing on the moderating effect of business area consistency between the acquisition and the acquired company. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, the hypothesis of the relationship between variables was established and an empirical analysis was conducted. In order to collect data, a survey was conducted on members of the acquired company in China, and 317 questionnaires were finally collected and used for empirical analysis. For the collected data, the research hypothesis was verified using SPSS 26.0. The results of the study confirmed that communication has a positive effect on the reduction of uncertainty, job satisfaction, and organizational trust perceived by members of the acquired company, and that the consistency in business areas between the acquisition and the acquired company weakens the relationship between communication and uncertainty. In the positive relationship between communication and job satisfaction, organizational trust, the effect of strengthening the moderating variable has not been confirmed, but rather the weakening control effect was found. Based on these findings, the strategy of communicating with the members of the acquired company in the PMI process is meaningful for the success or failure of the merger and provides theoretical and practical implications for proposing differentiated human resources management measures according to M&A type.

Satisfaction Analysis of On-board Training in Shipping Companies: Impacts on Company Improvement Plans (위탁승선실습 만족도 분석을 통한 개선 방안 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the regulations and operational problems of on-board training, and to investigate and analyze the satisfaction level of consignment on-board training among students who completed their training at Korea Maritime & Ocean University. In terms of satisfaction differences by gender, female students generally had a higher relative satisfaction level than male students. The different types of satisfaction in the navigation and engineering categories, the overall practical effect and satisfaction level of the training records shows that the satisfaction level of the trainee is much lower than that of the trainee, so relevant educational institutions and shipping companies need to take measures to improve the satisfaction level of this part. The most important part of the comprehensive company evaluation completed by trainees asked whether they thought the training was equivalent in labor to the employees. Results suggest shipping companies must make a clear distinction between employees and trainees, while establishing relevant internal procedures so that the on-board training process can be carried out in accordance with the purpose of the on-board training consignment.

The Impact of Servicescapes of Global Coffee Franchise Store on Customer Satisfaction and Loyalty: The Case Study of 'C' Franchising Company in Mongolia (글로벌 커피 프랜차이즈 전문점의 서비스스케이프가 고객만족과 충성도에 미치는 영향 : 몽골의 'C' 기업의 사례 연구)

  • Purpose - Due to the increase in coffee consumption and competition, domestic coffee franchise companies are currently entering the overseas market. Therefore, coffee franchise companies are pursuing a variety of marketing strategies to meet customer needs and gain competitive advantage in overseas markets. From this perspective, overseas franchise companies need to ensure that their servicescapes meet the needs of their overseas customers. For these purposes, the study is to identify the impact servicescapes on customer satisfaction and customer loyalty focused on Global Coffee Franchise Company "C", which extended its business worldwide in Mongolia. Research design, data, and methodology - The data were collected from customers who had visited the stores of 'C' company in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. 435 valid questionnaires collected through online survey coded and analyzed using frequency, confirmatory factor analysis, correlations analysis, and structural equation modeling with SPSS 24 and SmartPLS 3.0. Result - Firstly, seating comfort, facility aesthetics, and cleanliness, ambient conditions among servicescapes influenced customer satisfaction. Secondly, servicescapes didn't affect the loyalty directly. Third, customer satisfaction had positive effect on loyalty. Fourthly, cleanliness which was ranked lower in Korea had a great effect on customer satisfaction in Mongolia. Fifthly, IPMA(Importance-performance map analysis) shows that the importance of servicescapes is higher for women than for men, and facility aesthetics for female and cleanliness is the most important for male. Conclusions - The results of this study show that there is a positive (+) effect on customer satisfaction in order of cleanliness, ambient conditions, aesthetics, and seating comfort. Therefore, franchise companies considering or advancing into Mongolia should consider importance in order of cleanliness, ambient conditions and aesthetics when entering Mongolia market. For example, franchise managers should select Monday as a "clean day," and all merchants should spend all of their open hours and keep their stores clean in accordance with the head office manual. In addition, franchise managers need to hire a VMD (visual merchandising) experts to build up a physical environment that will effectively highlight the space-specific display of the store so that Mongolian local customers can have a satisfactory climate and aesthetics. And, the IMPA analysis between servicescapes and customer satisfaction shows that women are more susceptible to servicescapes than men. Especially, in the case of women, the importance of esthetics is high, but the performance is low. Thus, if the aesthetics are actively improved, customer satisfaction can be effectively increased.

  • This study examined the relationship between the type of organizational culture and organizational commitment, job satisfaction as well as the moderate effects of shared leadership on the relationship among the organizational culture, organizational commitment, and job satisfaction at a world leading steel company 'P'. The results showed that the consensus culture and rational culture positively affect the organizational commitment, and that the developmental culture, consensus culture and rational culture positively affected the job satisfaction. The results also revealed the meaningful moderate effects of the shared leadership on the relationship between the development culture, consensus culture and job satisfaction. The suggestions were made accordingly to propose the directions to improve the organizational performance of the company that is in global competition.

The Effects of the Service Orientation on Job Satisfaction and Customer Orientation of the Urban Railway-operating Company (도시철도운영기관의 서비스지향성이 직무만족과 고객지향성에 미치는 영향)

  • This paper performed an empirical study through the survey to investigate the effects of the service orientation of the urban railway-operating company on employees' job satisfaction and customer orientation. For this, the surveyed data was analyzed through factor analysis, reliability analysis, and regression analysis. The difference between railway-operating companies was analyzed by the t-test and the differences between workers in different fields were analyzed by the ANOVA test. The results show that 1) human resource management, employee empowerment, service leadership, and service system are positively related to employees' job satisfaction in the decreasing order, 2) the service system, human resource management, and service leadership are positively related to customer orientation, but employee empowerment is negatively related to customer orientation, 3) the workers of the urban railway-operating company A and B show significant differences in job satisfaction and customer orientation, and 4) the job satisfaction and the customer orientation of the rolling stock maintenance workers was the highest and that of service workers in station was the lowest.

  • As the scale of telecommunication market extremely increases, the competition to attract consumers is being intensive among telecommunication companies. Domestic telecommunication companies try to attract consumers by better quality and service to enhance satisfaction. The scientific research to evaluate satisfaction factors and total contentment about telecommunication companies is necessary for enhancing competitiveness and added value. In this paper, we study and analyze the way to estimate the satisfaction by AHP and statistical method. Consumers will receive good quality products and service by using suggested method. Additionally, domestic telecommunication expects to ensure competitiveness globally.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to propose useful suggestions by explore the effects of the Mobile Telecommunication service quality on customer satisfaction and Customer Loyalty (Focus on Moderation effect of switching barrier) in Korea Mobile Telecommunication industry. Methods: After reviewing the literature, the structural eqation modeling(SEM) conducted by LISREL 8.53 test the research model. The data was collected from subscriber of mobile telecommunication service by the questionare in Korea. Results: The results of SEM show that Mobile Telecommunication Service Quality have a positive effect on customer satisfaction, and customer satisfaction also have a positive effect on customer loyalty. And switching barrier have a moderation effect between customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. Conclusion: Mobile Telecommunication Service Quality is highly related to Customer Satisfation and Customer Loyalty, so Mobile Telecomunication Company should improve Service Quality especially price-related service quality and process/ human- related service quality. And the company need to get higher the positive Switching Barriers in order to improve Customer Loyalty.

  • Purpose: Food delivery services are rapidly increasing due to the recent COVID-19 outbreak. This study examines how much taste, price, brand, and reliability affect the satisfaction of delivery apps and delivery companies in food delivery services, as well as its effects on repurchase intentions. Research design, data and methodology: Empirical analysis was conducted through questionnaire survey on a coffee shop that started delivery services. Reliability and validity were analyzed, and hypotheses were verified through confirmatory factor analysis, discriminant validity analysis, and path analysis using structural equation modelling. Results: The factors affecting the satisfaction of delivery apps at coffee shops were taste and brand image. Only 'taste' had a statistically significant effect on the factor that made consumers feel satisfaction. In addition, satisfaction with delivery apps of coffee shops and delivery companies had a statistically significant effect on repurchase intention. The company should focus on improving the image of the coffee application rather than the corporate image. Conclusions: Now and in the future, F&B companies will have to recognize and respond, as well as rethink on how to deliver satisfaction of delivery apps and delivery companies to consumers in the ever-increasing delivery competition. This study provides implications through satisfaction analysis of coffee delivery apps and companies.

  • In the housing market, the construction company started to recognize the importance of the brand power since 1998. Many brand names of apartment construction company have newly formed and many apartments are representative of the brands of construction company by quality of apartment construction and service after hand apartment over to owner with many other elements of their brands. According to these trends in the housing market, it should be also interested in improving the value of brand name in apartment construction. The former researches have been achieved several topics in only a specific target market about the distinction of apartment's plan, the examination of preference, and the satisfaction survey of inhabitants etc. But construction company don't have developed any available marketing strategy according to construction location and regional characteristics. Nowadays, they should be interested in improving the value of apartment brand. Therefore, this research was conducted by interviewing and surveying preference factor, which factors are considered by consumer when consumers purchase apartment house, to compare the two regions such as Metropolis and Cities. The purpose of this research is to provide the preference trend of apartment house in the future to construction company by comparing consumer's preference examination.
