반려동물병원의 고객만족경영 성공요인에 관한 연구 (Critical Factors Affecting Successful Client Satisfaction Management of Companion Animal Hospital)

  • Success of any business solely is dependant on how to satisfy clients in healthcare-related industry. In the short history of Korea pet-care industry, there were not many guidelines on client satisfaction management of companion animal hospitals. The studies on many pet healthcare facilities were conducted based on their cost-benefits and the advantages of medical operation within special features of the traditional hospital management system. However the companion animal hospitals recently need to improve the service quality and client closed communication in keen competition on pet healthcare market. This study explores client satisfaction management could be the new issue of the veterinary hospital business. And it finally suggests of the critical factors affecting successful client satisfaction management of companion animal hospital based on the eight case studies.

스마트 폰을 활용한 반려동물 관리 시스템 개발 (Implementation of Companion Animal Management System using Smartphone)

  • 본 논문에서는 반려동물에 관한 다양한 컨텐츠를 개발한 후 기존 컨텐츠들과 통합함으로서 어플리케이션의 활용분야의 폭을 넓히고자 하였다. 이를 위해 정보관리, 일정관리, 건강관리, QR코드, SNS, 쇼핑, 위치정보서비스 등 반려동물에 관련된 다양한 컨텐츠를 추가한 반려동물 관리 시스템(PET-IN)을 스마트폰에서 사용할 수 있게 개발하였다. PET-IN 사용 접근성과 만족도 실험결과를 보면, 각 컨텐츠 간 통합으로 인하여 새로운 시너지 효과가 발생하였고, 연계성이 증가하여 컨텐츠의 활용분야가 넓어지게 되었다는 것을 알게 되었다. 이는 반려동물 어플리케이션에 대하여 종합적인 컨텐츠 구성이 필요하다는 것을 말해주며, 본 연구는 향후 새로운 반려동물 어플리케이션의 컨텐츠를 개발할 때 중요한 데이터가 될 수 있을 것이다.

  • The population of domestic companion animals is estimated to be about 10 million now. In recent years, the domestic pet market has been launching a wide range of products and services for high quality, smart and well-being. As a result, the market size will increase from 900 billion won in 2012 to 2.3 trillion won in 2016, which has more than doubled in five years. The industry expects to reach 6 trillion won by 2020, expecting 3 trillion won this year. In particular, domestic dogs and cats market is estimated at 275.5 billion won, accounting for 19% of the domestic animal market and 1.425 billion won for the world market. However, despite the growing market for companion animals products, unfortunately the import dependence on related industrial goods is still high and the quality of service is very low. Unlike Europe and the United States, 90% of companion animals are housed in apartments, often causing problems in the health and safety of companions and companions. The purpose of this study is to develop a smart house for companion animals with environmental friendliness and AI function that can be won in competition with products of developed countries. The results of this study are expected to contribute to the creation of a new value - added base for the related industries through the strengthening of the competitiveness of the related SMEs and further the effect of employment increase and import substitution.

국내 동물용 의료기기 등록 및 판매 실태 조사 (Performance Evaluation of Registration and Sales of Veterinary Medical Devices in Korea)

  • In this study, we investigated the number of categories of veterinary medical devices registered by Animal and Plant Quarantine Agency (QIA) by 2013. We also analyzed the sales of the veterinary medical devices reported from Korea Animal Health Product Association (KAHPA) from 2011 to 2013. The registration rate of veterinary medical devices has sharply increased since 2008, and a total of 495 categories from 141 companies were registered by the end of 2013. The multi-frequency products registered for companion animals were ultrasound imaging system, x-ray system, microchip & reader, telemetry system transmitter, and hematology analyzer. The veterinary medical devices for farm animals include marker, artificial insemination catheter, injector, and ultrasound imaging system. Of these products, the multi-frequency products dominated on the veterinary medical devices market. The market size of 223 (45.0%) veterinary medical devices was estimated to be approximately 20.6 billion Won in 2013; the proportion of domestic products and imports was 56% to 44%; the proportion of domestic demand and export was 82% to 18%, respectively. This study suggested that the registration and sales of the veterinary medical devices have gradually increased as the demand of health care services got bigger in Korea.

서울시내 동물병원의 애완견 진료와 관리시스템에 관한 연구 (Study on Companion Dog Practice and Management System on Animal Hospital in Seoul City)

  • 동물병원에서 행해진 진료현황, 총 41,305건에 대해 WHO의 질병분류법(ICD)에 따라 검증한 결과 예방의학이 42.2%, 피부질환이 16.4%, 소화기계가 12.0%, 이과(耳科)가 8.5%, 호흡기계 질환이 4.3%이었다. 내과질환에서는 내원한 진료 중에서 소화기계 질환이 호흡 52.9% 기계 질환이 18.9%, 순환기질환이 13.2%, 종양이 4.4%순이었다. 피부질환 총 6,774건 중에서 농피증이 50%, 외부기생충증이 12.2%, 피부사상균증이 11.0%, 알레르기성 피부병이 9.8%이었다. 동물병원의 수입을 진료부분과 용품 판매, 애견 미용 등 크게 3부분으로 구분하였을 때 전체 매출의 71.6%가 진료부분, 용품의 판매가 16.9%, 애견 미용이 11.5%를 차지하였다. 동물병원의 홍보 형태는 인터넷 웹사이트를 통한 홍보가 47%로 가장 많았으며, 지역광고지가 23.5%, 전단지와 전화통신 서비스가 11.8% 순이었다. 동물병원의 인적구성에서는 수의사가 절반정도인 45.5%를 차지하였으며 전문적인 교육과정을 거친 수의테크니션은 없었다. 동물병원의 시설구획에서는 평균 진료실은 2.7실, 입원실은 1.7실, 격리입원실은 0.5실이었고 이외 수술실과 방사선촬영실을 병용하는 동물병원도 있었고 일반 처치실의 시설은 미흡하였다.

Side Effects of Orthopedic Products in Veterinary Medicine in South Korea

  • As more veterinary clinics become specialized with the growth of the companion animal market, an increasing number of veterinary clinics perform orthopedic surgery and use orthopedic products, some of which are defective and have side effects. Thus, the present study aimed to prepare fundamental data for the revision and development of manufacturing standards for these products in order to prevent their side effects. We conducted a survey targeting veterinary clinics as consumers and medical device companies as suppliers. Veterinary clinics were surveyed via offline and online methods; 320 clinics that offered orthopedic surgery and approximately 4,000 veterinary clinics that were registered in the Korean Veterinary Medical Association were targeted, and 153 veterinary clinics responded to the survey. The survey for medical device companies, was performed online, targeting 29 companies; 14 companies responded. The number of side effects of orthopedic products was higher in animal orthopedic products than in those for human use. Many consumers tended to suspect that side effects were caused by product defects. To resolve side effects after using orthopedic products, consumers mostly underwent reoperation. Meanwhile, some severe cases proceeded to legal disputes. Similarly, medical device companies, or the suppliers, responded that most side effects occurred in veterinary orthopedic products and that product defects and mistakes in use were the causes. As for most of the follow-up actions for side effects, these companies either reported the issue to those in charge or analyzed and resolved the issues themselves. Therefore, to develop quality products, suppliers should be provided with clear standards for the production, and information disclosure and a report system for side effects should be particularly established to gain consumers' trust regarding the safety of these products.

케이지 사육에서 방사사육으로 전환한 산란노계의 가슴살과 대퇴부살에 포함된 지방산 함량의 비교 조사 (Changes in Fatty Acid Profile of Breast and Thigh Muscle of Old Laying Hens as Transferred from Cage to Backyard Raising System)

  • The objective of this study was undertaken to investigate changes in fatty acid profile of breast and thigh muscle of old laying hens as transferred from cage to backyard raising system and to provide basic information on using old laying hens to producers for environmental managements. Overall, percentages of unsaturated fatty acid obtained from breast and thigh muscle with cage and backyard raising system are the most abundant, followed by saturated fatty acid. For breast muscle, there were no differences (P>0.05) between cage rearing system and backyard raising system in saturated fatty acid (SFA) and mono unsaturated fatty acid (MUFA). Poly unsaturated fatty acid (PUFA) and PUFA:SFA ratios were significantly higher in backyard raising systems in comparison with cage rearing systems (P<0.05). No differences (P>0.05) were detected between both rearing systems for MUFA, PUFA, and PUFA:SFA ratios with thigh muscles. SFA in thigh muscle was significantly (P<0.05) higher in cage rearing systems compared with backyard raising systems. In conclusion, using breast and thigh muscle meats from old laying hens as functional foods or investigating impact assessment on the improvement of farm management system may serve as a good management practice to encourage producers.

한우 교육프로그램 적용 결과 분석을 통한 경영 교육프로그램의 개발 준거 -경북지역을 중심으로- (Development Conformity of the Management and Educational Program through Application and Analysis for Hanwoo Education Programs -Samples in Gyeongbuk Areas-)

  • The goal of this study was to investigate the distribution chart of management and satisfaction through Hanwoo education program and to provide fundamental data and development conformity available on the management and educational program to managers. In this study, we chose 75 managers taking part in Hanwoo education program as pre-test and applied satisfaction for education program to 33 managers randomly selected as post-test. The results of this study are as follows: First, age and academic career had a significant (P<0.05) effect on breeding size, breeding career, sales, and management methods. This may be due to the fact that managers in Hanwoo industry tended to raise academic standards and the age group moved towards young age rather than middle and old ages. However, an academic career was unaffected by sale and management methods. Second, managers who randomly selected the education program showed higher satisfaction about the program and lower or usual interest and intention in the educational environment, incidental facilities, and reviews. In conclusion, to equip the constituent parts of education program with entire propriety and an effective running system, information on breeding size and breeding career for managers in Hanwoo Industry with respect to age and academic career had to be clearly premeditated. It also needed the educational program to look at it from the standpoint of the managers.

반려동물 웰빙을 위한 스마트 IoT 기술 도입 수용요인에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Acceptance Factors of the Introduction of a Smart IoT Technology for Well-being Companion Animal)

  • 본 연구는 통합기술수용모델을 기반으로 반려동물 건강을 지키기 위한 반려인들의 스마트 IoT 기술 도입에 따른 수용요인과 그에 미치는 영향요인을 규명하였다. 선행 연구를 바탕으로 기술적 요인과 사회적 요인, 조절변인, 매개변인(UTAUT)으로 구성하고, 각 요인별 독립변인과 종속변인인 수용의도 사이의 경로분석을 통해 가설을 설정하고 변인들의 측정항목을 정의하여 변인들 간의 관계분석을 검증하기 위한 연구모형을 설계하였으며 494명을 대상으로 측정항목에 대한 설문을 조사하였다. 분석결과, 기술적 요인의 제품디자인, 서비스품질, 제품성능, 서비스 품질은 성과기대와 노력기대에 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 그러나 제품안정성, 기능인지, 제품가격에서는 성과기대, 노력기대에서 유의한 영향을 미치지 못하였다. 사회적 요인에서는 인지적효과, 복지제도, 복지시설에서 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 조절효과에서는 성별, 사용경험, 혁신성에서는 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났지만, 연령에서는 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 최종적으로, 기술적 요인과 사회적 요인을 비교분석한 결과 사회적 요인의 복지제도와 복지시설이 수용에 더 크게 영향을 미치고 있다는 것을 파악되었다.

반려동물 관리 및 긴급구조 시스템의 구축을 위한 스마트 앱/웹의 설계 연구 (A Design Study on Smart APP./Web for Construction of Companion Animal Management and Emergency Relief System)

  • 본 논문은 반려동물 강아지를 위한 전용 관리 및 지역 애완동물 병원과의 연동을 통한 긴급 조치 서비스망의 구축, 반려동물 강아지를 키우는 사람들의 커뮤니티 운영을 위하여 필요한 스마트 App.과 Web Site에 관한 설계 연구이다. 먼저, 본 논문은 서론에서 기존의 반려동물 강아지의 관리 및 긴급 구조 시스템에 관련된 상표출원 동향을 조사한다. 본론으로, 본 논문은 한이음 프로젝트로서 반려동물 강아지 서비스/시스템/콘텐츠의 설계, 대학생 멘티들이 참여하는 역할분담을 연구한다. 결론적으로, 본 논문은 반려동물의 평상시 관리와 비상시의 긴급구조에 필요한 IoT기반의 스마트시스템과 Web Page, 스마트 단말기에서 작동하는 App.의 설계, 제작, 시험, 인증에 관하여 필요한 준비사항, 시스템 개발의 절차와 지식재산권, 기술문서의 작성법에 관하여 연구한다.
