  • Interest in the development of urban trails is growing in South Korea. River front trails have been developed in Seoul, Daegu and other major cities. Such trails, and the corridors in which they are developed, often provide a myriad of benefits to the community, including open space, exercise, and stress release. This trend mirrors development patterns found in the United States and European nations. This study examined differences in trail users perceptions of trail attributes, activity participation, willingness to pay for trail access, and perceptions of trail benefits between trail users in the United States and those in South Korea. Perceptions of trail users at three trail sites in the metropolitan area of Daegu were examined, and then were compared to results reported in several studies conducted in the U. S. While this research was exploratory, it did uncover many interesting differences in perceptions of trail attributes between trail users in the two countries. This information may provide insight into the development of greenway systems in South Korea.

  • This study analyzes the factors to determine the location for a food service business. The results and suggestions are as follows. Research hypothesis showed that accessibility, visibility, the property of location and community may have differences by general matters and vital statistical matters. As a result, there were significant differences statistically. Here's the critical point of the research. This result wasn't analyzed by the managers who managed restaurant business because of the restriction of time, space, etc. but by customers and soon-to-be owners or marketers, so the research requires the survey on the factors of location hereafter. Because of the restrictions, the research subject was limited, so the measurement of the vital statistics is inaccurate. According to researcher's opinion, it's a little unjustifiable to generalize this research for all types of restaurant business and conditions. The next research needs to analyze the research results by conditions and much more various subjects.

  • Recently, diverse bio-growth and object production experience learning contents have been developed for AR-based storytelling. In this paper, we will develop a storytelling-based growth type content using 3D printer which can add interest in and motivation of experiential learning. It is possible to increase the value of the characters produced by 3D printer as they can be used as personal collections. The bio-growth type content enables the learners and users to experience the local culture, history, and tourism ecology, which can enhance the educational effect by promoting their understanding in a fun way. The purpose of this study is to develop an application for experiential learning contents which creates a virtual environment in an object smart device where you can experience the culture and ecology of a learning community, and then produce the output using the 3D printer to keep as a personal souvenir. The developed contents application for experiential learning can be utilized not only for students but also for tourists. It is expected to serve as a source for further development of various contents through 3D printing technology.

  • Water spider(Argyroneta aquatica Clerck) is only spider that live under aquatic water. In korea, water spider distributed only in Undari Wetland, Yeochon County, Kyongii Proviance, where it is designated as Natural Monument. I counted the population density, analysed the ecological traits such as actual vegetation map, and suggested conservation strategy and eco-tourism planning for water spider. The population mean density of water spider was one individual/$m^2$ and 8,000 individuals/ha. The wetland inhabited by water spider was characterized by high water level fluctuation between rainy season and dry ones. Wetland plant community was dominated by Phragmites australis and Leersia oryzoides var. japonica with submersed plant, Utricularia japonica. It is need to supply water for inhibiting terrestial succession trend during the dry season and to connect three fragmented wetlands through ecological corridor. Also, It was suggested that ecotourism planning is important for conserving this wetland.

  • Recently, due to a decline in traditional industrial function and recession of the real estate business, urban coastal settlement areas have been promoted in a regeneration way using historical cultural values rather than overall development approach. This study investigated the regional assets of water-front area around Yeongdodaegyo Bridge in Yeongdo-gu, Busan and classified them into physical social economic assets and then, presented the integrated regeneration approach that can increase the place value of this area. First, physical regeneration proposed a regional revitalization plan by considering place and cultural characteristics and second, social regeneration by considering the regional brand through storytelling and third, economic regeneration by considering historical cultural characteristics. Regional assets-based culture experience can be provided by building cultural tourism infrastructure through this and local economy and local community activation can be expected by providing urban vitality base of coastal settlement areas.

  • The rural development policies and projects in Korea has been implemented with various related acts. For instance, these acts include Framework Act on the National Land, National Land Planning Utilization Act, Special Act on Balanced National Development, etc, enacted by each of adminstration. However, there are some limitations to encourage the variety of rural development policies due to duplication and overlapping between the relevant acts. Nowadays, the fields of rural development have been evolved and integrated not only by agricultural infrastructures but also in various fields such as multi-functional industry including rural tourism, green care, and cultural welfare, etc. Therefore, the current legal system may not effectively accept and support in various rural development policies and projects at all. This study tried to figure out the necessity of reorganization related legal system through the field survey to planners, residents and analysts regarding the correlation between legal systems and projects. For these reasons, this study tried to find out the problem of current legal system and then, suggested alternative methods related to the legal system for integrated rural development. The scope of the study is as follows; 1)correlation analysis between relevant laws and rural development projects. 2)field survey to figure out the legitimacy and validity for the reorganization of the legal system. At last the result of the research has suggested an alternative method to reorganize the legal system and proposed the new legal system with is good for integrated rural development.
