Previous studies of the Korean wave have focused mainly on fan clubs by taking an ethnographic approach in the context of countries in Southeast Asia and, in a minor extension, Europe. This study fills the gap in the literature by providing a social network analysis of Tweets in the context of Mexico. We used the Twitter API in order to collect Twitter comments with the hashtag #kpop from March to August 2012, analyzing them with a set of webometric methodologies. The results indicate that #kpop power Twitterians in Mexico were more likely to be related to the public television broadcast. The sent Tweets were usually related to their programs and promotion for Kpop artists. These Tweets tended to be positive, and according to URLs, not only Kpop but also Korean dramas had considerable influence on the Korean wave in Mexico.

유비쿼터스 환경에서 중요한 이슈는 사용자에게 현재 상황에 적절한 서비스를 실시간으로 제공하는 것이며, 이를 위해서 상황 인식(Context Aware) 기법에 대한 연구가 널리 진행되고 있다. 사용자에게 편리한 환경을 제공하기 위해서는 상황 인식 환경이 구축되어야 한다. 상황 인식 환경이 구축이 되면 센서가 환경을 감지하여 사용자에게 맞는 특정한 애플리케이션을 실행하거나, 시스템을 재구성 하는 서비스를 제공 할 수 있다. 자동적으로 상황을 인식하여 서비스를 제공하기 위해서 애플리케이션의 모니터링이 매우 중요하다. 애플리케이션의 기능, 성능, 상태를 모니터링 함으로써 서비스의 질을 높일 수 있고 사용자에게 최적의 서비스를 제공할 수 있기 때문이다. 본 논문에서는 시스템의 CPU, Memory 사용량 등의 측정에 이용이 되었던 JMX(Java Management Extension)를 이용하여 유비쿼터스 환경의 상황 인식 애플리케이션에 적합한 모니터링 기법을 설계하고 적용방안을 제시하였다.

Recent recovery of the Korean economy drives a rapid increase in utility consumption and requires more stable utility supply and maintenance. However, power location security hardship, reinforcement of international environmental regulation and a huge cost of power plant construction have increased the burden laid on the stable supply. In addition, an efficient and flexible load management is required more than any era since an increment of the rate of increase in cooling load is expected. Therefore, according as the necessity of direct load control for cooling load during the summer in Korea was on the rise, direct load control systems by Internet communication method are constructed at five commercial buildings. Based on practical load control, this study proposes various application modes and communication methods prior to extension diffusion of direct load control hereafter.

A trend in 3D mesh compression is codec design with low computational complexity which preserves the input vertex and face order. However, this added information increases the complexity. We present a fast 3D mesh compression method that compresses the redundant shared vertex information between neighboring faces using simple first-order differential coding followed by fast entropy coding with a fixed length prefix. Our algorithm is feasible for low complexity designs and maintains the order, which is now part of the MPEG-4 scalable complexity 3D mesh compression standard. The proposed algorithm is 30 times faster than MPEG-4 3D mesh coding extension.

최근 애드 혹 네트워크에서는 전력절약 및 통달거리 확장을 위해서 릴레이 통신이 주목을 받고 있다. 또한 고속의 데이터를 전송하기 위하여 OFDMA를 릴레이에 적용하는 방식이 제안되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 소스와 목적지 사이에 여러개의 OFDMA 릴레이를 사용하는 2홉(Hop) 협동 릴레이 모델을 가정하고, 세 가지 릴레이 방식에 따른 시스템의 성능을 유도하고 비교하였다. 목적지에서 동일한 상호정보 임계치를 가정할 때, 선택 릴레이 방식, 기회전송 릴레이 방식, 그리고 반복 릴레이 방식 순으로 성능이 우수하였다.

This paper proposes a compensation PWM technique for the extension of output voltage ranges in three-phase VSI applications using three shunt resistors. The proposed technique aims to solve the dead zone, which occurs in high modulation indexes. In the dead zone, two phase currents cannot be sampled correctly, so that the three-phase VSI cannot be operated up to the maximum output voltage. The dead zone is analyzed in detail, and the compensation PWM algorithm is developed. The proposed algorithm is verified by numerical analysis and experimental results.

The "leading farms" or "superior management farms" were relatively capable to overcome various limitations in rapidly changing agricultural environment and economic conditions, and quick to adopt agricultural management innovations and accomplish more compared to the other farms in shorter durations. The farmers from these "leading farms" were innovative and dynamic, and endowed with potentials to be the core leaders in rural society. Their adaptability created a difference and worthy of emulations. The purpose of this research was to propose a policy to develop, promote and sustain these leading farms. There were some problems in communication structures and in implementing agricultural policies for upbringing leading farmers. In coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry(MAF) and Rural Development Administration (RDA), this article attempted to come up with workable strategies to solve these problems affecting the leading farms.

This paper proposes an extension scheme of the well-known Berkeley Socket Interface for supporting QoS-provided multipeer multimedia communications. The current BSD Socket Interface has been TCP/IP-centric historically and the protocol suite was developed for the peer-to-peer best effort data communications. In order to support multiparty multimedia applications, such key functions as group management, QoS control, and reliable multicast transport should be exploited in the current simple unicast communication architecture and the well-known interface should be extended to cover the functions. This paper proposes a few new API functions and some changes in the current APIs.

Local food in rural area as a rural growth tool has to adapt to current market mechanisms by communication and promotion techniques. We need to know what and how local food consumers seek their benefits to market segmentations. The primary purpose of this study was to segment and profile the benefits of local food consumer so as to provide a better understanding of local food in Korea. A self-administered survey was obtained from 448 food consumer in the study area. Three distinct segments were identified based on the benefits; profit seeker (39.7%), passive consumers (19.0%), and value seeker (42.2%), and these were profiled with respect to socio-demographics and local food attitude-related features.

Good stability and complete range of motion should be the ultimate goal of a rehabilitation program after ACL reconstruction. In previous years. the rehabilitation of the ACL reconstructed knee focused on protecting the new ligament by blocking terminal knee extension, hut, despite good stability, this approach led to numerous postoperative complications. Nowadays, most of surgeons agree the accelerated rehabilitation program based on the concept of ligamentization and clinical experience. Accelerated rehabilitation program consists of maintain of full extension of the knee, early weight bearing and prompt recovery of ROM, and closed kinetic chain exercise. Meeting this goal requires effective communication between-members of the health care team-the physician, physical therapist, atheletic trainer, and the patient. We have to know the importance of rehabilitation, knowlege about the physical therapy, and to introduce for special physical therapist and equipment.
