  • The purposes of this article are to find out general trends of dual-career couples' role expectations role conflicts and marital satisfactions and to estimate the differences according to related variables and to analyze the effects of indepedent variables on ole conflicts and marital satisfactions. For these objectives two kinds of questionaire were used and the data were obtained through 169 dual-career couples. The results were as follows; The results were as follows; 1) Dual-career couples' role expectations and marital satisfactions were relatively high but role conflicts were not. Husbands' role expectations were higher than them of wives but wive's role conflicts and marital satisfactions were higher than them of husbands. 2) Dual-career couples' role expectations role conflicts and marital satisfcations were significantly different by communication role related variables and job related variables. 3) Husbands' role conflicts and marital satisfactions were significantly influenced by communication satisfaction and role expectations,. Wives' role conflicts and marital satisfactions were significantly influenced by communication satisfaction husbands' housework aid and role expectations.

The Effect of Conflict with the Apparel Manufacturer on Satisfaction of the Frsnchised Agency in the Apparel Industry

  • The Purposes of this study ar (1) to identify types and levels of channel conflicts between an apparel manufacturer and a franchised agency, (2) to investigate the effect of economic dependence on conflicts, and (3) to examine the effect of conflicts on satisfaction in a franchised agency's perspective in distributive channel of Korean apparel industry. For this study, questionnaires were administered to the owner or manager of 300 franchised agencies. Employing a sample of 209, data were analyzed by using means, factor analysis, pearson correlation and multi-regression analysis. Major findings are as follows: 1) Types of conflicts between apparel manufacturers and franchised agencies are identified as goal divergence, difference in perception, ineffective communication and lack of role clarity. The highest level of conflicts are lack of role clarity, followed by goal divergence, difference in perception and ineffective communication. 2) Economic dependence leads to channel conflicts in part. Greater levels of economic dependence foster greater conflicts such as lack of role clarity and lower conflicts such as ineffective communication. 3) With respect to effect of conflict on satisfaction, the greater the levels of conflict, the lower the degree of satisfaction with ole performance and with business decision and overall satisfaction.

  • 본 연구는 대인 갈등의 특징을 분석하고, 갈등 조정의 서사가 어떠한 특징을 지니고 구성되며, 조정 과정을 거치면서 어떠한 해체 과정을 통해 대안적 이야기로 변화되는지를 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이 과정에서 갈등조정가가 동원하는 커뮤니케이션 기법을 중심으로 수행하는 역할을 밝히려는 것도 또 다른 연구의 목적이 된다. 본 연구를 통해서 포스트모던 이론의 하나인 사회구성주의 관점의 서사적 갈등 조정의 유용성을 확인할 수 있었다. 이야기 구성을 통해 이루어지는 서사적 갈등 조정은 과거의 경험에 대해서 심리 중심으로 접근하는 갈등에 대한 치료적 방식과 함께 미래에 대한 대안을 행위 중심으로 접근한다. 특히 갈등의 문제를 대화로 연결하고, 갈등과 문제의 의미를 공동으로 창조하여 발전시켜 나가는 체계로서의 서사 조정은 인간의 주체성과 갈등의 고유성을 전제하면서 새로운 변화를 추구한다. 이러한 지점이 갈등을 커뮤니케이션의 관점에서 접근해야 한다는 주장에 정당성을 부여한다. 특히 이 과정에서 다양한 커뮤니케이션 기법들이 갈등 조정에 결정적인 효력을 발휘하고 있다는 것은 갈등 현장에서의 조정 전문 분야 중의 하나로 커뮤니케이션학을 정립할 수 있는 핵심적 근거가 될 것으로 예상된다.

노부모와 성인자녀간의 의사소통 유형과 갈등에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Relationship between Communication Patterns and Conflict between Old Parents and Adult Children)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between communication pattern and conflict between old parents and their adult children. For this purose, 380 adult children are surveyed therefore the answers of survey are described by adult children only. The number of old parents turn to be 230 old fathers and 301 old mothers respectively, there numbers have included the case both parents are alive. The data were analysed several method with SPSS and the methods used for the analysis are Factor analysis, one way ANOVA, Scheffe-Test, Pearson's Correlation, Multple Regression. The results of this study are summarizd as follows ; 1) Old parents's communication patterns differ each other and under many variables. 2) In the conflicts between old parents and adult children differ each other and under many variables, too. 3) The relationship between communication patterens and conflict between old parent and adult children turn to be as follows : Two communication styles ie, the autoritarian style and insincere style increse conflicts. Frendly style have negatve affect to conflicts and decreses the conflicts. Sacrifice style is turn to have slightly affect the conflict.

  • This study looked into conflicts of government policies for oil spill sites which are focusing on Taean-gun after the oil spill in Taean-gun and examined the effects on the conflicts. There are lots of conflicts on the on-going restoration project of fishing ground environment(fishing ground inspection, restoration program development, improvement in fishery biology ecosystem and fishery productivity). For example, these show diverse conflicts between business associates, project processes, business subjects, project participation, and the use of fishing ground. This study found out the first reason of dissatisfaction and conflicts is that there is a difference between groups in terms of political aims and perception. Secondly, lack of communication and cooperation between the center and the provinces, organizations in the provinces, the local government and fishing village cooperatives, fishermen in the fishing industry. Thirdly, the local government and the fishing village head don't show their leadership to improve project performance.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 정신간호사와 일반간호사를 대상으로 감성지능, 촉진적 의사소통능력 및 의사소통갈등을 비교 확인함으로써 각 임상실무 영역에서의 간호사의 감성지능과 촉진적 의사소통능력을 향상시키고, 의사소통갈등을 감소시키기 위한 대안을 모색하는데 기초자료를 제공하기 위해 시도되었다. 두 집단의 감성지능, 촉진적 의사소통능력과 의사소통갈등을 비교 평가하기 위해서 ANCOVA 분석을 수행하였다. 연구결과, 일반간호사의 감성지능, 촉진적 의사소통능력 및 의사소통 갈등 점수가 정신간호사 보다 높게 나타났다. 따라서 정신간호사의 감성지능과 촉진적 의사소통능력을 증진시키기 위한 프로그램 및 일반간호사의 의사 소통 갈등을 감소시키기 위한 임상현장 교육프로그램 개발을 제언한다.

  • Through investigating communication contents, extent of conflict, and its causes between medical residents and nurses/technicians, this study will provide the effective communication skills to ease interpersonal conflicts and maintain healthy partner relationships. This is a descriptive study to find out the communication contents, extent of conflicts and its causes between medical residents and nurses/technicians. Data were collected from April $1^{st}$, 2004 to April $8^{th}$, 2004 from 118 medical residents, 288 nurses, 85 radiology technicians and 107 laboratory technicians in 4 university hospitals in Seoul capital region. Data analysis was done with SPSS version 11.0 using descriptive statistics, ANOVA and chi-test. Interpersonal conflict towards medical residents were rated higher by nurses than technicians (Nurses > Technologists = Medical residents). Causes of conflict showed regional differences. In communication contents, all regions showed "Thank you" and "Well done" as most pleasant comments. Medical residents proved other medical residents' negative comments as most unpleasant and nurses and technicians proved residents' commanding phrases, disrespectful speech, and urging comments to be most unpleasant. Communication between the center members of the medical organization is very important in treating patients and understanding each other. For smooth conflict resolutions and maintaining healthy partner relationships, continued education and support for appropriate communication and interpersonal relationship skills is needed.

치과의사와의 관계에서 치과위생사와 간호조무사의 직종 간 갈등 연구 (A study on conflicts between different occupational categories of dental hygienists and nursing assistances in terms of relationships with dentist)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the state of conflicts among dental health care workers. A survey was conducted on 266 dental hygienists and nursing assistants who worked in dental institutions from September 12 to November 13, 2017, and SPSS(statistical package for the social science) version 20.0 was employed to analyze the collected data. The findings of the study were as follows: 1. The most common reason of the dental hygienists for turnover was working hours and heavy workload(24.6%), followed by pay (22.6%), conflicts with dentists(16.0%) and conflicts with colleagues (11.3%). The most dominant reason of the nursing assistants for turnover was pay(31.1%), followed by working hours(24.4%), heavy workload(17.8%), conflicts with dentists(15.6%) and conflicts with colleagues(8.9%). 2. The largest reason for unsuccessful communication with dentists was that heavy workload reduced the opportunity to communicate well(54.5%). The second biggest reason was that they couldn't communicate well though they had the opportunity(24.0%), and the third greatest reason was that they tended to lag behind dentists in terms of professional knowledge(16.9%). 3. The biggest reason for unsuccessful communication among the dental health care workers was that they didn't have a lot of chances to communicate well on account of heavy workload(41.0%). The second largest reason was the differences in professional knowledge(24.9%), and the third greatest reason was that they couldn't communicate well though they had the chance(23.7%). 4. The most dominant reason for conflicts with dentists was the difference in power(24.0%), followed by poor communication skills(22.1%) and a lack of mutual respect(18.1%). But the opinions of the nursing assistants were different from those of the dental hygienists, as they cited poor communication skills as the most common reason, which was followed by the difference in power and a shortage of understanding of each other's work. 5. The most common reason for conflicts among the dental health care workers was a shortage of communication and communication skills(22.9%), and the second most dominant reasons were a lack of mutual respect and poor understanding of each other's work(17.5%), followed by a lack of mutual respect(17.2%). 6. As to the ways of resolving conflicts with dentists, the most common case was making some mutual concessions to compromise (28.9%), followed by delivering opinions through the staff meeting (23.9%), resolving conflicts by candidly exchanging opinions(15.8%), avoiding each other in moderation(11.7%) and following the opinions or assertions of dentists(1.3%). 7. Concerning the conflict resolution methods among the dental health care workers, the most prevalent way was making some mutual concessions to compromise(36.4%), followed by resolving conflicts by candidly exchanging opinions(23.0%) and conveying opinions through the staff meeting(18.5%). 8. Regarding communication among the dental health care workers, the dental hygienists(3.53±.729) considered themselves to be better at communicating than the nursing assistants(3.29±.745) did(p<0.05), and the dental hygienists(3.45±.809) who thought there was respectful treatment among workers who were different in occupational categories found themselves to be better than the nursing assistants(3.21±.952) who had the same thought did(p<0.05). As a result of analyzing whether frequent job-related meetings occurred among the workers whose occupational categories were different, the dental hygienists(3.05±.975) perceived that there were more frequent meetings than the nursing assistants(2.67±.955) did (p<0.01).

아동의 스트레스 대처행동에 미치는 부모갈등, 부모관련 스트레스, 부모자녀 간 의사소통의 영향 (Children Coping with Stress : Effects of Inter-Parental Conflicts, Parent-related Stress and Communication between Parent-Child)

  • This study investigated effects of parent-related variables on children's coping with stress. Subjects were 409 4th, 5th, and 6th grade children(213 boys and 196 girls) selected from three elementary schools in Seoul and Incheon. Data were analyzed by frequency, mean, and hierachical multiple regression. Major findings were that among the inter-parental conflicts perceived by the children, self-blame and triangulation affects children's coping behavior resulting in children's aggressive and passive/avoidant behaviors. The more children experience parent-related stress, the more children show aggressive and passive/avoidant coping behaviors. With more open-communication in parent-child relations, children's coping shows more active and social support seeking coping behaviors during stress situations.

주장훈련이 간호사의 의사소통 관련 요인과 이직의도에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of Assertiveness Training on Communication Related Factors and Personnel Turnover Rate among Hospital Nurses)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of assertiveness training on nurses' assertive behaviors, interpersonal relations, communication conflicts, conflict management style and personnel turnover rate. Method: A non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design was used in this study, Nurses were assigned into the experimental or control groups, each consisting of 39 nurses. Data was collected between January to March 2004. An 'Assertiveness Training Program' for Nurses developed by Park was used for the study. To emphasize assertiveness practice, 5 practice sessions utilizing ABCDE principles were added to Park's program. To examine the effects of the program, differences between the two groups in assertive behaviors, interpersonal relations, communication conflicts, conflict management style and personnel turnover rate were analyzed using ANCOVA. Results: The assertiveness training was effective in improving the nurses' assertiveness behaviors, but was not effective in improving interpersonal relations, reducing the subjects' communication conflicts, changing the conflict management style or reducing their personnel turnover rate. Conclusion: There have been many studies about factors affecting nurses' personnel turnover rates, but few have been done about methods of intervention to reduce the personnel turnover rate. Thus, this study provides a significant contribution in attempting such an intervention from nursing management perspectives.
