In this study, the effects of grouping method (homogeneous/ heterogeneous) considering students' teamwork skills on their conceptual understanding, perceptions of science learning environments, communication anxiety, communication ability, and perceptions toward small group discussions were compared. Students were taught concerning changes of states, density, and dissolution for 9 class periods. The ANCOVA results indicated that there was no significant difference in the conceptions test scores. In the subcategory of 'students' negotiation' of the perceptions of science learning environments test, high teamwork skill students perceived more positively in the heterogeneous group, but low teamwork skill students in the homogeneous group. No significant differences were found in the communication anxiety. More students in the heterogeneous group perceived unequal participation as a disadvantage of the small group discussions than those in the homogeneous group.

Background: Radiation accidents having occurred in recent containing the accident in Fukushima nuclear power plants of Japan were resulted to the increase in some public concern, anxiety and confusion for radiation or nuclear safety. The public anxiety for radiation is not being decreased though the announcements done in radiation research institutes in Korea. Therefore, this study aims at providing an effective system for radiation publicity to the public members by the clipping analysis for the radiation articles reported in the media. And, the relation between those radiation issues and the radiation perception to the public members is analyzed. Materials and Methods: The radiation articles reported by them in 2013 and 2014 have been collected, and they are then classified with the article characteristic, field and tendency. Classified articles have been reviewed by dividing as two year. The 210 articles have been compared for their tendencies, characteristics and fields by year reported, and their characteristic comparison by reported year are then reviewed. Results and Discussion: Though the frequency that the radiological accidents have occurred in worldwide is far low compared to the accidental frequencies occurred in the general industrial fields, the radiation perception is being still deteriorated because of its special problem, which is defined as exposure, contamination or radioactivity, about radiation. The basic principles for radiation communication were suggested for preventing some unnecessary misunderstanding due to the variation of understanding for radiation issues. Conclusion: It is necessary to perform a variety of strategies for the publicity in improving the radiation perception, to build a relationship with the press or the media and then to consistently interact with them. Radiation communication must be performed by radiation experts or complete charge department, and must be consistently performed and be taken predictable patterns.
The instability of social norms on the Internet causes the diversity of social identification. Meanwhile, the anonymity of online social identity and the chaos of the role-playing among the interacting participants cause an ambiguity of identity recognition, which intensifies anxiety about interpersonal interaction. Methods that promote face-to-face interpersonal interaction through the reconstruction of the identification to the social system and intergroup trust is worth further research. Based on a telephone survey of urban residents in thirty-six cities in China (N=1080), the study focuses on the influence of Internet use on interpersonal interaction of urban residents and the mediation effect of social identification. The results show that Internet use has a negative effect on the interpersonal interactions of urban residents, and social identification plays a mediating effect between Internet use and interpersonal interaction. Implications of the results are discussed.
With the increase of video conferencing users and the development of technology, the situations where video conferencing is used and the layout of video conferencing interfaces are diversifying. Social anxiety affects video conferencing communication and is closely related to the self-view function, which is characteristic of video conferencing. The self-view function is part of the video conferencing interface that provides a small preview of one's own camera feed. Self-view is known to degrade work performance and cause fatigue; however, it is set as the default function on video conferencing software in a way that users generally prefer. This study used an online survey to study the effect of task orientation, preferred self-view size, and social anxiety on video feedback preference. Participants responded to questions assessing work orientation, social anxiety level, preferred self-view size, and self-view preference. The results showed that preferred self-view size mediates task orientation and video feedback preference. There was no significant difference in the mediating effect of the preferred self-view size according to the degree of social anxiety. These results offer insights into the interactions between users and video conferencing software and provide information that can be useful for designing video conferencing interfaces.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of cooperative learning in mathematics in university level. This study aimed to look into the effect of sandplay therapy with parent-children on mother-child's attachment security and communication. This study first conducted a scale of attachment security targeting child and mother who is bringing children in the age of 5 to 6 years in two kindergartens located in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, and composed experimental group and control group of four couples respectively by selecting randomly from eight mother-child couples that received low grades. Sandplay therapy with parent-children was conducted for 12weeks on a weekly basis for 50minutes each. To study the attachment security, we used the Klabsbrun-Bowlby(1976)' Separation Anxiety Test and Mother's attachment scale. In this study, it is Seperated in based on Lee Na Gueng(2001) by functional communication and dysfuctional communication in order to measure changes in communication for situation that may occur during Sand play theraphy and record of observation about changes in each session. Data logging makes watching videos that recorded parent-children sand play therapy every situations. When observes the functional communication or dysfunctional communication between mother and the child, checking the corresponding to each entries, the frequency is recorded and qualitatively analyzed by each sessions. To study mother and child have been enhanced stability of the attachment and the relationship had improved results. Also, in each session the observation of increased functional communication, and dysfunctional communication results appear to reduce in parent-children sand play therapy. As a result, a couple sand play therapy has positive impact to improved the relationship between the mother and the child.

In modern society, disasters frequently occur, and the effect is getting more massive. Also, unpredictable future increases anxiety about social security. Accordingly, in order to prevent national-scale emergency from happening, it is highly required governments' role as ICT power nation and transition to disaster management system using big data applied service. Thus, e-gov necessarily acquires disaster response system in order to predict and manage disasters. Disasters are linked with some attributes of modern society in diversity, complexity and unpredictability, so various approach and remedies of them will appease the nation's anxiety upon them. For this reason, this manuscript suggests epidemics preactive warning algorithm model as a mean of reduce national anxiety on disaster using big data for social security. Also, by recognizing the importance of e-gov and analyzing problems in weak disaster management system, it suggests political implication for disaster response.

Objectives:This study examined the prevalence of psychiatric problems in children with scholastic difficulties who had been referred for mental health services from the Office of Education in Ulsan Metropolitan City. Methods:Child psychiatrists evaluated the referred children using the DSM-IV. Evaluation tools included the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children-III, the Children's Depression Inventory, the Korean form of the State-trait anxiety Inventory for children, the ADHD rating. Results:Seventy-six children consisting of 64 boys (84.2%) and 12 girls (15.8%) participated in the study. The average age was 10.3 (SD=0.93) years old. Approximately 74% of the children referred for scholastic difficulties were diagnosed with mental retardation. The Axis I diagnosis among these children were ADHD (86.8%), depression (21.1%), learning disorder (9.2%), communication disorder (4.8%), pervasive developmental disorder (3.6%), internet addiction (1.3%), and mood disorder (1.3%). Their overall measure according to the Child Depression Inventory was 22.7 (SD=16.8), that for the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory for Children was 33.3 (SD=7.9)/32.4 (SD=9.5), and that for the ADHD rating scale was 18.9 (SD=10.9). Conclusion:These results suggest that many children with scholastic difficulties have both complex psychiatric and educational problems.
Objectives: The purpose of the study is to investigate the psychological state of the patients according to skeletal class III malocclusion symptoms. Methods: The subjects were 200 skeletal class III malocclusion patients. The questionnaire consisted of general characteristics, clinical manifestation, and T score of Korean version of self-rated Symptom Checklist-90-Revision modified by Jae-hwan Kim. The data were analyzed using SAS version 9.2 and t-test, ANOVA, and ANCOVA were used. Clinical manifestation included subjective recognition and radiological analysis. The subjective recognition of the patients consisted of self-satisfaction of the appearance, phonation, mastication, and temporomandibular joint pain. T score consisted of somatization, obsessive-compulsive, interpersonal sensitivity, depression, anxiety, hostility, phobic anxiety, paranoid ideation, and psychoticism. Results: The most serious factor in 9 scales was the severe TMJ pain by ANCOVA. Male patients had a higher T score in phobic anxiety, psyochoticism, somatization and depression than female patients. Those having low appearance satisfaction had the problem in interpersonal sensitivity. Obsessive-compulsive symptoms were conspicuous in phonation difficulty and temporomandibular pain. Conclusions: The patients with skeletal class III malocclusion have more satisfaction with appearance, pronunciation, and phonation than those with skeletal class III malocclusion and overjet. Proper dental treatment will improve the communication and quality of life.
This study aimed to verify the results of emotional analysis with respect to canine behavior as reported in the existing animal behavior field based on the dog vestibular emotional reflex (VER) principle, and to evaluate humans and animals based on empathy gained through true communication rather than human-centered interpretation. A total of 200 canines were divided into non-daily and daily situation groups (n=100 each). To assess the psychological and emotional state of each group, these changes were applied to the principle of VER, and six measurement values were selected: positive emotion (balance and energy), negative emotion (tension/anxiety and stress), and body condition (inhibition and neuroticism). The results showed a statistically significant difference (p<0.05) in positive emotions, negative emotions, and body conditions between the two groups. In addition, balance, energy, tension/anxiety, inhibition, and neuroticism were higher in the non-daily situation group than in the daily situation group, with an exception for stress. Compared with the canine daily situation groups, canine in the non-daily situation groups instinctively observed their surroundings to cope with possible threats, had decreased concentration, and elevated vitals due to high-intensity anxiety. This can be perceived as a state of immediate reaction to possible situations/threats. In conclusion, it was confirmed through Vibra Image technology that canine instability mainly affects three factors: positive emotion, negative emotion, and physical condition.
