A Digital Thesaurus of the Traditional Common Culture of the Greater Mekong Subregion

  • This study aimed to develop a digital thesaurus dedicated to cataloging the traditional common culture of the Greater Mekong Subregion. The process followed a meticulous seven-step methodology, including scoping, vocabulary collection, knowledge structure analysis, relationship delineation, related word adjustments, list validation, and evaluation. Leveraging principles from knowledge organization, thesaurus construction, and digital platform development, the TemaTres web application emerged as the primary tool for constructing this thesaurus. The study's results showed that 2,042 principal words related to the traditional common culture of the Greater Mekong Subregion were compiled and classified into terms for each of the seven deep levels. Each term was accompanied by essential metadata, including broader and narrower terms, related terms, cross-references, and scope notes. This rich dataset empowered semantic search capabilities across diverse applications and web services, providing access to knowledge pertaining to the traditional common culture of the Greater Mekong Subregion and contributing to a deeper understanding of this cultural domain.

  • In this paper, we propose a world's first programmable video processing platform for video quality enhancement of 8K ($7680{\times}4320$) UHD (Ultra High Definition) TV at 60 frames per second. To support huge computation and memory bandwidth of video quality enhancement for 8K resolution, the proposed platform has unique features like symmetric multi-cluster architecture for data partitioning, ring data-path between clusters to support data pipelining, on-the-fly processing architecture to reduce DDR bandwidth, flexible hardware to accelerating common kernel in video enhancement algorithms. In addition to those features, general programmability of SRP (Samsung reconfigurable processor) as main core of the proposed platform makes it possible to upgrade continuously video enhancement algorithm even after the platform is fixed. This ability is very important because algorithms for 8K DTV is under development. The proposed sub-system has been embedded into SoC (System on Chip) and new 8K UHD TV using the programmable SoC is expected at CES2015 for the first time in the world.

  • The digital transformation and COVID-19 are also causing major changes in teaching-learning methods. The biggest change is the spread of remote training and the emergence of various innovative learning platforms. Distance education has been criticized for not meeting technology trends and field demands..However, the problem of distance education is being solved through a system that supports various interactions and collaborations and supports customized learning paths. The researcher conducted a case study on domestic and foreign learning platforms that provide non-face-to-face ICT education. Based on the case study results, the researcher presented the functional characteristics of a learning platform that effectively supports non-face-to-face learning. In common, these sites faithfully supported the basic functions of the information system. In addition to learning progress check and learning guidance, some innovative learning platforms were providing differentiated functions in practice support, performance management, mentoring, learning data analysis, curation provision, and CDP support. Most learning platforms supported one-way, superficial interaction. If the platform effectively supports a variety of learning experiences and provides an integrated learning experience thanks to the development of IT technology, user satisfaction with the learning platform, intention to continue learning, and achievement will increase.

  • 본 연구는 클라우드 기반 공통협업플랫폼의 사용행동을 알아보고자 실증 분석하여 결과를 도출하였다. 클라우드 기반 플랫폼의 독립변수들로 유연성, 신뢰성, 범용성, 보안성, 상호작용을 선정하였으며, UTAUT이론을 활용하여 사용의도를 매개변수로 최종적으로 사용행동을 종속변수로 선정 하였다. 조절변수로는 회사유형을 활용하였다. 가설검증은 AMOS 23.0과 SPSS 23.0 통계 프로그램을 사용하였으며, 클라우드 기반 공통협업플랫폼을 사용하는 사용자들을 대상으로 설문지를 배포하여 총 180부를 분석에 사용하였다. 분석결과, 신뢰성, 보안성, 상호작용은 사용의도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 유연성, 범용성은 사용의도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 최종적으로 사용의도는 사용행동에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 검증이 되었다. 마지막으로 회사유형에 따른 조절효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

  • 본 논문에서는 지능형 의료 정보 제공을 위한 멀티 에이전트 시스템인 MAMI(Multi-Agent system for Medical Image)의 에이전트 플랫폼의 설계 및 구현에 대해 기술한다. MAMI는 여러 의료 정보 중 의료 영상을 위한 멀티 에이전트 시스템이다. MAMI의 가장 중요한 구성 요소는 에이전트 플랫폼이고, 각 에이전트들이 동작할 수 있는 물리적 기반을 제공해 준다. MAMI는 FIPA(Foundation for Intelligent Physical Agent)가 제안하는 관리 모델을 따르고 있다. MAMI에서는 COM(Common Object Model)과 XML(eXtensible Markup Language)로 인코딩된 ACL(Agent Communication Language)을 메시지 교환에 이용하고 있다. 의료 인력을 하나의 에이전트로 개념화하여 시스템에 연결함으로써 소프트웨어 에이전트와 휴먼 에이전트가 지식을 공유하기에 적합한 물리적 기반을 제공해 주며 지능형 의료 정보 서비스를 용이하게 해준다.

  • The 4th industrial revolution needs a fusion of artificial intelligence, robotics, the Internet of Things (IoT), edge computing, and other technologies. For the fusion of technologies, cloud computing technology can provide flexible and high-performance computing resources so that cloud computing can be the foundation technology of new emerging services. The emerging services become a global-scale, and require much higher performance, availability, and reliability. Public cloud providers already provide global-scale services. However, their services, costs, performance, and policies are different. Enterprises/ developers to come out with a new inter-operable service are experiencing vendor lock-in problems. Therefore, multi-cloud technology that federatively resolves the limitations of single cloud providers is required. We propose a software platform, denoted as Cloud-Barista. Cloud-Barista is a multi-cloud service common platform for federating multiple clouds. It makes multiple cloud services as a single service. We explain the functional architecture of the proposed platform that consists of several frameworks, and then discuss the main design and implementation issues of each framework. To verify the feasibility of our proposal, we show a demonstration which is to create 18 virtual machines on several cloud providers, combine them as a single resource, and manage it.

중간지원조직의 리빙랩 현황과 플랫폼으로서의 발전 가능성 탐색 (Exploring Possibilities of Intermediary Living Lab as a Platform)

  • 본 연구는 중간지원조직 주도의 리빙랩 사례를 살펴보고 리빙랩 플랫폼으로의 발전가능성을 탐색한다. 분석 사례는 국내에서 중간지원조직 주도로 리빙랩 플랫폼을 구축한 대표 사례인 '서울혁신파크리빙랩', 성남 고령친화종합체험관의 '한국시니어리빙랩', '재난대응분야 리빙랩'을 대상으로 한다. 분석결과 세 가지 사례 모두 사용자 패널을 구축하여 리빙랩 플랫폼을 형성하고 내 외부 조직에 리빙랩 운영 서비스를 제공하기 위한 과정이 진행되었다. 또한 기술플랫폼에 4Ps 기반의 거버넌스 플랫폼이 결합된 공통적인 특징을 도출할 수 있었다. 그러나 각 사례가 내포하고 있는 의의와 성격, 추진체계는 서로 다른 양상을 보인다. 현재 국내의 리빙랩 플랫폼은 확산되어 가는 초기 단계이기 때문에 향후 리빙랩 플랫폼은 개별적으로 진행되고 있는 리빙랩 경험을 공유하여 공동학습이 진행될 필요가 있다. 이를 통해 관련 유사 사업과의 연계 및 협력 방안을 모색하고, 리빙랩 관련 제도적 기반 및 인프라 정비를 공동으로 추진할 필요가 있다.

교육용 한국어 TTS 플랫폼 개발 (A Korean TTS System for Educational Purpose)

  • Recently, there has been considerable progress in the natural language processing and digital signal processing components and this progress has led to the improved synthetic speech qualify of many commercial TTS systems. But there still remain many obstacles to overcome for the practical application of TTS. To resolve the problems, the cooperative research among the related areas is highly required and a common Korean TTS platform is essential to promote these activities. This platform offers a general framework for building Korean speech synthesis systems and a full C/C++ source for modules supports to implement and test his own algorithm. In this paper we described the aspect of a Korean TTS platform to be developed and a developing plan.

CORBA 기반의 보안 플렛폼과 그 응용 (A Security Platform based on CORBA and its Application)

  • This paper proposes a security platform, called SCAP(Security platform for CORBA based APplication), to cope with potential threats in a distributed object system. SCAP supports CORBA security specification announced by OMG. SCAP is comprised of four functional blocks, which co-work with ORB to provide security services: Authentication Block, Association Block, Access Control Block, and Security Information Management Block. It is designed to support Common Secure Interoperability Functionality Level 2, which is useful for large-scale intra-, or inter-network based applications. Actual security services, which are dependent on supporting security technology, will be provided as external security service for replace ability. Implementation issues such as how to simulate an interceptor mechanism using a commercial ORB product without source code, and how to extend Current object required for security services are also described. At the end of the paper, the SCAP applied to the web environment is described to show its practical utilization.

  • Mass customization meets various needs of customers as well as produces various products and service in low cost like mass production. However, low cost and product diversity have conflicting concepts. Therefore, in order to solve this problem, we need standardization methods. In this paper, we suggest a method for determining the product platform which is a set of common parts in a product family. To achieve the method, we used the Contradiction Analysis of TRIZ (Theory of Inventive Problem Solving), Using this approach, we found a model that obtains various products within limited resources and conditions. Also, we suggest another method that increases the flexibility of our method by Design Structure Matrix.
