This study presents a mathematical model and a sliding mode observer of the injection system for common rail diesel engines. The injector model consists of three subsystems: the actuator subsystem, the mechanical subsystem, and the hydraulic subsystem. In the actuator subsystem, the constitutive relations of piezoelectricity are used to model the actuator made up of piezoelectric material. Based on the proposed model, the observer estimates the injection rate and injection timing, and can play a vital role of sensorless control of fuel injection in the near future. The sliding mode theory is applied to the observer design in order to overcome model uncertainties. The injector model and observer are evaluated through the injector experiments. The simulation results of the injector model are in good agreement with the experimental data. The sliding mode observer can effectively estimate the injection timing and the injection rate of the injector.

The FFS (fringe-field switching) mode was known to exhibit both a wide viewing angle and high transmittance, especially when using a liquid crystal with negative dielectric anisotropy. We have studied cell gap-dependent electrode-optic characteristics of the FFS mode using the LC with negative dielectric anisotropy. In case of a small cell gap of 2 ${\mu}$m, the transmittance at the center of pixel and common electrodes is relatively low because effect of surface anchoring that holds the LC to the initial state is larger than that in a large cell gap of 4 .urn such that the LCs in those regions cannot rotate enough. However, in case of a large cell gap of 4 .urn, the effect of surface anchoring becomes relatively small so that the LCs at the center of pixel and common electrode can be twisted enough by applied voltage, giving rise to high transmittance. Therefore, we can conclude that the light efficiency is dependent on the cell gap.

A distortion suppression technology for employing multiple inputs in 3n＋1 type current mode Max circuit is proposed using the adjustment of transconductance. If the number of input blocks of the current mode Max circuit increases, the high frequency distortion in the output signal grows. In this paper, it has been disclosed that the distortion in the multiple input Max circuit is proportional to such accumulated parasitic capacitance, to the derivative of the output signal and also to tile inverse of transconductance of the common diode-connected transistor. The proposed idea is by employing as larger transconductance of the common diode-connected transistor as possible. The effectiveness of the proposed idea has been proved through the HSPICE simulation for the current mode Max circuits with various numbers of input signals.

This paper is concerned with the design automation of the sequential machines. The operations of sequential machine can be diveded into two types such as synchronous and asynchronous sequential machine and their realization is treated in separate mode. But, in order to integrate logic circuits in high volume, mixed mode sequential machine uses common circuitry that consists of gates and flip-flops. Proposed sequential machine can be designed by several method, which are hard-wired implementation, firmware realization by PLA and ROM. And then onr example shows the differnces among three design mothods. Finally, computer algorithm(called MINIPLA) is discussed for various application of mixed-mode sequential machine.

A wide-voltage-conversion range bidirectional DC-DC converter is proposed in this paper. The topology is comprised of one typical LC energy storage component and a special common grounded asymmetric H-bridge with four active power switches/anti-parallel diodes. The narrow output PWM voltage is generated from the voltage difference between two normal (wider) output PWM voltages from the asymmetric H-bridge with duty cycles close to 0.5. The equivalent switching frequency of the output PWM voltage is double the actual switching frequency, and a wide step-down/step-up ratio range is achieved. A 300W prototype has been constructed to validate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed bidirectional converter between the variable low voltage side (24V~48V) and the constant high voltage side (200V). The slave active power switches allow ZVS turn-on and turn-off without requiring any extra hardware. The maximum conversion efficiency is 94.7% in the step-down mode and 93.5% in the step-up mode. Therefore, the proposed bidirectional topology with a common ground is suitable for energy storage systems such as renewable power generation systems and electric vehicles with a hybrid energy source.

It is necessary to eliminate the broad band noise whose frequency is in the range of several kHz to tens MHz generated from the AC power line to supply the power to electrical and electronic equipments. Because this kind of noise could damage or malfunction such equipments. To suppress those noises, some conventional devices such as a filter or surge suppressor have been used. However, they can not be isolated from the common-mode noise widely spreaded in all power line, which results in poor common-mode rejection performance. In this paper, we proposed a design method of shielded isolation transformer and a jumped circuit analysis model for shielded isolation transformer applicable to filtering common-mode noise as well as normal-mode noise. The analysis model has been verified as a suitable one for shielded isolation transformer through comparison of the simulation with experiment. In addition, it has been shown that the reduction performance for conducted noise of prototype 3 kVA shielded isolation transformer is superior to a unshielded isolation transformer.

It is recently trend that local government which introduce the BIS is increasing steadily. Communication is inevitably necessary to offer a data of a collected bus position to transportation center and supply construed information. Until now, most BIS connection research is actively in data of collecting, processing, offer but Research is Relatively insufficient on communication mode to connect it. Therefore, this study is achieving applicable communication mode on BIS of present common use inning that communication mode. Study resulting, characteristic of BIS communication mode is analyzed that send-receive of short packet data happens frequently and It is inevitably necessary to synthetically analyze economical side, authoritativeness side of communication, introducing communication mode.

A low-power compact driver for multistandard physical layer is presented. The proposed driver achieves low power and small area through the voltage-mode driver with trans-impedance configuration and the novel hybrid driver,. In the voltage-mode driver, a trans-impedance configuration alleviates the problem of limited common-mode range of error amplifiers and the area and power overhead due to pre-amplifier. For a standard with extended output swing, only current sources are added in parallel with the voltage-mode driver, which is named a 'hybrid driver'. The hybrid architecture not only increases output swing but reduces overall driver area. The overall driver occupies $0.14mm^2$. Power consumptions under 3.3-V supply are 24.5 mW for the voltage-mode driver and 44.5 mW for the hybrid driver.

A novel strategy based on a zero common mode voltage pulse-width modulation (ZCMV-PWM) technique and zero-sequence circulating current (ZSCC) feedback control is proposed in this study to eliminate ZSCCs between three-level neutral point clamped (NPC) voltage source inverters, with common AC and DC buses, that are operating in parallel. First, an equivalent model of ZSCC in a three-phase three-level NPC inverter paralleled system is developed. Second, on the basis of the analysis of the excitation source of ZSCCs, i.e., the difference in common mode voltages (CMVs) between paralleled inverters, the ZCMV-PWM method is presented to reduce CMVs, and a simple electric circuit is adopted to control ZSCCs and neutral point potential. Finally, simulation and experiment are conducted to illustrate effectiveness of the proposed strategy. Results show that ZSCCs between paralleled inverters can be eliminated effectively under steady and dynamic states. Moreover, the proposed strategy exhibits the advantage of not requiring carrier synchronization. It can be utilized in inverters with different types of filter.
