니트 캐드 프로그램을 활용한 니트디자인 프로세스 적용 방안 (An Application of Knit Design Process Using a Knit CAD Program)

  • The knitwear industry requires ways to satisfy a changing environment. This study suggests a knitwear design process using a knit CAD program. Such a process needs to implement a CAD system that develops a sufficient knit design system to advance the knitwear industry in both planning and manufacturing. In order to contextualize this research, this study reviewed the current state and problems of the knitwear industry and the market, and investigated the actual condition in which the CAD system is used in knit design by CAD system service providers. The findings of the study are as follows: First, All brands had individual ways to reduce the amount of lead-time. The knit designers pointed out that any given sample product is made in the form of a swatch; after the knitting step and prior to the manufacturing process. In women's wear brands, basting was inserted into the production process in order to reduce the amount of sample losses. Second, a CAD program enables the uses of swatches to see the adequacy of yams, textures, and style that simulate the completed style. Third, this study examined the efficiency of knit design process conducted by the knit design CAD system based on expert assessments, showing that the use of a knit CAD program in commercial knit design proved to be more efficient than in previous models.

  • This study described computer aided die design system for cold forging of non-axisymmetric parts. To design the die of cold forging. an integrated approach based on a rule-base system and commercial F. E. code were adopted. This system is implemented on the personal computer and its environment is a commercial CAD package named as AutoCAD. The system includes four modules. In the initial data input module, the variables which are necessary to design of die are inputted by user and die material are selected from the database. In the analysis and redesign module, stress distrubution action on the designed die is analyzed by commercial FEM code NISA II. The designed die is modified to prevent failure in both states of stress free and pressurizing. The developed system provides powerful capabilities for die design of non-axisymmetric parts.

  • In this paper, an optimal method for determining design parameters of a Switched Reluctance Motor is researched. The dominant design parameters are stator and rotor pole arc and switching on and off angle. The parameters affecting performance are examined and selected using evolutionary computations and commercial CAD program. The simulated design method is compared with conventional procedure.

  • A CAD program for metal bellows diaphragm was developed in this study. This program was written in AutoLISP on the AutoCAD system with a personal computer. Basic design concept used in this program is composition of a convolution that is tangent to two lines and 5 circles from given design parameters(initial radius, inner and outer diameter, thickness, pitch, etc.). The effects of altering some design parameters on stress distribution and fatigue life of bellows were estimated using commercial FEM code, NISAII. As a result, the metal bellows diaphragm was successfully designed by the CAD program. It is used to model a bellows geometry in pre-processor of FEM code. The FEM result shows that stress is dependent on straight line length, bellows diameter with same span, and fatigue life is also affected by design parameters.

  • In this paper, an integrated S/W system from CAD to optimal design has been suggested and an application to a precision machine tool structure shown. The integrated system is so designed to reduce manual interfacing effort. An object-oriented programming language is used for combining 3-D CAD program, FEM and optimal design tools. In this system parametric modelling technique is applied and users can get the optimum design iteratively without much user intervention. The CAD model is automatically updated when the design parameters are transferred back to the CAD program. Not only design time can be dramatically reduced but unnecessary operation errors avoided by the integration.

  • In this paper a CAD-based optimal design system is introduced and applied to optimal design of machine tool structures. The system is designed to reduce manual interfacing effort. All the design activities such as selecting design variables, making FE meshes and FE analysis are integrated on a parametric CAD program. A user can easily select design variables by clicking a CAD model. To enhance the robustness and versatility, this system uses the finite difference method for the design sensitivity analysis. By taking a practical example of the design of the column of a horizontal machining center, it is shown that the software system is efficiently usable in industry establishing the goal of minimizing user intervention between various analysis and optimization activities.

  • 최근 기업에서는 설계 기간을 단축하기 위하여 기존의 CAD시스템들의 기능을 기업의 목적에 맞게 수정할 수 있는 커스터마이징 기술이 요구되고 있다. 이에 대부분의 상용 CAD시스템 개발회사들은 일련의 반복된 작업을 자동으로 수행할 수 있게 해주는 매크로나 외부 프로그램을 작성할 수 있도록 API를 제공하고 있다. 본 논문은 지식기반의 제품개발 체계를 구축하기 위하여 특정 부품의 정형화된 설계 규칙을 3D CAD 템플릿으로 개발하여 특정 모델링을 보다 편리하게 수행할 수 있도록 하는데 목적이 있다. 냉장고의 부품 설계에 요구되는 관련 수식, 데이터 및 설계지식을 Unigraphics의 UG/Open API를 이용하여 프로그램화하였고 그 개발사례를 제시하였다. 상용 CAD시스템에 연결하여 사용함으로써 설계 검증 및 설계 변경을 제품설계 업무에 효과적으로 적용하였다.

  • Design of drawing dies was used In real industrial environments. It was designed by CAD software in many small & medium companies, but many products require various types, and sizes. There(ore many companies are required to reduce process time and design mistakes. In this paper, it was developed the automatic program in order to learn and use easily for design of the drawing dies. It was composed with Visual LISP/DCL language in a commercial CAD package, AutoCAD, and CUI in design system. The system is based in the knowledge base system which is involved a lot of expert's know-how. We have built database of design type and detail sizes. The automatic design system requires basic product type and sizes, and then the system accesses to the database and finds out sizes by comparing with input parameters, after then finally generates drawing dies file.
