RGB와 HSV 칼라 형태를 조합하여 사용한 칼라 코렐로그램 영상 검색 (Color Correlogram using Combined RGB and HSV Color Spaces for Image Retrieval)

  • 칼라 코렐로그램은 칼라 히스토그램처럼 픽셀의 칼라 정보만을 고려하지 않고 영상의 픽셀의 공간 정보까지 고려하기 때문에 콘텐츠 기반 영상 검색(CBIR)에서 널리 사용되어 왔다. 칼라 코렐로그램은 하나의 칼라 형태를 사용한다. 그래서 칼라 코렐로그램은 영상 검색 시 같은 영상이라도 크기가 다를 경우 다른 영상으로 인식하는 등 영상의 특징을 구별해내는데 강건하지 않다. 본 논문에서는 RGB와 HSV의 두 가지 칼라 형태를 사용하여 코렐로그램을 함으로써 기존의 알고리즘보다 영상의 특징을 더 잘 구별해내는 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 이 제안된 알고리즘은 대규모 영상 데이터베이스에서 테스트하였고 그 결과 하나의 칼라 형태를 사용한 코렐로그램 알고리즘과 비교하여 검색된 영상의 평균 순위가 5.63 낮아져 제안한 알고리즘이 더 나은 검색 성능을 나타낸다는 것을 보여준다.

  • 장치간 색변환을 위한 색역사상은 영상의 현색을 향상시키거나 보존하기 위하여 장치사이에 색을 변환하기 위한 방법이다. 색 역사상은 본질적으로 색변환 오차를 발생시키며, 이때 색변환 오차는 색역사상 방법, 원시 및 목적 장치 , 그리고 색역 모델링을 위한 표본점에 의존한다. 모니터와 프린터사이의 색 변환의 경우 각 장치에 대한 모델링을 위해 표본의 측정값에 기초한 경험적인 표기법을 많이 사용한다. 색표본은 CMY 혹은 RGB와 같은 장치 색 공간에서 균일하게 분포된 색표본을 측정해서 사용한다. 그러나, 프린터 표본의 경우 이러한 표본들은 프린터 색역 내부에 균일하게 분포되지 않으므로 색변환 오차가 증가한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 장치 독립적인 색공간인 CIELAB공간에서 균등하게 분포하는 색표본 생성법을 제안하고 3차원 보간법을 이용한 색변환 실험을 통해 제안된 색표본 생성 방법의 성능을 평가하였다.

  • In this paper we focused on the color representation prob1em based on fuzzy set theory. The main factor is the determination or computation of color membership function and color difference formula. The mathematical formula to calculate the color difference should generate a uniform color scaling, and due to this reason we adopted a CIELAB color- space as a fundamental feature space. With the help of the CIELAB color space we created a new color model, referred to fuzzy color model, which can represent the ambiguous characteristics underlying colors. Based on the proposed color difference formula between fuzzy colors, we could obtain the membership computation method of an arbitrary color for a given color family.

루이스 바라간 건축의 색채사용 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristic of Color use Scheme in Luis Barragan's Architecture)

  • Luis Barragan's Architecture has creative feature that Mexican environment and traditional culture were complete by color. Thus the color of his work makes our emotions rich and colorful. He said "My architecture is autobiographical..." at speech in Pritz price. As we can see in his architectural philosophy that sentimental architecture is important than theorical system, his works are impression of empirical factor with intuition. "Color is a complement to the architecture. It serve to enlarge or reduce a space. It's also useful for adding that touch of magic a place needs", stated Barragan. During his process of shaping space, Barragan drew on color in the same way as an architectural component, according it a spatial funtion and expressive vale. he allied it with light, deeming it a crucial vehical for conveying the emotive attributes a site. The capacity of color to express sensitivity and sensuality within an architecture space is liked to its psycho-physiological qualities. In this kind of view, color featyre in Barragan's work is one of the most important tools to realize sentimental architecture, not only is result of the Mexican regional color. As a result, make focus on analyzing various meaning of the color in Barragan's architecture like poetic and habitable structure.

올라퍼 엘리아슨의 작품에 나타난 블러 색채 특성 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of Blur Color in Olafur Eliasson's Works)

  • This thesis has purpose of explaining that blur color is not only appreciated but also undecided spacial color in contemporary space design and examining effects of space experience through the light. In keeping such developments, blur color has been perceived as the object of another tool in contemporary space and has provided us with new views by providing various program, sensor and screen from digital media. With the expansion of blur color, light has changed a spacial color structural that is not simple meaning factor into the essential concept. So this research aims to understand the principle of blur color in Olafur Eliasson's work, which of the fine artist in diverse fields from installation art to media art. The principle of blur color such as deconstruction of vanishing point, dimensional transfer, color gradation, and fiction of visual perception makes it possible to extract the expressed element and method of blur color. Meanwhile, the features of blur color such as sense of depth from viewpoint changes, hybrid from collapse of order, media metamorphosis from reconstitution and interaction from uncanny can be inferred from case analysis.

경복궁에 표현된 붉은색에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Reds of Kyungbok Palace)

  • Koreans have regarded the red as a major color from old times. The red is a traditional color to have symbols of high position, national foundation and especially royalty. So, we can see the reds in the palace for kings very much.The purpose of this study is to draw out the features of color red in the Kyungbok palace. The color was analyzed by two categories-architectural buildings${\cdot}$structures and ornamental painted patterns. The major findings from this research are summarized as follows:1. Seokganju(similar to terra rossa) and toyugsaek(light seokganju) are found main colors in architectural space, while seokganju has a linear effect and toyuk has a facial effect. 2. Yugsaek(similar to light vermillion) and Jangdan(similar to orange) are found main colors in ornamental painted patterns. These colors are more vivid and brighter than those for architectural space.3. As for two-color combination, reds and blues(including greens) are found major combination both of architectural space and ornamental patterns. And reds and white are the following combination, which gives an bright image by white. 4. As for three-color combination, red-white-black combination of pediment and red-blue-white combination of openings are found very popular in architectural space, while red-blue-yellow combination is most popular in ornamental patterns.The reds are found dominant color of both architectural space and ornamental patterns in the Kyungbok palace. The color design as shown in the Kyungbok palace can be considered as the feature of traditional color design.

  • Two different kinds of subjects are discussed. One is " Enhanced color space for displays" and the other one is"An application for large format displays". Originally defined color space by NTSC has never been used widely for TVs and information displays as there have been no available display devices. LCD panels with new light sources for backlighting will provide much wider color space. LCD monitors which use these new panels will meet almost 100% with the color space defined by NTSC or Adobe. Now, It is the time to deploy wider color space defined by such as the NTSC or Adobe as the standard of LCD display panels. As the large format display devices with reasonable price have not been available till plasma panels became available, application of these panels as an information display in public space is a quite new experience for us. Various kinds of practical applications are observed and coming out. It will generate many and new types of businesses.

지하철 정거장 내부공간의 색채계획과 적용에 관한 비교 연구 (A Comparison Study on Color Planing and Application in interior space of subway station)

  • The subway lines have been expanded to solve the traffic problems in Korean cities, so that a big number of people daily use the subway stations. Therefore, subway stations became a kind of public space as well as traffic space. However, the underground space of the stations are essentially different with the aboveground space in terms of environmental and psychological terms. The color planning can be used to reduce the environmental and psychological disadvantages of underground spaces of subway stations. The purpose of this study is to understand the current design methods of subway stations' color planning. To achieve this purpose, this study investigates all reports of 'Color Planning for the Subway' which were used for the construction of subway lines in 6(six) Korean cities. After analyzing the design theories and methods used for the color planning, field studies have been done upon 10 subway lines of 6 cities, to find out the limitations of color planning, the differences between color planning and actual results. The conclusions are as follows : First, the color planning for subway stations does not seem to consider the characteristics of underground space and its psychological effects, such as the depth of station, the lighting source and methods. Second, some critical differences have been found between the color planning and the actual application during construction, due to arbitrary interpretation and limitations of color expression of the construction materials. Third, and therefore, the colors applied in stations do not perform their planned role such as 'variety in the unity', 'symbolic expression of the city and station'.

  • Recently, as the prepress mainstream is changed to the digital workflow, various digital proofing systems such as high price dye sublimation printers and low price ink jet printers are widely used in printing industry. However, most of the digital proofing devices have lower resolutions than analog proofing systems and differ with actual color presses in the color gamuts. Therefore, proper color compensations are needed for digital color proofing in order to match color between the proofs and the press sheets. In this paper, we used 3-dimensional look-up table(LUT) and tetrahedral interpolation method for the color space conversion between the device independent color space(CIEXYZ or Lab) and the device dependent color space(CMY) to reduce the color differences between the original copy and digital color proofs and the press sheets.

  • The purpose of this study is to apply the basic data of the color plan to satisfy the internal desire of residents by considering residents's special in housing space. So we analyzed and surveyed the current condition of color plan in housing space where age units of 30~40 are living. The results of this study are as followed. when the current place of color distribution was observed, ceiling and general wall showed that N(white) systems and YR of bright tone was mostly distributed. On other hand the bottom showed that the calm tone YR was mostly distributed. we could know that residents wanted to show the special of rooms by using point wall. This tendency more presented in privacy room than public room. Through this study, we could evaluate that the special of residents is not presented in color plan of the housing space where age units of 30~40 are living. So we could think that it is needed methods of color plan considered the special of residents for discriminative characteristic of the design in housing space.
