본 논문은 최근에 휘도 영상 부호화를 위해서 제안된 에지 선 기반의 쿼드트리 영상 압축 기법을 기초로 해서 이를 컬러 영상을 압축하도록 확장하고, 확장된 알고리즘을 C-언어를 사용해서 실제로 구현한 쿼드트리 영상 코덱을 소개한다. 개발된 코덱의 부호율-왜곡 성능과 복원영상의 주관적 화질을 JPEG과 비교할 때, 컬러 영상을 고화질로 부호화하는 경우에 개발된 쿼드트리 코덱의 성능이 특히 우수함을 확인하였다.

뽀앙카레 공에서 액정셀의 전기광학적 편광투과특성을 분석하고, 이를 바탕으로 여러 파장에 대해 액정표시소자의 밝기와 명암대비를 최적화하는 위상판의 규격을 정하는 기본조건을 찾았다. 이 조건에 따르면 두 파장에 대해서는 분산특성이 적절하게 조절된 위상판 2매, 세 파장의 경우에는 두 파장으로 근사하거나 위상판 3매가 필요하다.

Citrus farming become one of highly potent area for the farmer s income in the Asia region. Because of its favorable taste and distinctive aroma, attractive color, and nutritional values, market demand has increased steadily along with the income increases in the region. However, realization of the potent have been constrained due to poor orchard management, frequent occurrences of pest and diseases, and a high cost in production besides of the market failures. Cutting down of production cost should be an operational goal to obtain mope profit where marketing structure has yet been underdeveloped. The objective of this study was to provide a comparative information to those program efforts of searching comparative advantage in production. For the three countries, reduction of labor cost by reduction of chemical application frequency was recommended while pursuing further mechanization in those operation such as in pruning, harvesting and pest control. Adoption of the IPM (integrated pest management) will be useful to reduce the number of spraying chemicals with changed knowledge and attitude of the farmers.

고건축물이 위치한 도심지에게 있어 고건축물에 사용되는 야간조명의 문제는 도시의 역사와 문화를 나타내는 데에 있어서 매우 중요한 문제이다. 그러나 이러한 야간 조명의 시각적 평가는 여러 분야와 복합적으로 얽혀있다. 예컨대 고건축물 자체의 색채의 환원이라는 객관적 요소뿐만 아니라, 자연광과 인공광의 휘도대비나 조명시설기술의 영향과 같은 주관적 요소를 종합적으로 살펴보아야 한다. 본 연구는 고건축물 형태강화 계층, 시각적 해석 계층, 조명기술 응용 계층의 세 각도에서 야간 고건축물 경관의 평가체계를 구축하였고, 또 구체적으로 하위 항목들을 열거하여 서술하였다. 이를 바탕으로 계층 분석법(AHP)을 활용해 각 하위 항목이 전체 평가체계에서 차지하는 가중치를 분석하였다. 또한 일관성 검증을 시행해 본 연구가 도출한 평가체계가 단계 설정의 부분에 있어 요구되는 과학성과 합리성을 모두 갖고 있음을 검증하고자 하였다.

Advanced mobile communication devices require a bright, high information content display in a small, light-weight, low power consumption package. For portable applications flexible (or conformable) and rugged displays will be the future. In this paper we outline our progress towards developing such a low power consumption active-matrix flexible OLED $(FOLED^{TM})$ display. We demonstrate full color 100 ppi QVGA active matrix OLED displays on flexible stainless steel substrates. Our work in this area is focused on integrating three critical enabling technologies. The first technology component is based on UDC's high efficiency long-lived phosphorescent OLED $(PHOLED^{TM})$ device technology, which has now been commercially demonstrated as meeting the low power consumption performance requirements for mobile display applications. Secondly, is the development of flexible active-matrix backplanes, and for this our team are employing PARC's Excimer Laser Annealed (ELA) poly-Si TFTs formed on metal foil substrates as this approach represents an attractive alternative to fabricating poly-Si TFTs on plastic for the realization of first generation flexible active matrix OLED displays. Unlike most plastics, metal foil substrates can withstand a large thermal load and do not require a moisture and oxygen permeation barrier. Thirdly, the key to reliable operation is to ensure that the organic materials are fully encapsulated in a package designed for repetitive flexing, and in this device we employ a multilayer thin film Barix encapsulation technology in collaboration with Vitex systems. Drive electronics and mechanical packaging are provided by L3 Displays.

The purpose of this study is to define the tastes of middle-aged Korean men by analyzing their characteristics, such as self-image, and fashion style. This study was carried out by using the Q methodology for survey research. The results of this study are as follows; First, the self-images of middle-aged men were classified into 'comfortable, calm, neat, and gentle,' 'realistic, active, sociable, and familiar,' 'sensible, emotional, romantic, and rational,' 'refined, emotional, luxurious, and sophisticated,' and 'aggressive, sensible, realistic, and rational.' Second, by analyzing the congruity of clothing form, fashion accessory, and fashion color types, this study was classified into the following 10 fashion styles: 'modern classic,' 'sophisticated,' 'town casual,' 'traditional casual,' 'comfortable,' 'chic casual,' 'contemporary,' 'gentle classic,' 'classic sporty,' and 'soft classic.' Third, this study analyzed the self-images and fashion styles of the men, and produced the following personal tastes of middle-aged men: 'success-oriented,' 'ability possession,' 'internal stability-oriented,' 'freedom-oriented,' 'self-satisfaction,' 'individuality compromise,' 'emotional release,' 'stability-oriented,' 'practicability-oriented,' and 'youth effort' types. By combining those types with social dimensions, this study produced the following tastes of middle-aged men: 'stabilized traditions,' 'achievements with high sociality,' 'youthful individuality,' 'active self-realization,' and 'realistic, logical pursuit.' The results of this study can be used as a meaningful data for developing the marketing strategy, which reflects the middle-aged men's changed tastes.

Ornaments is a province of the fashion. It usually express noble metals and jewel's adorn-ment as the symbol of status and riches for a long time. The ornament design of Jewels drawing project and a product by computer are increased development and as exertion as a realization of automation. Through the use of CAD software(Auto CAD R 13 & Jewel CAD) \circled1 A design development of the jewels in industrial society \circled2 A metals art & design on the dress and it's ornaments - Study about application of principle(liberal curve, arrangement of repeated form, gradual unity, rhythmical harmony) Although Auto CAD don't various expression of Jewels than a Jewel CAD, formative.scientific.funtional development of geometrical form is free. That is (to say), geometrical form is given much weigh in the general CAD, but Jewel CAD made concentrate software on the jewels design for the expression of liberal form. The CAD/CAM software for jewellery program is composed of main menu, icons, hotkeys. Changing form is derived from a definite point, curve elements of a drawing. \circled1 3-Dimensional \circled2 Easy and flexible \circled3 Bulit-in and self created library \circled4 From simple wire frame to full color images. As a CAD can practice all the creation activity effectively, from Design & Drafting Software to Rendering generally can present precise results. A point of view of the connection the scientist and art, this practicableness of CAD have a lot of possiblity of development. That will do much for the related fields of industry. Consequently, subjective intension of a creator & humanity with value plays role in practical application of the design.

This study aims to evaluate Rietveld's creative design style and concepts. To this end, I looked into the evaluation of major researchers on Rietveld, classified all his works into four groups according to the design types and analyzed them. As follows: based on the results of the analysis of works I concluded. First, Rietveld created the concept of the spatial extension to the ingenious joint which had the structural node formed of three listels with quadrangular section. It is the design innovation that led to liberate the closed construction. Second, Rietveld had opened up the possibility to neutralize the gravitational three-dimensional works. He subtracted the weight in the direction of gravity from the three-dimensional structure of the works and painted the three primary colors on them partially to get rid of the original material color. Therefore they looked like the forms liberated from gravity. Third, Rietveld ripped off the surfaces of cube through several formative experiments and decomposed the volume into the tesseract. Through this method of realizing the new plastic concepts, he completed the architectural models of weightlessness. Fourth, Rietveld opened the possibility of the realization of the three-dimensional works integrated all space and time in the one-pieced works and the folded works. Fifth, Rietveld steadily experimented and realized the internal and external integration of time and space in his later works.

Organic thin-film transistors (OTFTs) with printable semiconductors are promising candidate devices for flexible active-matrix (AM) display applications. Yet, stable operation of actual display panels driven by OTFTs has seldom been reported up to date. Here, we demonstrate a flexible reflective type polymer dispersed liquid crystal (PDLC) display, in which inkjet-printed OTFT arrays are used as driving elements with excellent areal uniformity in terms of device performance. As the active semiconductor, a novel, ambient processable conjugated copolymer was synthesized. The stability of the devices with respect to electrical bias stress was improved by applying a channel-passivation layer, which suppresses the environmental effects and hence reduces the density of trap states at the channel/dielectric interface. The combination of high performance and high stability OTFT devices enabled the successful realization of stable operating flexible color-displays by inkjet-printing.

The one of the most important thing for the successful realization of display functions in modern exhibition activities is based on exhibition space and the information communication between designers and visitors. Therefore, the information transmission has become an important function of modern exhibition activities. How to transmit information effectively is the key factor of successful exhibition design. However, 'people flow' and 'transportation' are taken as the main issues for a lot of the design works in space design of exhibition. But the information transmission is seldom taken into account as an important factor. The ultimate objective of exhibition design is to transmit the exhibits' information effectively to visitors, so the effective transmission of exhibiting information becomes the most important criteria in exhibition design. The successful exhibition can be well designed through information transmission by means of material objects, a lighting, properties, sounds, color, performance, etc The successful effects of the exhibition also depends on a great extent of the display design and a modeling in exhibition space. Modern exhibition design is getting more importance on the research on forms including basic features and exhibition space relations of forms. This research discusses on the design method that is favorable to information transmission In order to deal with the factor of display and modeling in exhibition space.
