문제중심학습 교육을 받고 있는 간호학생의 학습유형에 따른 참여도와 학업성취도 (Participation and Academic Achievement by Learning Styles in Problem Based Learning)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze nursing students' learning styles and relationship of learning style to participation and academic achievement. Method: The study participants were nursing students in C college learning through problem based learning (PBL). Data were collected using a questionnaire which included Kolb's learning styles. Performance evaluation and paper examination were used to evaluate academic achievement. Results: Most of the students had converger type learning style. Student with a tendency to abstract conceptualization, such as converger type and assimilator type, preferred discussion and presentation. The students with converger type learning style participated and achieved better than students with diverger style. Conclusion: The results indicate that learning style was related to participation and academic achievement. Therefore in order to use PBL effectively, facilitators should consider students' learning styles.

Effects of Informatization Mind on Information Development Efforts and Academic Achievement of University Students Major in Sports

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the impact of informatization minds of college students majoring in sports on information development efforts and academic achievement. Accordingly, a survey was conducted on 200 college students majoring in physical education at D University, and 197 students were selected as the final effective samples. Data processing was conducted using SPSS 23 for frequency analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and regression analysis. The results are as follows: First, recognition of the necessity of informatization education, a subfactor of the informatization mind, has a positive impact on informatino development efforts. Second, recognition of the necessity of informatization education, understanding and utilization of informatization concepts among sub-factors of informatization minds have a positive impact on the major learning achievement. Third, all the conversational factors in the informatization mind have a positive impact on study problem resolution. Fourth, information development efforts have a positive impact on the major learning achievement and the study problem resolution. Therefore, efforts are needed to increase the information mindset of college students major in sports.

Effect of Exam Anxiety, Academic Stress and Alcohol Dependence on Academic Achievement of Nursing Students

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is that the college age is an important transition period from youth to adulthood. Nursing students are unfamiliar with their field of study and need to adapt to a large amount of academic and practical training, so that they can have a better college life. An attempt was made to determine the effect of exam anxiety, academic stress, and alcohol dependence on the academic achievement of nursing students. Research design, data, and methodology: The subjects of the study were 130 students from all grades who agreed to participate in the study after expressing convenience among students attending the Department of Nursing at a university in Gyeongnam. The data collection period was from August 15 to September 15, 2023. It was about a month. The data investigation was conducted through a self-report survey. Results: Results showed that significant variables included exam anxiety, academic stress, alcohol dependency, parent relationships, peer relationships, and major satisfaction, explaining a total variance of 31.9%. Among these, the most influential factor was academic stress (β=-.352). Conclusions: This study identify factors influencing the academic achievement of nursing college students and hopes to contribute to formulating strategies for their growth and competence development.

S지역 치위생 학생의 학업성취도와 대학생활적응에 관한 연구 (A Study on Academic Achievement and College life adaptation of dental hygiene students in S Area)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 치위생과 학생을 대상으로 학업성취도와 대학생활적응과의 관련성을 파악하여 학업 및 진로진도의 효과성 향상을 위한 기초자료로 활용하고자 수행되었다. 치위생과 재학생 245명을 임의추출하여 자기기입식 설문조사를 시행하였으며 수집된 자료는 SPSS 21.0을 이용하여 빈도분석, 카이검정, 독립표본 평균검정, 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 학년이 올라갈수록, 학업성취도가 높을수록 대학생활적응이 높았고, 입학전형은 유의하지 않았다. 치위생 전공 학생의 대학생활적응 관련요인을 제시함으로써 학업 및 진로지도 관련 프로그램 개발에 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 생각한다.

대학생의 학업성취도 예측요인 연구 : J 대학을 중심으로 (A Study on Predictors of Academic Achievement in College Students : Focused on J University)

  • 본 연구는 대학생의 학업성취 예측모형을 구축하여, 각 요인간의 상호관계와 상대적 영향력을 밝히는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 J 대학 재학생 1,310명의 학습자 개인요인과 학습전략 요인을 설문하였으며, 그 결과를 데이터마이닝 기법인 의사결정나무 분석을 통하여 학업성취 예측요인의 변별과 패턴을 분석하고, 각 요인의 상대적 영향력을 살펴보기 위한 이항 로지스틱 분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 학업성취를 예측하는 가장 중요한 요인은 효능감으로 나타났으며, 이외 학습동기, 시간관리, 우울이 학업성취를 예측하는 요인으로 나타났다. 학업성취를 예측하는 요인의 패턴은 효능감과 시간관리 수준이 높은 경우와 효능감이 중간 수준이더라도 학습동기가 높은 경우로 나타났다. 효능감과 학습동기가 낮거나 우울이 높은 경우 학업성취를 감소시키는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 대학생의 학업성취 향상을 위한 효능감과 학습동기 향상, 시간관리 교육 강화, 부정적 정서 관리 등을 제안하였다.

제7차 교육과정을 이수한 공과대학 신입생의 학업성취도 연구 (A Study on the Academic Achievements of Engineering College Students Educated by the $7^{th}$ National Education Process)

  • The 7th National Education Process, implemented in 2004, features student-oriented, selective educational programs with a wide range of optional subjects. In 2005, reflecting this revised National Education Process, the College Scholastic Ability Test began allowing individual students to choose the subjects for examination they would like to take. As a result, the deviations of the college freshmen's academic achievements in some subjects have noticeably widened. This study shows academic abilities of the students on some subjects by comparing the results of 2008 College Scholastic Ability Test with that of the Basic Academic Ability Evaluation Test for freshmen in engineering college of Hongik university. Lastly, this paper presents some improvement plans in order to better accommodate students with academic achievement levels lower than what is expected by the university.

간호교육에서 팀 기반학습(Team-based Learning)의 적용에 관한 연구 (A Survey of Student Perceptions, Academic Achievement, and Satisfaction of Team-based Learning in a Nursing Course)

  • Purpose: This study is to assess the level of student perceptions, academic achievement, satisfaction, and their relationships in a medical-surgical nursing course using team-based learning (TBL). Method: Four-hour TBL sessions were given in a structured three-phase sequence in a cohort of 261 second year nursing students. Results: Mean perceptions of TBL was $6.64{\pm}5.11$, and $8.30{\pm}4.11$ for perceptions of teamwork. On a 7-point scale, the mean satisfaction score was $4.85{\pm}1.41$, and 64.0% of nursing students were satisfied with TBL compared to lecture. Group readiness assurance test score was significantly higher than individual readiness assurance test score (t=-16.76, p<.001). Perceptions of TBL (F=1.40, p=.245), perceptions of team work (F=1.55, p=.202) and satisfaction (F=0.81, p=.489) was not different by the level of students' academic achievement on items related TBL. Conclusion: Results indicates that TBL was an effective instructional strategy including favorable perceptions and satisfaction for nursing students. TBL could be an adjunct educational strategy for undergraduate nursing education.

대학캠퍼스의 인지적 외부 공간환경에 대한 재학생만족도가 학업성취도에 미치는 영향 연구 (The Effects of College Students' Satisfaction in Perceived Public Outdoor Spatial Environment on the Level of Academic Achievement)

  • Public outdoor spatial environment and its convenient facilities are playing an important role in providing space for various student activities in university campus. Previous studies have shown that many socio-demographic-economic students' background and motivation have impacted the level of academic achievement. Moreover, research also contended that school facilities at some points also influenced students' academic performance. Thus, the aim of this research was to investigate the relationship between the level of academic achievement and satisfaction of various spatial environment through survey. For that purpose, one university campus was selected and evaluation indexes were categorized into five major components of physical and experimental environment, later supported by factor analysis. Correlation analysis found that extracted factors were significantly interrelated to academic achievement. Further, regression analysis also explored sense of belonging as major predictor of academic achievement. Finally the study suggested that campus plan be approached carefully, because such experimental environment as diverse club activities at outdoor environment is a key element to academic achievement even though rated low scores in satisfaction.

간호대학생의 감성지능, 셀프리더십, 심리적 안녕감이 학업성취도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Emotional Intelligence, Self-Leadership, Psychological Well-being to Academic Achievement of Nursing College Student)

  • 본 연구는 간호대학생의 감성지능, 셀프리더십, 심리적 안녕감이 학업성취도에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하고자 실시하였다. 연구대상자는 일부 시 지역 대학생을 대상으로 하였으며, 분석대상은 199명 이었다. 자료는 기술적 통계, t-tset, ANOVA, pearson correlation과 stepwise multiple regression으로 분석 하였다. 그 결과 학업성취도에 영향을 미치는 요인은 셀프리더십의 하위영역인 행동전략과 감성지능의 하위영역인 자아동기능력, 심리적 안녕감의 하위영역인 자율성 및 긍정적 대인관계가 학업성취도에 유의한 영향을 미치며 설명력은 13.0%이었다. 일반적 특성에 따른 학업성취도 관련성에서는 학업성취도는 성별과 학년에서 차이를 보였으며, 학업성취도와의 상관관계에서는 감성지능의 하위영역으로 자아동기능력, 셀프리더십의 하위영역으로 행동전략, 심리적 안녕감의 하위영역으로 자율성과 긍정적 대인관계와 양의 상관관계로 나타났다. 결론적으로, 간호대학생의 학업성취도를 높이기 위해서는 셀프리더십의 행동전략과 감성지능의 자아동기 능력, 심리적 안녕감의 자율성 및 긍정적 대인관계를 향상시킬 수 있는 프로그램 개발을 강화하는 것이 필요하다고 하겠다.

방사선(학)과 학생들의 대학입학유형, 학업성취도, 대학생활만족도의 상관관계에 관한 연구 (Relationship of Admission Type, College-Life Satisfaction and College Student Academic Achievement of Radiologic Science(Technology) Students)

  • 본 연구는 방사선(학)과 대학생들의 대학입학유형, 학업성취도, 대학생활만족도의 상관관계를 파악하여 학업성취도를 향상시키기 위한 대학교육 기초자료로 활용하고자 수행하였고, 학업성취도에 영향을 줄 수 있는 학습자 변인인 학습태도를 함께 고려하였다. 연구 대상은 경기도, 충청북도, 경상북도에 소재한 2개 4년제 대학과 2개 전문대학에 재학 중인 학생을 대상으로 하였고, 자료 수집을 위한 설문 조사는 2016년 5월 중순에서 6월 중순까지 실시하여 총 371부의 설문지를 수거하여, 그 중 363부를 연구에 포함시켰다. 연구 결과 방사선(학)과 학생들의 대학입학유형에 따른 학업성취도는 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 방사선(학)과가 선호하는 학과이기 때문에 어느 정도 학업 성적이 높은 학생들이 지원하고 편차가 크지 않기 때문으로 해석할 수 있을 것이다. 학업성취도 관련 상관관계 분석에서는 대학입학유형 보다는 학습태도가 통계적으로 유효한 요인으로 나타났다. 학습태도는 개인 역량과 함께 노출된 환경에 의해 변화할 수 있으므로 학생들의 학습태도 향상을 위한 다양한 프로그램 개발이 필요할 것이다. 또한 방사선(학)과의 학업성취도는 이후 면허 취득과 연결되는 만큼 추후 학습태도를 향상시키기 위한 학습법 개발과 결정 요인에 대한 연구도 함께 이루어져야 할 것이다.
