COVID-19 Student Stress Questionnaire (CSSQ) is an instrument developed to measure COVID-19 related stress of college students. The purpose of this study recognizing the usefulness of the CSSQ was to evaluate the Korean version of the CSSQ. The survey questionnaire was uploaded in the free board of the online community which was most often visited by college students. A total of 293 students participated in this study. It turned out that the Korean version was reliable and valid. However, the original version has 3 factors but the its Korean version was uni-dimensional. Based upon this study, pandemic-related stress scales for college students need be developed in the future.

The study was carried out to investigate the influence of demographics and social media use on perceived academic stress of secondary school students in St. Thomas Aquinas College, Akure, Nigeria. This was achieved using five research questions and four null hypotheses. The population of the study consisted of 1,107 students at ISCED level 3, out of which 286 were selected based on the Israel (2003) model for determining sample size. The Ex-Post Facto (EPT) research design of the correlational type was employed to investigate the study while questionnaire was used for data elicitation. Out of the 286 copies distributed, 192 (67% response rate) were retrieved and analyzed using descriptive statistics (frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation) and inferential statistics (correlation and multiple regression). The findings revealed that there is high frequency of social media use among secondary school students, majorly for meeting new friends and chatting. The perceived academic stress (PAS) of the students was found to be moderate. Of the three demographics considered, only class had significant influence on PAS. Use of social media did not have significantly influence on PAS of the students. When combined, demographics and social media use predicted PAS; and when considered relatively, of the independent variables, only class as an aspect of demographics predicted PAS. Therefore, the authors concluded that PAS of secondary school students is not directly influenced by demographics (except for class) and social media use. Based on the study's conclusion, recommendations were made.
Objectives : Abnormal movements are among the most common psychogenic symptoms, and psychogenic movement disorders(PMD) are estimated to account for 2-3% of patients in movement disorders clinics. Psychogenic tremor is the most frequent symptoms among psychogenic movement disorders. There are no treatment studies specific to PMD and lack any generally accepted treatment strategies. Methods : In this case, a 40 years old women had been suffered from head tremor for 4-5 years without any evidence for other neurological disorders and medical problems. Her symptom caused by stress events and severity of symptom had been change the level of by stress. We treated her with korean traditional herbal medicine(Chengsimyeonjatang), Qigong-based Stress Reduction Program(BQSRP), Giungoroen(wise saying and lofty opinion) and Gyeongjapyeongji(desensitizing the unease) for 2 months. Results : After treatment, the severity and frequency of the head tremors were decreased. In addition, anxiety level also decreased. Conclusions : This result suggests that our oriental medical treatments was effective on psychogenic tremor.

Statement of problom: In the internal connection system the loading transfer mechanism within the inner surface of the implant and also the stress distribution occuring to the mandible can be changed according to the abutment form. Therefore it is thought to be imperative to study the difference of the stress distribution occuring at the mandible according to the abutment form. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to assess the loading distributing characteristics of 3 implant systems with internal connection under vertical and inclined loading using finite element analysis. Material and method: Three finite element models were designed according to the type of internal connection of ITI(model 1), Friadent(model 2), and Bicon(model 3) respectively. This study simulated loads of 200N in a vertical direction (A), a $15^{\circ}$ inward inclined direction (B), and a $30^{\circ}$ outward inclined direction (C). Result: The following results have been made based on this numeric simulations. 1. The greatest stress showed in the loading condition C of the inclined load with outside point from the centric cusp tip. 2. Without regard to the loading condition, the magnitudes of the stresses taken at the supporting bone, the implant fixture, and the abutment were greater in the order of model 2, model 1, and model 3. 3. Without regard to the loading condition, greater stress was concentrated at the cortical bone contacting the upper part of the implant fixture, and lower stress was taken at the cancellous bone. 4. The stress of the implant fixture was usually widely distributed along the inner surface of the implant fixture contacting the abutment post. 5. The stress distribution pattern of the abutment showed that the great stress was usually concentrated at the neck of the abutment and the abutment post, and the stress was also distributed toward the lower part of the abutment post in case of the loading condition B, C of the inclined load. 6. In case of the loading condition B, C of the inclined load, the maximum von Misess stress at the whole was taken at the implant fixture both in the model 1 and model 2, and at the abutment in the model 3. 7. The stress was inclined to be distributed from abutment post to fixture in case of the internal connection system. Conclusion: The internal connection system of the implant and the abutment connection methods, the stress-induced pattern at the supporting bone, the implant fixture, and the abutment according to the abutment connection form had differenence among them, and the stress distribution pattern usually had a widely distributed tendency along the inner surface of the implant fixture contacting the a butment post.
Most of cervical abrasion and erosion lesions show gingival margin where the cavosurface angle is on cementum or dentin. Composite resin restoration of cervical lesion shrink toward enamel margin due to polymerization contraction. This shrinkage has clinical problem such as microleakage and secondary caries. Several methods to diminish contraction stress of composite resin restoration, such as modifying cavity form and building up restorations in several increments have been attempted. The purpose of this study was to compare polymerization contraction stress of composite resin in Class V cavity subjected to cavity forms and placement methods. In this study, finite element model of 5 types of Class V cavity was developed on computer tomogram of maxillary central incisor. The types are : 1) Box cavity 2) Box cavity with incisal bevel 3) V shape cavity 4) V shape cavity with incisal bevel 5) Saucer shape cavity. The placement methods are 1) Incisal first oblique incremental curing 2) Bulk curing. An FEM based program for light activated polymerization is not available. For simulation of curing dynamics, time dependent transient thermal conduction analysis was conducted on each cavity and each placement method. For simulation of polymerization shrinkage, thermal stress analysis was performed with each cavity and each placement method. The time-temperature dependent volume shrinkage rate, elastic modulus, and Poisson's ratio were determined in thermal conduction data. The results were as follows : 1. With all five Class V cavifies, the highest Von Mises stress at the composite-tooth interface occurred at gingival margin. 2. With box cavity, V shape cavity and saucer cavity, Von Mises stress at gingival margin of V shape cavity was lower than the others. And that of box cavity was lower than that of saucer cavity. 3. Preparing bevel at incisal cavosurface margin decreased the rate of stress development in early polymerization stage. 4. Preparing bevel at incisal cavosurface margin of V shape cavity increased the Von Mises stress at gingival margin, but decreased at incisal margin. 5. At incisal margin, stress development by bulk curing method was rapid at early stage. Stress development by first increment of incremental curing method was also rapid but lower than that by bulk curing method, however after second increment curing final stress was the same for two placement methods. 6. At gingival margin, stress development by incremental curing method was suddenly rapid at early stage of second increment curing, but final stress was the same for two placement methods.
The constrained conditions of roof and floor for the coal pillar affect the strength of coal pillar very seriously. To analyze the influence of rock mass for the roof and floor on the stability of coal pillar comprehensively, one method based on the mechanical method for the composite rock mass was proposed. In this method, the three rock layers of roof, floor and coal pillar are taken as the bedded composite rock mass. And the influence of rock mass for the roof and floor on the elastic core of coal pillar has been analyzed. This method can obtain not only the derived stress by the cohesive constraining forces for the coal pillar, but also the derived stress for the rock mass of the roof and floor. Moreover, the effect of different mechanical parameters for the roof and floor on the stability of coal pillar have been analyzed systematically. This method can not only analyze the stability of strip coal pillar, but also analyze the stability of other mining pillars whose stress distribution is similar with that of the strip coal pillar.
Physical examination and surgical findings and symptoms are often inconsistent with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) findings when diagnosing chronic ankle lateral ligament instability, and confirmed surgical findings are used as the gold standard in most clinical studies. Anterior drawer testing is considered unreliable because normal findings are highly variable, and its accuracy ranges from 50% to 100%. Furthermore, radiographic stress imaging, such as in anterior drawer stress view, is performed under manual stress or using a stress device, and its findings also vary widely and confuse when interpreting stress views. The average accuracy of MRI findings is around 85% (range, 66%~91.7%), and thus, cannot be used as a primary indicator for surgery. For patients with suspected lateral ankle ligament instability, based on symptoms and physical examination findings, MRI may be useful for identifying lesions in ankle joints and for differentiating them from other conditions.
Radiofrequency (RF) radiation might induce the transcription of a certain set of genes as other physical stresses like ionizing radiation and UV. To observe transcriptional changes upon RF radiation, we exposed WI-38, human lung fibroblast cell to 1763 MHz of mobile phone RF radiation at 60 W/kg of specific absorption rate (SAR) for 24h with or without heat control. There were no significant changes in cell numbers and morphology after exposure to RF radiation. Using quantitative RT-PCR, we checked the expression of three heat shock protein (HSP) (HSPA1A, HSPA6 and HSP105) and seven stress-related genes (TNFRSF11B, FGF2, TGFB2, ITGA2, BRIP1, EXO1, and MCM10) in RF only and RF/HS groups of RF-exposed cells. The expressions of three heat shock proteins and seven stress-related genes were selectively changed only in RF/HS groups. Based on the expression of ten genes, we could classify thermal and non-thermal effect of RF-exposure, which genes can be used as biomarkers for RF radiation exposure.
In this paper, an exact analytical solution for simply supported sandwich plate which considers the permeation effect of adhesives is presented. The permeation layer is described as functionally graded material (FGM), the elastic modulus of which is assumed to be graded along the thickness following the exponential law. Based on the exact three-dimensional (3-D) elasticity theory, the solution of stresses and displacements for each layer is derived. By means of the recursive matrix method, the solution can be efficiently obtained for plates with many layers. The present solution obtained can be used as a benchmark to access other simplified solutions. The comparison study indicates that the finite element (FE) solution is close to the present one when the FGM layer in the FE model is divided into a series of homogeneous layers. However, the present method is more efficient than the FE method, with which the mesh division and computation are time-consuming. Moreover, the solution based on Kirchhoff-Love plate theory is greatly different from the present solution for thick plates. The influence of the thickness of the permeation layer on the stress and displacement fields of the sandwich plate is discussed in detail. It is indicated that the permeation layer can effectively relieve the discontinuity stress at the interface.
