Analyzing the Domestic Collaborative Research Network in Industrial Engineering (국내 산업공학 공동연구 네트워크 분석)

  • This paper aims to construct and analyze the domestic collaborative research network in industrial engineering. Using co-authorship information contained in the papers published in the two journals of the Korean Institute of Industrial Engineers, the collaborate research network at the institutional level is constructed. The core institutions in the network are identified by means of the centrality indexes of social network analysis. In addition, the five types of roles of the institutions in industry-university-institute cooperation are examined through brokerage analysis: coordinator, consultant, gatekeeper, representative, and liaisons. The findings are expected to be fruitfully utilized in formulation of R&D strategy of relevant organizations and technology policy making for promoting collaborative research in industrial engineering.

Collaborative and Participatory Model for Urban Forest Management: Case study of Daejisan in Korea

  • Citizen's involvement in forest decision-making is recently acknowledged as a potential solution to forest management conflicts. Through participation, affected citizens become a part of the decision-making process. This paper focuses on the use of collaborative and participatory model(CPM) for urban forest management. The model, which is exemplified by the Daejisan case in Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do, Korea, utilizes the collaborative decision-making structure and the gradual level of resident participation in urban forest management. As a result, the committee in the model contributed to building partnerships among different interest groups and then to constructing environmentally compatible urban park. Furthermore, an improvement in the levels of resident participation was manifested in the process. These characteristics of CPM can encourage participation and cooperation among stakeholders and ultimately contribute to realizing sustainable urban forest management.

  • In the future, a machine will be more improved in the form of advanced concept with collaborative ability in M2M(Machine to Machine, Mobile to Machine) environment for u-Manufacturing system. This paper tried to standardize M2M and design advanced concept machine. The M2M is front-end system for implementing autonomous ubiquitous environment. The advanced machine in M2M will be a collaborative machine with knowledge-evolutionary ability such as u-Machine(Ubiquitous machine), Vortal(Vertical Portal) machine and P2P(Peer to Peer) machine. Such advanced concept machines will be the key subject for M2M cooperation.

  • Recently, as the collaborative robot has been introduced into the domestic industrial robot market, it is installed mainly in the manufacturing industry. Collaborative robots are subject to the safety regulations of industrial robots by Article 93 of the Safety Inspection of the Industrial Safety and Health Act. The sites where collaborative robots are to be installed must perform risk assessments for robots-humans, work environments, and work methods and reduce the risks according to ISO 10218-2 and ISO 12100. On the other hand, because it is early in the introduction of collaborative robots, new risks for collaborative robots have not been issued, and risk assessments are unfamiliar and difficult to apply in the workplace. The risk assessment of collaborative robots aims to identify and reduce the risk of a high probability of occurrence by focusing on the abnormal behavior of humans, human errors, equipment defects, and interlock functions. In this study, a risk assessment was applied to a domestic automobile parts production plant, and improvement measures were drawn. This risk assessment is expected to be useful for improving the safety of small businesses by continuously discovering risk assessment examples of collaborative robots.

A Study on Collaborative Governance: Focusing on the Cultural Heritage Guardians (문화재지킴이 정책의 협력적 거버넌스 운영 체계 연구)

  • Governance is valued as a new concept and principle of social operation and public policy management, and its influence is gradually expanding. Among the various governance theories being put into practice and in case analysis studies, collaborative governance embracing various governance concepts has been found to increase interdependence and responsibility beyond participation and compromise, and create new public values by integrating and utilizing optimal social coordination forms. In the field of cultural assets, governance-related research is also being conducted for the efficiency, sustainability, and scalability of public policy enforcement. This study explored the government's role (promotion, arbitration, and condition creation) in collaborative governance, focusing on the "Cultural Heritage Guardians" to understand how collaborative governance operates in the cultural heritage sector. Regarding governance policies in the cultural asset sector, the cultural asset guardians highlighted the status, role, and characteristics of policies by examining their introduction, development, and implementation. The results of the analysis revealed that private-led, horizontal public-private cooperation, collaborative governance, policy introduction, solidarity, professionalism, resource/knowledge imbalance, cooperation precedence, etc., facilitate increased participation. The government has accordingly proposed measures to establish comprehensive legal stability centered on cooperation; strategic reorganization of dedicated organizations; strengthened, supportive intermediate organizations; and individual and multi-party consultative bodies.

A comparative analysis on concept mapping tools for computer-supported collaborative learning (컴퓨터기반 협력학습을 위한 개념도작성도구의 비교 분석 및 고찰)

  • The purpose of this study is to review the concept mapping tools and provide implications for designing tools that support collaborative learning activities. For this purpose, representative concept mapping tools - Convince Me, Knowledge Forum, Cmaptools, Mindmeister, Belvedere - was analyzed by using the 3C(Communication, Coordination, Cooperation) framework. We have applied three research methods; 1) literature review on design principles of tools, 2) heuristic evaluation, 3) focus group interview. As a result, most of comcept mapping tools supported communication functions but partialy supported coordication and cooperation features.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a practical model for enhancing cooperative virtual reference services of public libraries in the nation. The research methods include an examination of model cases from Europe and the V.S. and also an electronic questionnaire survey of 375 public librarians (73% response rate). The study results suggest the need for 'a collaborative virtual reference room' which consists of the collaborative reference database, virtual reference desk, guidance and instruction designed by age groups and/or subjects.

  • Inter-Organizational Cooperation is the most common and important strategy in modern public and privet sectors managerial activities. In this paper the concepts of inter-organizational cooperation means not selfish cooperation as in the game circumstance and theory, but general collaborative action between organizations, they have share same goal. The achievement level of jointed-goal of inter-organization is depended upon the performance of cooperation, which resulted from the conditions and circumstances of cooperation. This paper analyses the effect of inter-organizational cooperation on achievement level of the jointed goal between two organizations with computer simulation model of the system dynamics approach. In the computer simulation model, three factors, goal perception, communication, and control, are considered as a key conditions of cooperation, which impact on the performance of cooperation. Simulation model was constructed with focus on the dynamic interactions between these three factors and the achievement level of jointed-goal. Consequently, the results found in this paper may provide further grounds for reducing the time delay that included in the conditions of cooperation.

Cognitive Mechanisms of Collaborative Learning and Technology Supports (협동학습의 인지적 기제와 테크놀로지의 지원)

  • The main goal of this paper is to understand the underlying cognitive mechanisms of collaborative learning and how it can be supported by technology. The paper first overviews changes in conceptions of learning and distinguishes different types of joint works including collaborative learning. Cognitive mechanisms of collaborative learning are examined in terms of resource pooling, facilitation of constructive activities, knowledge co-construction, and supports for monitoring and regulation. Socio-emotional mechanisms of collaborative learning moderate the directions and strengths of these cognitive mechanisms. Technology supports these mechanisms in a number of different ways. Seven major supports technology provides for collaborative learning are discussed. A deeper understanding of the cognitive mechanisms of collaborative learning can help us to harness the benefits of collaborative learning better and also to develop more sophisticated tools supporting collaborative learning.

  • The robot is the creation of new markets and various cooperation according to the manufacturing paradigm shift. Cooperative management easy for existing industrial robots, robots work on productivity, manpower to replace the robot in every industry cooperation for the purpose of and demand increases.to exist But the industrial robot at the scene of the cooperation working due to accidents are frequent, threatening the safety of the operator. Of industrial site is configured with a robot in an environment ensuring the safety of the operator to and confidence to communicate that can do the possibility of action.Robot guard system of the need for development cooperation. The robot's cooperation through the sensors and computer vision task within a radius of the double to prevent accidents and accidents should reduce the risk. International protocol for a variety of industrial production equipment and communications opc ua system based on ultrasonic sensors and cnn to (Convolution Neural Network) for video analytics. We suggest the cooperation with the robot guard system. Robots in a proposed system is unsafe situation of workers evaluating the possibility of control.
