  • This study examined the effect of the industrial nursing practical education program applying online collaborative learning on perceived motivation, problem-solving ability, and communication ability of nursing students in COVID-19 period. The study was carried out according a non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design. The study subjects were 35 nursing college students from K City. Data collection was from October 19 to November 12, 2020. Collected data were analyzed using IBM SPSS 22.0 with the 𝑥2 test, Fisher's exact test, independent t-test, Mann-Whitney U test. The experimental group had significantly different perceived motivation, and problem-solving ability in comparison to the control group. This suggests that the industrial nursing practical education program applying online collaborative learning in the COVID-19 period can be applied as a way to increase nursing students' perceived motivation, and problem-solving ability.

  • The educational environment, where the change to blended learning and AI convergence education through non-face-to-face is accelerating, is based on the cultivation of digital literacy. This study attempted to verify the effectiveness of future competencies by creating a collaborative SW education program on the metaverse platform that emerged by supplementing the problems through non-face-to-face. Twenty programs on how to design and create software were organized for small-scale elementary classes in the metaverse. In order to verify the effectiveness 4C competency tool presented as future educational competency was selected, and homogeneity test for the experimental group and t-test were conducted. The results showed the SW education programs based on metaverse was effective in improving collaborative communication skills, confirming the possibility of SW education through blended learning.

  • The Collaborative Cloud Storage is that several members of collaborating group together use data stored in a storage. Therefore, it is obvious that it is more complicated and important to protect data stored in the sharing storage than general cloud storage, not Collaborative Cloud Storage. this paper proposes a method for user authentication and data protection.

  • These days people are overwhelmed by information on the Internet thus searching for useful information becomes burdensome, often failing to acquire some in a reasonable time. Recommender systems are indispensable to fulfill such user needs through many practical commercial sites. This study proposes a novel similarity measure for user-based collaborative filtering which is a most popular technique for recommender systems. Compared to existing similarity measures, the main advantages of the suggested measure are that it takes all the ratings given by users into account for computing similarity, thus relieving the inherent data sparsity problem and that it reflects the uncertainty or vagueness of user ratings through fuzzy logic. Performance of the proposed measure is examined by conducting extensive experiments. It is found that it demonstrates superiority over previous relevant measures in terms of major quality metrics.

  • In construction sites, policies are changing considering the convergence of 3D scanning and BIM. In order to respond to this, it is urgent to develop guidelines for systematic collaboration methods that take into account the perspectives of practitioners. By participating in the delivery process using 3D scanning technology, tasks such as ordering, field scanning are defined in terms of mutual communications. Also, the collaboration process is about communications between off-site and on-site, such as feed-back using data and documents. In the future, we will propose guidelines based on such collaborative process models.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of computational thinking course on learning flow and collaborative self-efficacy of university students and to explore the effectiveness of computational thinking course as liberal arts education. For this study, 177 freshmen at a university in Chungnam Province were surveyed learning flow and collaborative self-efficiency. The collected data were analyzed with Stata IC 14 for 2 test and t-test. The results of this study are as follows. First, the learning flow of students who took computational thinking course were significantly higher(t=3.837 p<.001) compared to those who did not. Second, the collective self-efficiency of students who took computational thinking course were significantly higher(t=2.277 p<.01) compared to those who did not. Therefore the results show that computational course has positive effects on learning flow and collaborative self-efficiency of university students. Based on these findings, discussions and implications were presented on the importance and effectiveness of computational thinking course.

  • This paper introduces a dual manipulator system designed to automate the packaging process of industrial coils, which exhibit higher variability than other structured industrial fields due to diverse commercial requirements. The conventional solution involves the direct-teaching method, where an operator instructs the robot on a target configuration. However, this method has distinct limitations, such as low flexibility in dealing with varied sizes and safety concerns for the operators handling large products. In this sense, this paper proposes a two-step approach for coil packaging: motion planning and assembly execution. The motion planning includes a Rapidly-exploring Random Tree algorithm and a smoothing method, allowing the robot to reach the target configuration. In the assembly execution, the packaging is considered a peg-in-hole assembly. Unlike typical peg-in-hole assembly handling two workpieces, the packaging includes three workpieces (e.g., coil, inner ring, side plate). To address this assembly, the paper suggests a suitable strategy for dual manipulation. Finally, the validity of the proposed system is demonstrated through experiments with three different sizes of coils, replicating real-world packaging situations.

  • This study recognized the mutual collaborative characteristics among consultants as important factors in the performance of the government-supported consulting business, and wanted to look at the impact of the cooperative characteristics among consultants on the consulting performance. First, a research model was presented based on theoretical background, hypotheses were set up and surveyed, and hypotheses were verified by multi-circulation analysis. Among the collaboration characteristics among consultants, the most influential was mutual reliable followed by smooth communication, professional competence and role sharing. information sharing was rejected and was found to be relatively less affected than other variables. This can be seen as more important than the quantitative aspect of information sharing because of the collaborative nature of consultants who must work toward common goals. Collaboration among consultants has been positive when carrying out government-funded consulting projects, suggesting that quantitative characteristics should be considered based on the qualitative characteristics based on mutual reliable. In the future, we hope that this data will be useful for identifying collaborative characteristics among consultants when carrying out consulting projects.

  • Collaborative filtering has been popular in commercial recommender systems, as it successfully implements social behavior of customers by suggesting items that might fit to the interests of a user. So far, most common method to find proper items for recommendation is by searching for similar users and consulting their ratings. This paper suggests a new similarity measure for movie recommendation that is based on genre interest, instead of differences between ratings made by two users as in previous similarity measures. From extensive experiments, the proposed measure is proved to perform significantly better than classic similarity measures in terms of both prediction and recommendation qualities.

  • Optimal sensor placement (OSP) is an integral component in the design of an effective structural health monitoring (SHM) system. This paper describes the implementation of a novel collaborative-climb monkey algorithm (CMA), which combines the artificial fish swarm algorithm (AFSA) with the monkey algorithm (MA), as a strategy for the optimal placement of a predefined number of sensors. Different from the original MA, the dual-structure coding method is adopted for the representation of design variables. The collaborative-climb process that can make the full use of the monkeys' experiences to guide the movement is proposed and incorporated in the CMA to speed up the search efficiency of the algorithm. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is demonstrated by a numerical example with a high-rise structure. The results show that the proposed CMA algorithm can provide a robust design for sensor networks, which exhibits superior convergence characteristics when compared to the original MA using the dual-structure coding method.
