  • This paper suggested a whiteboard for multimedia collaboration work. We implemented the whiteboard so that the users participated in collaborative work may refer shared media objects as the same view to others. In this paper, we discuss a method for increasing reliability of media data through whiteboard. This paper explains a performance analysis of a media data system running on distributed multimedia environment using the rule-based DEVS modeling and simulation techniques.

  • Firms seldom survive and prosper solely through their individual efforts. Each firm's performance depends upon the activities and performance of others and hence upon the nature and quality of the direct and indirect relationships a firm develops with its counterparts. Textile companies have tried to improve their organizational competitiveness in order to survive in the digital age global market. The challenge in textile supply chain management is the development of collaboration network which accommodates diverse concerns of various participants while explicitly recognizing interdependencies and promoting effective relationship management. Major contents of the study are as follows. First, ideal collaboration network model from the supply chain of the textile industry is suggested. Second, utilizing the collaboration model, A framework for textile e-marketplaces supply chians is designed to improve customer services and delivery time, to promote information sharing, and shorten product life cycle time. The framework suggested is expected to promote corporate innovation and information sharing, generate infrastructure which provides appropriate communication and operations capabilities for the textile companies.

  • e-Science is for increasing the research productivity in epochal way using research resources like high performance computers, large capacity data storage, experimental instrument and researchers. For the research activities without being limited by time and space, the collaboration system is prerequisite condition. This paper shows the comparisons and analysis of features of popular collaboration systems in the point of e-Science. We considered that the number of supporting video streams, scalability and cost are main issues for the e-Science collaboration system. By these, we conclude that Access-Grid(AG) is best suitable for the e-Science collaborative research system. This paper shows the current AG status and the future way of AG.

  • To get an implication for desirable direction for Collaboration between Reporter & Producer, I found that had 4 modes of collaboration such as, Producer System, Reporter System, Double Reporting System, Co-Work System, and each was distinguished by field cover, on-mic, editing, writing. Producer system and Reporter system got no chemical synergy because of simple array of single reports due to physical assemble. The achievements of collaboration was birth of new news which had different duration, visual, sound & perspective. It also offered fertile soil for new program and genre literacy of 8 o'clock news. The success factor of collaboration was surprisingly turned out to be personnel rather than system. The balance of reporter & producer was also good factor. But the wall between 2 groups was so high that, after disappearance of extraordinary leader, system began to crumble and at last program was repealed.

Moreover, the study has been assessed with resources and data to reliably attain the results. Accordingly, the data findings for the research was used with SPSS 25, to examine its frequency, correlation, regression, and other necessary measures. Firstly, there were significant correlations among professional autonomy, collaboration, and job satisfaction. Second, professional autonomy has directly influenced the social workers without the mediator variable on their job satisfaction. Lastly, the collaboration with professional autonomy had also shown decisive effects on the job satisfaction level. Therefore, based on the results of this research, we need a sustainable strategy and advanced collaboration with professional autonomy to enhance and reform our current social service system.

  • This study examined the types and changes of collaboration in the domestic fashion industry by means of analyzing media articles or advertisement of collaboration in the domestic fashion industry that were published in Vogue and Fashion Biz between 2000 and 2011. The total number of collaboration articles and advertisements was 269, including 55 from Vogue and 214 from Fashion Biz. The data analysis was made using frequency, percentages, and the (chi-square) test. The results concerning fashion collaborations between 2000 and 2011 are as follows: First, when looking at the collaborations from 2000 to 2003, it showed that majority of collaborations during this period was done between apparel companies and individual designers. However, from 2004 to 2011, there was a increase in the number of collaborations between apparel companies and celebrities. Second, collaborations from 2000 to 2003 focused mainly on women's wear and innerwear. But, from 2004 to 2011, collaborations for casual wear has increased. • With the recent growth in cloud computing, big data processing and collaboration between businesses are emerging as new paradigms in the IT industry. In an environment where a large amount of data is generated in real time, such as SNS, big data processing techniques are useful in extracting the valid data. MapReduce is a good example of such a programming model used in big data extraction. With the growing collaboration between companies, problems of duplication and heterogeneity among data due to the integration of old and new information storage systems have arisen. These problems arise because of the differences in existing databases across the various companies. However, these problems can be negated by implementing the MapReduce technique. This paper proposes a collaboration system based on Database as a Service, or DBaaS, to solve problems in data integration for collaboration between companies. The proposed system can reduce the overhead in data integration, while being applied to structured and unstructured data.

  • This study attempts to identify the external and internal factors which affect collaboration motives and investigates their respective impacts from the perspective of foreign direct investment(FDI). Although there has been much research on collaboration motives, so far, few studies have associated collaboration motives with FDI. The findings suggest that while price competitiveness and cost structure uncertainty have a positive and significant impact on collaboration motives, the gross added value to property as well as plant and equipment have a significant negative impact. Furthermore, in the case of gross added value to both property and plant and equipment, managers tend to collaborate with others to enhance the value of these factors. For both FDI and non-FDI firms, internal factors such as price competitiveness and investment within three years are significant determinants for the decision to collaborate. The difference between FDI and non-FDI firms is that for the former, the gross added value to property, an internal factor, is a critical factor, while for the latter, the cost structure uncertainty, an external factor, is critical for collaboration. To summarize, this study suggests the following managerial implication: the enhancement of the internal competency of a firm broadens the window of opportunity for collaboration with others, and consequently provides a chance to boost management efficiency.
