  • We investigated what target (a nationality of an artist) firms select when they are engaged in art collaboration. We identified 137 cases of art collaboration between 2005 and 2013 through the analysis of news contents and we found that Korean firms prefer to artists whose nationality is same with that of those firms. In addition, such preferences disappear when the target of art collaboration is durable goods. This implies that Korean firms prefer to artists whose nationality is different from them in art collaboration because the collaboration with those artists help firms increase product reputation although a collaboration process is not favorable to those firms.

  • In this paper, we propose contents authoring, management, and distribution technologies where the contents registered in secure storage through a content acquisition and authoring tool can be used as a common experience in smartphones, smart pads, and PCs. Currently, many people are producing and consuming various types of contents in bulk, and it is expected that real-time contents and old contents coexist as IoT(Internet of Things) technology is commonly deployed in the future. Therefore, we need to develop a differentiated service that can compete with global services in contents authoring and collaboration systems to create new markets. Accordingly, we implemented an authoring service platform to occupy cloud markets with high quality contents produced through collaboration.

  • The purpose of this study was to explore how designers use software-based design tools for ideation and collaboration (for two cases: with designers and with developers). We conducted logistic regression analysis and random forest analysis. Software-based design tools are more popular among product designers and affiliated with design organizations with 51 to 100 members. We identify the features that influence designers to use design tools for the ideation and collaboration, and how these usage patterns are interrelated. Interrelated usage pattern is a key consideration for location of the menu and convenience of use. The results imply that reinforcement of the design tool features per designer profile is required and that design management should be consistent with the field of design and the nature of the organization.
