캐비테이션 벤츄리의 유동 특성에 대한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on Flow Characteristics of Cavitation Venturi)

  • 캐비테이션 벤츄리는 후단 압력에 상관없이 액체의 유량을 일정하게 유지시켜주는 장치로, 일정한 추진제 유량의 공급을 필요로 하는 액체로켓엔진 시스템에 성공적으로 사용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 축소되는 유입각과 팽창하는 출구각 만이 다른 네 개의 캐비테이션 벤츄리를 설계, 제작하였다. 압력을변경시켜가며 벤츄리를 통과하는 유량과 전/후단의 압력을 측정하였다. 실험결과로부터 각 벤츄리에 대한 유량계수와 임계 압력비를 계산하였다. 캐비테이션 벤츄리의 입구각과 출구각은 유량계수에 영향을 주었으며, 출구각은 임계 압력비에도 영향을 주는 것을 확인하였다.

충적대수층 계간축열 냉난방 시스템의 온실 난방 효과 (Effects of the Cooling and Heating System with Seasonal Thermal Storage in Alluvial Aquifer on Greenhouse Heating)

  • In this study, a cold well and a warm one with the distance of 100 m were installed in the alluvial aquifer. Groundwater used as the heat and the cold source of heat pump was designed to flow into the warm and the cold well with a diameter of 200 mm. In order to increase the heat and cold storage in aquifer, six auxiliary wells with the diameter of 50 mm and the depth of 30 m were installed at an interval of 5 m from the main well. Also, heat pump 50 RT, the thermal tank $40m^3$, and a remote control and monitoring system were installed in three single-span greenhouses ($2,100m^2$) for growing tomato in Buyeo, Chungcheongnam-do. According to the aquifer heat storage test which had been conducted from Aug. 31 to Sep. 22, 2016, warm water of $850m^3$ was found to flow into warm well. The temperature of the injected water was $30^{\circ}C$ (intake temperature : $15^{\circ}C$), and the heat of 12.8 Gcal was stored. The greenhouse heating test in winter had been conducted from Nov. 21, 2016 to Apr. 30, 2017. On Nov. 21, 2016 when heating greenhouse started, the aquifer temperature of the warm well was $18.5^{\circ}C$. The COP for heating with water source at $18.5^{\circ}C$ was 3.8. The intake water temperature of warm well was gradually lowered to the temperature of $15^{\circ}C$ on Jan. 2, 2017 and the heat pump COP was measured to be 3.2 at that time. As a result, the heat pump COP was improved by 18 %. and retrieval heat was 8 Gcal, the retrieval rate of heat stored in aquifer was estimated at 63 %.

  • Flow condensation heat transfer coefficients (HTCs) of R22, R410, Propane (R290) were measured inside a horizontal 9 hole aluminum multi-channel flat tube. The main test section in the refrigerant loop was made of a 0.53m long multi-channel flat tube of hydraulic diameter of 1.4 mm. Refrigerant was cooled by passing cold water through an annulus surrounding the test section. Data were obtained in qualities of $0.1\~0.9$ at mass flux of $200\~400kg/m^2s$ and heat flux of $7.3\~7.7kW/m^2$ at the saturation temperature of $40^{\circ}C$. All popular heat transfer correlations in single-phase subcooled liquid flow and flow condensation originally developed for large single tubes predicted the present data of the multi channel flat tube within $25\%$ deviation when effective heat transfer area was used in determining experimental data. This suggests that there is little change in flow characteristics and patterns when the tube diameter is reduced down to 1.4 mm diameter range. Hence, a modified correlation based on the present data was proposed which could be applied to small diameter tubes with effective heat transfer area. The correlation showed a mean deviation of less than $20\%$ for all data.

평관과 마이크로 핀관 내 R22, R134a, R407C, R410A의 흐름응축 열전달성능 (Flow Condensation Heat Transfer of R22, R134a, R407C, and R410A in Plain and Microfin Tubes)

  • Flow condensation heat transfer coefficients (HTCs) of R22, R134a, R407C, and R410A were measured on horizontal plain and microfin tubes. The experimental apparatus was composed of three main parts; a refrigerant loop, a water loop and a water/glycol loop. The test section in the refrigerant loop was made of both a plain and a microfin copper tube of 9.52 mm outside diameter and 1.0 m length. The refrigerant was cooled by passing cold water through an annulus surrounding the test section. Tests were performed at a fixed refrigerant saturation temperature of $40^{\circ}C$ with mass fluxes of 100, 200, and 300 kg/$m^2s$. Test results showed that at similar mass flux the flow condensation HTCs of R134a were similar to those of R22 for both plain and microfin tubes. On the other hand, HTCs of R407C were lower than those of R22 by 11~l5% and 23~53% for plain and microfin tubes respectively. And HTCs of R410A were similar to those of R22 for a plain tube but lower than those of R22 by 10~21% for a microfin tube. In general, HTCs of a microfin tube were 2.0~3.0 times higher than those of a plain tube.

과산화수소-케로신 엔진을 이용한 지상 및 고고도 추력에 대한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on Thrust of Ground and High Altitude by Hydrogen Peroxide/Kerosene Engine)

  • 고농도 과산화수소와 케로신을 추진제로 하는 액체 로켓 엔진을 이용하여 수직형 연소 실험대에 고고도 모사용 디퓨저와 기 검증된 추력 측정 장치를 장착하여 지상 및 고고도 모사 연소 실험 설비를 구축하였으며, 고도에 따른 추력 특성을 고찰하였다. 선행으로 고고도 모사용 디퓨저의 특성 및 시동압력을 검증하기 위하여 1:4.8 스케일로 축소한 디퓨저를 설계 및 제작하였다. 축소형 디퓨저는 질소 가스를 이용하여 cold flow test를 수행하여 성능 및 시동 특성을 확인하였으며, 그 결과 연소 실험용 디퓨저의 성능 안정성과 시동 특성을 확보하였다. 수직형 연소 실험대에 고고도 모사용 디퓨저와 추력 측정 장치를 장착하고, 시스템 저항에 대한 추력 보정식을 도출하였다. 추력 보정식은 실제 연소 실험 전에 수행한 추력 단계별 실험과 진공 단계별 실험을 통하여 도출하였다. 작동 고도가 10km인 노즐을 설계, 제작하여 지상 연소 실험 및 고고도 모사 연소 실험을 수행하여 작동 고도 변화에 따른 추력 특성을 분석하였다. 추력 측정 장치에서 계측한 추력값을 이용하여 실제 추력을 각각의 보정식을 이용하여 계산하였다.

  • 고체 추진기관의 추력 조절의 한 방법인 핀틀 노즐 기술은 초음속 유동장 내부에 핀틀을 위치시키고 핀틀의 위치를 조절하여 노즐 목 면적을 조절함으로써 추력의 크기를 조절한다. 본 연구는 Needle형 핀틀이 초음속 유동장 내부에서 구동될 때 발생하는 핀틀 팁에서의 압력변화와 핀틀노즐의 비정상 유동특성에 대해 분석하였다. 연구 결과 초음속 유동장 내부에서 핀틀이 움직일 때 핀틀팁에서의 압력변화가 발생하고, 이러한 압력변화에 따라 추력변화가 야기됨을 비정상상태 해석으로 확인하였다.

자동차 냉각수 폐열회수 열전발전 시스템의 성능에 관한 연구 (An Experimental Study on Thermoelectric Generator Performance for Waste Coolant Recovery Systems in Vehicles)

  • This study indicated the possibility of energy regeneration from waste coolant heat, by using thermoelectric generation integrated with heat pipe. The internal combustion engine rejects more than 60% wasteful energy to the atmosphere by heat. The thermoelectric generator has recently been studied, to convert the energy from engine waste heat into electricity. For coolant waste heat recovery, a thermoelectric generator was investigated, to find out the possibility of vehicular application. Performance characteristics were conducted with various test conditions of coolant temperature, coolant mass flow rate, air temperature, and air velocity, with the thermoelectric generator installed either horizontally or vertically. Experimental results show that the electric power and conversion efficiency increases according to the temperature difference between the hot and cold side of the thermoelectric generator, and the coolant flow rate of the hot side heat exchanger. Performance improvement can be expected by optimizing the heat pipe design.

Evaluation criteria for freezing and thawing of tunnel concrete lining according to theoretical and experimental analysis

  • Abnormal climate events are occurring frequently around the world. In particular, cold waves and heavy snow lead to damage and deterioration of facilities, which can cause loss of life or property damage, such as shortening the lifespan of facilities. Therefore, it is very important to prepare an appropriate maintenance system and to establish a strategy to cope with abnormal weather conditions. In this study, laboratory freezing experiments were performed to analyze the freeze-thaw characteristics affecting the tunnel concrete lining, and heat flow analysis was carried out based on the test results. Based on these experimental and theoretical analysis results, quantitative freeze-thaw evaluation criteria for tunnel concrete linings were proposed.

  • 기체메탄/액체산소를 추진제로 사용하는 동축 스월/전단형 인젝터를 설계 및 제작하였다. 각 추진제의 오리피스 개수와 유입오리피스 후단의 형상 등은 상용 해석프로그램인 Fluent를 이용하여 유동해석을 수행한 결과를 바탕으로 결정하였다. 설계/제작된 인젝터는 수류시험을 통해 차압에 따른 설계유량을 측정하였고, 패터네이터를 이용하여 유량분포의 균일성을 확인하였다. 측정결과 설계 유량의 약10% 내외의 차이를 보였으며, 산화제 인젝터의 분무각은 $66^{\circ}$로 측정되었다.
