The purpose of this study is to provide the basic data for improving the coping ability of clinical nurses by deeply analyzing and understanding the bioethics dilemma the clinical nurses experience in the COVID-19 pandemic. To understand the essence of bioethics dilemma the clinical nurses would experience in the COVID-19 pandemic, this study interviewed with a clinical nurse and then analyzed it by using Colaizzi (1978)'s phenomenological method. In the results of this study, total three theme clusters were drawn such as 'Agony to face a situation that violates the principle of respect for man's life and dignity', 'Frustration and confusion caused by the situation in which the principle of good deed and prohibition of evil deed cannot be kept', and 'Doubt about fulfilling and not fulfilling the principle of justice'. To improve the ability to cope with bioethics dilemma the clinical nurses experience in the pandemic situation based on the results of this study, it would be necessary to establish the education and policy for clinical nurses, and also to make efforts to improve the treatment of nurses.

Purpose: The purpose of this phenomenological study was to explore middle-aged child care providers' experience in caring for children in the community. Methods: The participants were 10 middle-aged child care providers. In-depth interviews were conducted between August and September, 2014 until data. Colaizzi's method of data analysis was applied to inductively determine themes and formulated meanings. Data saturation was achieved and methodological rigor was established Results: Four themes were extracted from 12 meanings. The four themes of the child care providers' experience in caring for children were: 1) weariness from care-giving, 2) the search for one's own solutions, 3) a cheerful attitude to life, 4) the opportunity to start a new life. Conclusion: The results of this study provide useful information for understanding child care providers' experiences in caring for children and establishing effective strategies to support these child care providers.

Purpose: This study was to explore the experiences of perioperative patients with cancer. The purpose of this inquiry was to describe the essence of such experiences, and to understand them from the patients' point of view. Method: Participants in this study were 9 cancer patients with ages ranging from 31 to 70 years old, living in B city, who experienced cancer operations. Data collection consisted of in-depth interviews and an observation method done from October to December in 2003. In analysing data, Colaizzi's(1978) phenomenological research method was adopted. Results: Five categories emerged from ten theme clusters. The five categories were: 'shock', 'expectations & wishes', 'despair', 'feelings of burden', 'continual pain'. Conclusion: The results of this study showthat oncology nurses need to pay more attention to the psychosocial aspect of nursing to empathize and support the cancer patients who suffer and its treatment, and operations.

Purpose: The ultimate aim of the inquiry was to discover the essence of nurse's experience and promote understanding. Method : Guided by Colaizzi's method - 1. Description of the phenomena of interest by the reader. 2. collection of subject's description of the phenomena, 3. Reading all the subject's descriptions of the phenomenon, 4. Returning the original transcripts and extracting significant statements, 5. Trying to spell out the meaning of each significant statements, 6. Organizing the aggregate formalized meanings into clusters of themes. 7. Writing an exhaustive description, 8. Returning to the subjects for validation of the description, 9. If new data fare revealed during the validations incorporating them into an exhaustive description. The participants in this study were eight are nurses working for clinics. This strategies for data collecting were needed : deep face to face interview. Results : 6 cluster of themes are : 1. the heavy pressure, 2. the pride and the royal summons, 3. the powerlessness, 4. the hope, 5. the tiresome. 6. the distressed feeling. Conclusion : The results of the this study would help us to understand nurses in clinics, make direction for nursing education, and identify need for continuing inquiry.

The purpose of this study was to explore the experience of academic probation in health-related college students. The participants who had the experience of academic probation among health-related college students were joined by the snowball method, and the data were analyzed by Colaizzi's method which is one of the phenomenological research methods. As a result, 96 meaningful statements were derived, and 39 themes, 15 theme clusters, and 6 categories were extracted from the meaningful statements. The six categories consisted of 'My life which was pushed from others', 'Clothes which don't fit me', 'I who was getting smaller' 'Trusting me', 'The force that holds me', and 'Indomitable will'. As results of this study, it is important to prepare and develop programs to support the health-related college students who have experienced academic probation, and special care could prevent to drop those students from colleges.

This study is a phenomenological study on the experience of mothers of sexually abused children. The participants were 6 mothers whose children were sexually abused. The data was then analyzed according to Colaizzi's method. 253 sentences and phrases, 65 formulating meanings that were general, metaphysical, 27 theme, 13 theme clusters, 5 categories based on interview were selected. The following are the findings of study. 1. Shock : Perplexity, Confusion 2. Coping ; Settlement 3. Mental anguish: Anger, Anxiety, Suffering, Isolation 4. Conquest: Stabilization, Acceptance, Consolation, Change 5. Scar: Extant of anxiety, Concern The results show that the experience of the mother of sexually abused children changed over a period of time and they were willing to protect their children and resolve the issues within society. This research contributed to an understanding of the experience of mothers of sexually abused children, using phenomenological research method without the resource of previous study. This study suggests that social welfare services is needed for sexually abused children and their mothers.

Purpose : This study phenomenologically explores and describes the experiences of pediatric occupational therapists during parents consultation. Method : In this study, Colaizzi's phenomenological research method was applied. Telephone interview was conducted with six people who had more than eight years of clinical experience in pediatric occupational therapy and were working at a private center. Each interview was recorded with the consent of the subject and analyzed after transcription. Results : In this study, 21 themes, 4 theme clusters, and 2 categories were derived. The categories were the importance of parents consultation and factors influencing parents consultation. The theme clusters were the meaning of parents counseling, the reciprocity of the parent, the child and the therapist, the efforts of the therapist, and the competencies required of the occupational therapist. Conclusion : The results of this study may be helpful for first-time pediatric occupational therapists who are having difficulties with parents consultation. This work can also be used as basic data for developing educational programs and materials for improving the parental consultation skills of pediatric occupational therapists in the future.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the experiences of male nurses working in PACU. Methods: A phenomenological method was used in this study. Data were collected by individual in-depth interviews with six participants. Colaizzi's phenomenology has been adapted as a research method in this qualitative study. Results: 4 categories, 9 theme clusters, and 21 themes were identified. The 4 categories derived from the data as follows: 'Beginning my career in nursing ','Facing difficult reality', 'Striving to survive', 'Full adjustment in the workplace' Conclusion: These results could help to expand understanding the role of male nurses working in the PACU. In additions, the results could help basic data for men to develop effective strategies and educational programs.

This study aimed to deeply understand the employment support experience of mature nursing students. We interviewed 8 mature nursing students in universities in K and D, and analyzed the data through Colaizzi's method which was one of the phenomenological research method. It was composed of 4 themes and 8 sub-themes. The participants were preparing for employment by making efforts to increase the conformity of employment conditions while facing limitations to employment such as age. In addition, they were making efforts to find employment by finding their strengths as mature students, strengthening their will to work, and building a foundation for becoming professional nurses. Therefore, it is necessary to establish an institutional foundation and develop a programme to support the employment of mature nursing students, and carry out specific and empirical follow-up studies.

The purpose of this study is to understand the information use experience of total blindness with OTT. To achieve the study purpose, in-depth interview with nine total blindness using a semi-structured checklist was conducted. The data were analyzed using Colaizzi's phenomenological method. This study has found 5 categories, 13 theme clusters, and 47 themes. The five categories are as follows: 1) the purpose of information use, 2) difficulties of information use, 3) handling of difficulty in information seeking, 4) perception and feeling, 5) improvement requirement The implications of this study are as follows; 1) There are no significant differences between total blindness and the general people of Information request topic in the use of OTT, 2) negative experience was connected with the accessibility with OTT, 3) there is a demand of better conditions with technical sides of OTT, 4) On the whole, they have a positive perception with OTT services.
