This study used the functions for public benefits as a standard for evaluating Green Tourism. By referring to the existing literature, the "function of building emotion", the "function of providing a natural environment", the "function of preserving traditional cultures", and the "function of maintaining the local community" have been selected as the measuring variables. Detailed sub-variables of each function were prepared to examine and analyze the recognition of these are the part of Green Tourists. The Green Tourists of Yangsuri in Yangpyeong, Sinnonri in Yangpyeong, and Jurokri in Yeoju participated in the survey for which 13 variables were used as measurement. The results are as follows: First, Green Tourists recognize farm villages as places for rest and relaxation and they laid great importance on the function of providing access to the natural environment. Secondly, out of the 13 measurement variables, "beautiful scenery in farm village", "making a contribution to village income", and "trust in agricultural products" greatly influenced the overall evaluation of Green Tourism. Thirdly, regarding the relationship between the functions for public benefits and Green Tourism, it was found that "facilities and activities for experiencing farming", "facilities for rest", and "beautiful scenery in farm villages" are closely related to building the emotion experienced in these villages, and that "cultivating environmentally-friendly agricultural products" and "beautiful scenery in farm village" are closely related to the function of providing access to the natural environment.

Non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI) has been noted as a significant risk factor for possible suicide attempts. According to the Interpersonal Psychological Theory of Suicide, individuals can attempt suicide after they have acquired the capability to commit it. The acquired capability for suicide can be defined as one's habituated level to the pain and fear associated with suicidal behaviors. This is obtained through constant exposure to painful and provocative events, NSSIs being a prime example. This article reviews prior related studies to determine the extent to which the acquired capability for suicide can be utilized as a predictive factor for fatal suicide attempts following NSSIs. Our review finds a total of 11 studies that directly or indirectly support the claim that the acquired capability for suicide should be considered as a relevant factor linking NSSIs and suicide attempts. Given that NSSIs are most frequently observed in clinical settings, our findings suggest that the acquired capability for suicide will be a useful indicator for clinicians to predict the risk of future suicide attempts by patients.
Objectives Memory impairment is a very important mental health issue for elderly and adults. Mild cognitive impairment (MCI) is a prodromal stage of Alzheimer's disease (AD). Early detection of the prodromal stage of patients with AD is an important topic of interest for both mental health clinicians and policy makers. Methods Electroencephalograpgy (EEG) has been used as a possible biological marker for patients with MCI, and AD. In this review, we will summarize the clinical implications of EEG and ERP as a biological marker for AD and MCI. Results EEG power density, functional coupling, spectral coherence, synchronization, and connectivity were analyzed and proved their clinical efficacy in patients with the prodromal stage of AD. Serial studies on late event-related potentials (ERPs) were also conducted in MCI patients as well as healthy elders. Even though these EEG and ERP studies have some limitations for their design and method, their clinical implications are increasing rapidly. Conclusion EEG and ERP can be used as biological markers of AD and MCI. Also they can be used as useful tools for early detection of AD and MCI patients. They are useful and sensitive research tools for AD and MCI patients. However, some problems remain to be solved until they can be practical measures in clinical setting.
This study was an exploratory approach to the cognitive model of textile designers on the stage of motif development in textile design process. Prior to the main research, several previous studies adopting methods of video/audio protocol analysis were reviewed. On the basis of the review, the categories of design action were derived as an analysis frame by application of top-down access method, meanwhile the sub-groups of each category of design action were identified through a bottom-up access method. To summarize the research result, total three categories of textile design action appeared based on the theory of ‘Human processor’ model : ‘motor action’, ‘perceptual action’ and 'cognitive action'. In next, a new coding scheme suitably explaining these three categories of fertile design action was developed. Finally, a cognitive model of textile designer on the stage of motif development, employing the new coding scheme, was suggested in this study.
As the main cause of car accidents is driver distraction, HUD utilization is important to boost drivers' front-observing. Recently, As HUD includes a variety of contents products have appeared on market, the possibility increases cognitive load while driving. The purpose of this study is that currently being used HUD contents how much affect drivers while driving. To investigate about it, the experiment is examined cognitive aspect with utilization aspect of different gender and illuminance environment. The study provides, in accordance with the internal and external illuminance, the visibility make a difference. The gap between the internal and external illuminance is higher, the visibility is better. Also, this study confirms that HUD's awareness of contents depends on driving information. Drivers concentrate more on higher related driving contents than lower ones.
In order to understand the character of university students, this study confirmed the gender tendency of whether there is a difference in the character of university students according to gender, and if there is a difference, what characteristics there are. It was confirmed through which pathways the cognitive, emotional, and behavioral factors, which are the character factors of university students, affect them. The research results are as follows. First, according to gender, the character of university students was found to be different in all areas of cognition, emotion, and behavior. It was confirmed that female students were higher than male students in all areas. Second, as for the pathways of university student character factors, it was confirmed that the higher the level of the cognitive domain, the higher the level of the affective domain, and the behavioral domain was improved. The results derived from this study can be objective basic data for developing a character education course or program for university students.

Objective : The purpose of this study is to compare the signal obtained from the frontal 2-electrodes EEG with that obtained from the temporal, central, and parietal 2 electrodes. Methods : EEGs were recorded in a total of 67 patients with major depressive disorder (MDD), 104 patients with schizophrenia (SCZ), and 29 patients with Alzheimer's disease (AD). For each disease group, there were healthy controls (HC) that were paired accordingly (HC1=69, HC2=104, HC3=27). The following measurements were compared across electrodes: band power, alpha peak frequency (APF), APF power, alpha asymmetry (AA), and Kolmogorov complexity (KC). Results : Statistically significant differences were found in band power measured from frontal electrodes compared to electrodes placed in other locations. Specifically, the power of theta waves was measured higher in the temporal electorodes, alpha 1 and alpha 2 waves in the parietal, beta 1 and beta 2 in the central, and gamma waves in the temporal electrodes. Both SCZ and AD patients showed increased theta power in all electrodes. In SCZ patients, APF decreased in the central and temporal electrodes, but the APF power analysis showed no difference between the patients and controls. Additionally, AD patients exhibited increased AA in the central EEG, while SCZ patients showed decreased KC in the parietal and temporal electrodes. Conclusion : Depending on the electrode location, sensitive EEG frequencies differed. Compared with signals from other electrodes, frontal EEG in MDD patients revealed generally constant signal values, though the temporo-parieto-central electrodes appeared to be more reliable in SCZ and AD patients.
It is crucial to process not only social cognitive information but also various emotional information for appropriate social interaction in everyday life. The processing of emotions embedded in social stimuli is affected by various context and external factors and the features of their own. Emotion discrimination tasks using point-light biological motion were conducted in this study to understand the factors influencing emotion processing and their effects. A target biological motion with angry or happy emotion was presented in the first task in red, green, white, or yellow color. A white angry, happy, or neutral "cue" biological motion was displayed simultaneously. Participants judged the emotion of the target relative to the cue stimulus by comparing the target with the cue. The second task used only emotionally neutral stimuli to find effect by the color itself. The results indicated an association between the specific color of the target and emotion. Red facilitated processing anger, whereas green appeared to facilitate happy emotion. The discrimination accuracy was high when the emotions of the cue and the target were identical in general, but the combination of red color and anger yielded different results compared with the rest of the conditions. Some illusory emotional responses associated with the target colors were observed in the second task. We could observe the effects of external factors in this study, affecting the emotional processing using biological motion rather than conventional face stimuli. Possible follow-up studies and clinical research were discussed.
This study, by applying the experiential and psychological thought category of "impression" as the space design strategy for drawing out "sensitivity," aims to break down the psychological mechanism forming the image held by the subject, and based on such segmentation, seek and strategize an effective design methodology. The subject's memory, pure sensation, and movement sensation are set as the preceding determinants comprising the psychological mechanism of space impression. The control determinants for achieving activation of psychological effect are reinterpreted as the relations of memory-cognition, sensation-perception, and movement-sensation and categorized into a cognitive strategy based on association, metaphor and remembrance; a direct sensation strategy based on formation, superposition and transposition of sensation; and a sensation strategy of process-formation based on expectation organization and reversal, contraction and relaxation. Each strategy is achieved through the formal, material and structural control of architecture. As a restructuring of the design methodology that has been experientially applied, the strategy categorization is important in that, by presenting the usefulness and effect by strategy according to space experience, it makes concrete the basic data that are useful for designing experience of sensitivity.
Jeongji(情志) in Chinese medicine refers to a series of psychological activity which is expressed as hui(喜), no(怒), wu(優), sa(思), bi(悲), gong(恐), gyeong(驚), together with emotion, sentiment, and cognition, which are manifested as responses of the human body to environmental changes both inside and outside. Sa(思) is a major cognitive activity, and the other six emotions are main emotional activities. The emphasis on the interrelationship between cognition, sentiment, and emotional activity is a unique characteristic of the Jeongji(情志) concept in China. Jeongji[Mental] disorder refers to a series of diseases that has a close link between the attack, clinical presentation and emotional stimulation. The attack is deeply affected by emotional stimulation, with which physical symptoms are either present or absent. However, emotional changes are clear most of the time, their effect on disease development noticeable as well. To sum up, Jeongji[Mental] disorder is related to a wide range of medical problems in fields such as internal, surgical, gynecology, pediatrics, and various psychiatric disorders, not to mention contemporary psychological disorders, neurosis, and all kinds of mental illnesses of today. Moreover, the mental and physical disorders of today all share a common pathogenesis, clinical manifestation and treatment discipline. All the more reason for deeper professional research.
