A Case Study on Design of Theme-based Integrated Learning by Using QR Code (QR코드를 활용한 주제중심 통합학습 설계 사례연구)

  • This research aims at suggesting a case of designing theme-based integrated learning for usage smart media. New approach and direction for developing a gaming instructional design was suggested which can encourage learners to participate in. Quest-based learning, the learning environment design where learners conduct various learner-centered activities, plays an important role of reinforcing the motivation, promoting experiential and cooperative learning based on social interaction. The design using QR codes has been proved to be able to offer the learner-centered learning environment which includes social interaction strategy required for learners expanding their cognitive structure, motivation enhancing strategy encouraging their consistent participation in learning, complex problematic situation and scaffolding strategy emphasized by constructivism. And it is expected to contribute to promoting the design of theme-based integrated learning which is being demanded in the educational environment recently by combining systematic design process and strategies.

Optimal Gas Detection System in Cargo Compressor Room of Gas Fueled LNG Carrier (가스추진 LNG 운반선의 가스 압축기실에 설치된 가스검출장치의 최적 배치에 관한 연구)

  • This study analyzes the optimal location of gas detectors through the gas dispersion in a cargo compressor room of a 174K LNG carrier equipped with high-pressure cargo handling equipment; in addition, we propose a reasonable method for determining the safety regulations specified in the new International Code of the Construction and Equipment of Ships Carrying Liquefied Gases in Bulk (IGC). To conduct an LNG gas dispersion simulation in the cargo compressor room-equipped with an ME-GI engine-of a 174 K LNG carrier, the geometry of the room as well as the equipment and piping, are designed using the same 3D size at a 1-to-1 scale. Scenarios for a gas leak were examined under high pressure of 305 bar and low pressure of 1 bar. The pinhole sizes for high pressure are 4.5, 5.0, and 5.6mm, and for low pressure are 100 and 140 mm. The results demonstrate that the cargo compressor room will not pose a serious risk with respect to the flammable gas concentration as verified by a ventilation assessment for a 5.6 mm pinhole for a high-pressure leak under gas rupture conditions, and a low-pressure leak of 100 and 140 mm with different pinhole sizes. However, it was confirmed that the actual location of the gas detection sensors in a cargo compressor room, according to the new IGC code, should be moved to other points, and an analysis of the virtual monitor points through a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation.

The Meditating Effects of Public Employees Professionalism on the Relationship between Public Occupational Ethical Awareness and Organizational Commitment (공무원 직업윤리의식과 조직몰입의 관계에서 직업전문성의 매개효과)

  • Occupational ethical awareness is a system of norms and standards of behavior and an important component of professionalism that affects organizational performance and commitment. The purpose of this study is to examine the mediating effect of professionalism on the relationship between job ethics and organizational commitment of civil servants. A survey was conducted on 300 central government officials with more than one year of employment. 261 copies were used for the final analysis. The results are as follows. First, the vocational ethics of civil servants had a significant effect on professionalism. The higher the years of service, the higher the level of ethics. Second, the work ethic of public officials had a significant effect on organizational commitment. These results can be interpreted as the internal commitment of civil servants to the state of work ethic. Third, the mediating effect of professionalism was verified in the relationship between public morality and organizational commitment. Based on these results, the public ethics of public servants are the basis for accepting public values and goals. Vocational expertise with embedded codes of conduct and value systems influences organizational commitment. As a practical implication for improving the ethical ethics of public officials, education programs for improving ethical consciousness according to job titles and duties were provided, and the ethical ethical competence was presented.

A Research Analysis of QR code based on big data in Korea

  • Recently, Information and Communication Technology and SMART Phone Technology have been rapidly developed. According to the increase of data use, the era of big data has come. With the approach of non-contact society, QR Codes are becoming inseparable in our lives. In this paper, we are trying to figure out the implications of QR Code research based on Big Data in Korea. The purpose of this study is to first examine the previous studies on "QR Code" and conduct an analysis on keywords by field using Big Data. Second, for data visualization WordCloud analysis and network analysis are performed on "QR Code" frequent keyword. Third, we would like to present the research direction to future researchers regarding "QR Code". In the results, First of all, research trends showed that research is on the rise and that various fields are being utilized. Second, the results of the analysis of frequent keyword resulted in similar results overall, with some differences depending on the field and year. Third, we found that the visualization results according to the frequent keyword were also analyzed in the same way as the frequent keyword analysis results. The practical implications of the theoretical findings are as follows. First, 'QR Code' needs to be studied as a means of information delivery, not as a technical aspect. Second, it can be seen that "QR Code" is developing reflecting social trends or issues. With both theoretical and practical implications, we are trying to provide the strategic ways of QR-code in future.

Maintaining Professional Dignity in the Age of Social Media (소셜미디어 시대에서 의료전문직으로서의 품위 유지)

  • Although the use of social media by doctors raises important issues concerning medical professionalism, the relevant professional bodies in South Korea have failed to issue clear guidelines on social media usage. The Korean Medical Association's newly revised ethics guidelines do require members to maintain dignity while using social media, but the idea of "maintaining dignity" is far from clear, and its premodern connotation prevents it from being reliably used in professional codes of conduct. The authors of this article examine the concept of maintaining dignity and conclude that once it is clarified and redefined it can and should be used as a viable ethical standard in a variety of contexts, including the use of social media. Social media's unpredictability and uncontrollability, and the blurred distinction between professional/public and personal/private can be a threat to medical professionalism. In order to deal with this threat, the concept of dignity is important. We present three examples in which the dignity of medical professionals is undermined and explain why these jeopardize public trust. We conclude that in order to maintain public trust the Korean Medical Association should provide more detailed guidelines on the use of social media by its members.

  • Disasters have been diversifying and the scale of disaster has been increasing worldwide due to the global warming and urbanization. Consequently, it is essential to establish the systematic disaster management because the scale of damages has been rapidly increasing. Nowadays, the importance of the standardized disaster management have been realized internationally due to the 9.11 terror and Tsunami. Also, the activities of research and development to utilize and establish the disaster management standards have been increasing. This study mainly focused on generating an efficient operating manual to support the systematic disaster management of the central administration office based on disaster management standard in South Korea. Firstly, the activities and status of disaster management performed by the central administration office were investigated. Accordingly, libraries of work, functions, organizations, references and behavior for disaster management were designed. Then, a method to make the efficient operation manual based on the constructed libraries was presented to maximize the efficiency of disaster management. This emergency operation manual could support the systematic disaster management by defining the work, function, references and the codes of conduct. Thus, central administration office would be able to define methods and procedures from preparation to recovery through the utilization of the operation manual.

  • The purpose of this study is to develope BIM Template according to major building material for efficiently and quantitatively evaluating greenhouse gas emission at the design stage. Template users consider various environmental impacts without connecting simulation tools for analyzing environmental impact and Template users who have no prior knowledge can Life Cycle Assessment by using The green template. For this study, Database which was reflected in template was constructed considering environmental performance. and 6 kinds of environmental impact categories and PPS standard construction codes were analyzed by major building material derived from literature. Based on this analyzed data, The major Material Family according to the main building material was developed. When users conduct modeling by utilizing Family established, evaluating result can be confirmed in the Revit BIM Modeling program by using the schedule function of the Revit. Users through the modeling, the decision-making environment performance possible. In addition, we propose to create a guideline for the steps required to build an additional established family.

E-Commerce in the Historical Approach to Usage and Practice of International Trade ("무역상무(貿易商務)에의 역사적(歷史的) 어프로치와 무역취인(貿易取引)의 전자화(電子化)")

  • The author believes that the main task of study in international trade usage and practice is the management of transactional risks involved in international sale of goods. They are foreign exchange risks, transportation risks, credit risk, risk of miscommunication, etc. In most cases, these risks are more serious and enormous than those involved in domestic sales. Historically, the merchant adventurers organized the voyage abroad, secured trade finance, and went around the ocean with their own or consigned cargo until around the $mid-19^{th}$ century. They did business faceto-face at the trade fair or the open port where they maintained the local offices, so-called "Trading House"(商館). Thererfore, the transactional risks might have been one-sided either with the seller or the buyer. The bottomry seemed a typical arrangement for risk sharing among the interested parties to the adventure. In this way, such organizational arrangements coped with or bore the transactional risks. With the advent of ocean liner services and wireless communication across the national border in the $19^{th}$ century, the business of merchant adventurers developed toward the clear division of labor; sales by mercantile agents, and ocean transportation by the steam ship companies. The international banking helped the process to be accelerated. Then, bills of lading backed up by the statute made it possible to conduct documentary sales with a foreign partner in different country. Thus, FOB terms including ocean freight and CIF terms emerged gradually as standard trade terms in which transactional risks were allocated through negotiation between the seller and the buyer located in different countries. Both of them did not have to go abroad with their cargo. Instead, documentation in compliance with the terms of the contract(plus an L/C in some cases) must by 'strictly' fulfilled. In other words, the set of contractual documents must be tendered in advance of the arrival of the goods at port of discharge. Trust or reliance is placed on such contractual paper documents. However, the container transport services introduced as international intermodal transport since the late 1960s frequently caused the earlier arrival of the goods at the destination before the presentation of the set of paper documents, which may take 5 to 10% of the amount of transaction. In addition, the size of the container vessel required the speedy transport documentation before sailing from the port of loading. In these circumstances, computerized processing of transport related documents became essential for inexpensive transaction cost and uninterrupted distribution of the goods. Such computerization does not stop at the phase of transportation but extends to cover the whole process of international trade, transforming the documentary sales into less-paper trade and further into paperless trade, i.e., EDI or E-Commerce. Now we face the other side of the coin, which is data security and paperless transfer of legal rights and obligations. Unfortunately, these issues are not effectively covered by a set of contracts only. Obviously, EDI or E-Commerce is based on the common business process and harmonized system of various data codes as well as the standard message formats. This essential feature of E-Commerce needs effective coordination of different divisions of business and tight control over credit arrangements in addition to the standard contract of sales. In a few word, information does not alway invite "trust". Credit flows from people, or close organizational tie-ups. It is our common understanding that, without well-orchestrated organizational arrangements made by leading companies, E-Commerce does not work well for paperless trade. With such arrangements well in place, participating E-business members do not need to seriously care for credit risk. Finally, it is also clear that E-International Commerce must be linked up with a set of government EDIs such as NACCS, Port EDI, JETRAS, etc, in Japan. Therefore, there is still a long way before us to go for E-Commerce in practice, not on the top of information manager's desk.
