조종실 온도 영향성 검증을 위한 캐노피 투명체 코팅 연구 (The Canopy Transparency Coating Study of Cockpit Temperature Effect Verification)

  • Under the non-operating exposure condition in the hot area, the T-50 cockpit temperature is expected over the requirement according to T-50 environmental criteria. So it is necessary to protect the cockpit from the high temperature condition during the non-operating exposure because the high temperature of the cockpit may result in the cockpit equipment malfunction. In this study, the transparency coating is selected as the method for protecting the cockpit from the high temperature exposure and analyzed the effect on the cockpit heat load attenuation. Some kinds of cockpit coating were reviewed and selected and the analysis was performed about the effect before and after coating application under 1% hot day condition based on the T-50 FSD hot soaking test data. The result of analysis show transparency coating is so effective to attenuate the heat load of T-50 cockpit.

  • One of the recent trends of cockpit development is to integrate the part of whole cockpit and compartment. The goal of this study is to develop and Analyze User's Convenience for a cockpit prototype based on the design guide of cockpit integration module. The process of this study has been followed analyzing development trend of next generation Automotive cockpit, extracting the design factor needed to making integration module and laying down the design guide of cockpit integration module. After that process, next-generation Automotive cockpit has been embodied as graphical image designing. Henceforth, applying this module to real will be considered after evaluation of utilization. THis study is indicated that one example for evaluation of utilization.

  • A glass cockpit is an aircraft cockpit that features electronic (digital) instrument displays, typically large LCD screens, rather than the traditional style of analog dials and gauges. While a traditional cockpit relies on numerous mechanical gauges to display information, a glass cockpit uses several displays driven by flight management systems, that can be adjusted to display flight information as needed. This study introduces design considerations of electronic display in KAS Part 23 airplanes.

  • 감성공학을 적용한 자동차 개발 연구의 최근 동향은 감성공학을 부분적으로 편중적으로 적용하여 소비자의 감성을 수집하고 평가하여 자동차 개발에 필요한 데이터로 변환한 후 이를 설계에 적용하고 있는 추세로 자동차 설계에서의 구체적인 감성공학 적용 상세가이드라인에 대한 사용성 평가 사례가 매우 부족한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 감성공학 적용 자동차 Cockpit 설계를 위한 가이드라인 구축의 일환으로 동급 해외 차량과 국내 차량을 각각 1대씩을 선정하여 두 차량에서의 자동차 Cockpit 형상에 대한 비교, 분석을 통한 사용 편의성 평가 실험을 시행하였다. 그 결과 벤치마킹 대상 차량의 Cockpit 물리적 형상간의 서로 다른 감성 요소를 추출해 내어 감성공학 적용 자동차 설계 시 Cockpit Object의 위치 선정를 고려하여 설계할 수 있는 내부 일부 가이드라인을 제시할 수 있었다.

  • Pilot and flight crew visual performance in general aviation aircraft operating is paramount for safe operation of the aircraft. Pilot compartment view, instrument and cockpit lighting forms an essential aspect of this visual performance, and therefore warrants guidance and standardization. This study introduces acceptable design criteria for pilot compartment view, instrument and cockpit illumination for general aviation aircraft.

  • One of the crucial factors which determine the quality and the accuracy of SEA model is how subsystems are defined. Experimental SEA technique had been a unique way to divide entire systems accurately for mid-frequency range, until FEA based virtual FRF response technique, virtual SEA method presented. Virtaul SEA has been developed for predictive SEA tool in early design process. In this study, Modal analysis results from modified crash FE model is used for Statistical transfer matrix. Observation nodes on the cockpit are grouped by attractive substructuring method based on point to point transfer and correlation matrix. Complex cockpit structure is divided into subsystems by automatic substructuring. Comparison with experimental SEA results validates the application of Virtual SEA to cockpit.

인간공학적 조종실 설계를 위한 계기 탐색 형태에 관한 연구 (Investigation of the visual search patterns of the cockpit displays for the ergonomic cockpit design)

  • There are many display panels in the flight cockpit and pilots get various flight information from those displays. The ergonomic layout of the displays must be determined based upon frequency of use and sequence of use. This study investigated the visual search patterns of the six display groups(one head-up-display: HUD, two multi function displays: MFDs, one engine group: EG, one flight display group: FD and others) in a fighting aircraft. Four expert pilots conducted Imaginary flight in the physical mock-up and the eye movements were collected using eye tracking system. Data of dwell time, frequency of use, and eye movement path were collected. Pilots spent most of time on HUD(55.2%), and others (21.6%), FD(14.2%), right MFD(4.7%), EG(3.2%), and left MFD(1.1%) in descending order. Similarly HUD(42.8%) and others(30.0%) were the most frequently visited displays. These data can be used in the layout of cockpit displays and the determination of optimal visual search pattern.
